I'm 53, I have done 5meo a good bunch of times, including big doses in buffo ceremonies in mexico and texas. It seems to me like you had a peek into the source, and you ran with a full story of your interpretation, convincing yourself that you figured it out. It sounds like a dangerous way to operate ("That's it, I'm enlightened"). Keep your curiosity and be ready for more changes of mind in life. Maybe we're not meant to "figure it out", maybe we're meant to trust the process.

@Thought Art man… you were right! kinda… the mystery is solved: it was what they call Fumarate. So I assume similar to CHL? But def not freebase, which would explain why my results have been so variable and frustrating.

I tried with a ecplise vape kit. i put around 15mg With a torch. I think I burnt it, it became like a brown liquid I kept heating it, hoping to see a white smoke, but it mostly caramelized. Then I took a long slow inhale of it, and kept it in for like 40 sec. it definitely took me to heavy breathing levels, and feeling very emotional, but it felt like a mini mini dose of buffo if I had to compare. So… I guess I’m still doing it wrong?

Hi all, I’m using a vapor genie (full glass). It works well for dmt, but not so well for 5meo dmt. I find it difficult to get consistent results. i’ve tried with a simple glass pipe as well and I couldn’t get any effect from it (plus it’s horrible on the throat). Maybe I don’t put enough? Somewhere around 12 mg, using microscoops so it’s hard to know. any advice would be great

wow! So… my new batch work. I just bought it again. It worked extremely well. I had to change my way of doing it. For dmt I slowly heat the glass top with a mini torch, indirectly, not hitting the ceramic. Then pull three long slow hits. totally different method for 5meodmt. I use a normal lighter, and placed it on the ceramic, inhaling strong hits until it started to produce a crazy thick smoke, then I took a huge hit and held it. That got me. Now I should try my previous batch again, and see it if it works. Only complaint compare to Buffo: it tastes like burnt plastic. Is it people’s experience too?

@Lynx well… I’m glad I’m not the only one, but hopefully we figure it out. i’ve tried up to 15mg, which is huge for synthetic, it would be the equivalent of 130mg of real buffo. First and only time it worked was with the vapor genie, then 6 weeks later, the same powder just never worked again: 5, 10, 15, vapor genie, simple glass pipe: nothing, no flavor, zero effect. As if the universe told me to not do it. Really disturbing. Anyway, I now have a new batch. Haven’t tried it yet, because I’m not in the headspace for that, but I will let you know if it works. It’s one of the 3 reasons: 1/I keep getting it wrong, burning it, or whatever, so I got really lucky the first time (I doubt it) 2/the 5meo freebase went bad (the chemist who made it said it’s extremely unlikely, he said it can lose scent, but it can’t lose potency) 3/the universe is trying to tell me to not do it. I mean… I’m open minded, but that seems hard to believe too. so I’m puzzled. i’d be happy to send some to someone who is 100% good at it to see if it works for them.

I am puzzled: i’ve done the toad 6 times (the venom), in a ceremonial context, so I know very well the effect. I bought 1g of 5meodmt about 2 months ago. Opened the little plastic bag, instantly recognized the smell. I tried a baby dose, just to see if it works, using a vapor genie glass pipe. Maybe 5mg: yes, totally worked. A month and a half later, tried again, this time no smell, no taste, zero effect. Tried a bigger dose, different pipes, nothing… I thought maybe it went bad, so I ordered some more: received it today: no smell… I haven’t tried to smoke this one yet but I don’t understand what’s going on with my 5meo: Am I doing it wrong? Do I burn it, did I get lucky the first time? Did my batch go bad? Does the smell go away after a few weeks? Why is it so finicky? I ordered another 5-6 substances from the same source and everything else is top quality

I come late to the party, but I have the EXACT same experience as you. I don’t see any common grounds between 5meodmt and 5meomalt. For me: The toad is mind shattering and enlightening, a once a year thing (done is 6 times myself anywhere between 60mg and 115mg), whereas 5meomalt feels like a cousin of MDMA to me, puts me on the emotional and sexual edge, without any crash

5meo dmt shoots me into nothingness, it crushes me into full submission, then I reborn, then I cry and laugh, then I feel one with the world and I love life. 5meomalt doesn’t do any of that to me: it feels like MDMA on steroids, a feeling of love that is so overwhelming that I want to cry, but also, if you allow it to let it be erotic, it’s extremely powerful and arousing. I’d have to mention that I smoke 5meoDmT (100mg freebase of the real toad venom) whereas I do 5meomalt sublingual (50mg salt). I’ve done the toad 6 times, malt 10 times. 2 very, very different chemicals for me, which is why I don’t understand why people often describe Malt as a feminine version of toad.

Vlad, I have exactly the same effect but with 5meo malt. So much that I worry for my neighbors if I was to try a bigger dose.

I typically take it sublingual. It burns a bit, but it’s ok, I keep it under the tongue for 10min and then I spit the built up saliva. for me it’s a good compromise, since snorting burns way too much, and plugging is vaguely inconvenient while leading to similar effect for me.

Ginger worked like a charm. This time I did 25mg sublingual and I cried and laughed a lot. Then I was feeling like a million bucks. Anything more than 25mg would probably be too much, but I might try the way I did sublingual was to hold it for 15min and then I spat all the built up saliva after 15min. it’s incredibly bitter and it had a “burning” sensation. am I supposed to wait that long before spitting? Am I supposed to spit it?
