  1. Suffering is a huge source of learning. At least for me it has been this way. Whether suffering is necessary or not is debatable. You might need some. Too much suffering can change the human psyche in ways which science hasn't been able to figure out yet. Although suffering has a lot of intrinsic value as it is, it often costs a huge waste of time that could have been potentially used to cultivate other abilities. There should be some room for suffering but not the whole room. Don't underestimate the power of suffering. But not wanting suffering is natural and you must work towards that. Eliminate any suffering in your limit, at the same time don't lose the opportunity to learn from it.
  2. It's easy to support UBI when it's not from your pocket. Elon Musk supports everything, except when it comes to himself. Look at how he runs Twitter.
  3. Simply ask how it impacts your health.
  4. Better relations between countries, eradicating poverty, better tracking of criminal activity, preventing exploitation of immigrants without documentation, worldwide coalition on controlling movement and immigration. This needs meta perspective and many iterations of work in the department of foreign affairs till a system is developed that effectively controls the problem. You cannot completely eliminate the problem since the problem itself is a symptom of a bigger crisis so the viable solution is to see what improvements can be made on a meta level.
  5. You'll need to take a deep dive into spirituality.
  6. I would say it's nice to have these traits to a moderate degree but there are other factors like commitment and passion which fuel their drive as well.
  7. I don't think a wall can solve anything.
  8. For that to happen you will need a large amount of experience and knowledge at your disposal.
  9. This is a valid point but what makes you believe that letting children understand sexuality is harmful to them especially given the current circumstances where children have increasingly been curious about their identity?
  10. I'm saying Consciousness is like a stream.
  11. You talk about consciousness as though it's some kind of an experience. What if consciousness was a stream of infinite existence of which we are a part of and what if these perceptions are also a part of that same consciousness.
  12. This is a relative question. You could end up doing bad things even if you started out with good intent. Nothing wrong with anything. Forgiveness can go a long way in collective healing.
  13. This has absolutely nothing to do with the general rights of Trans people. It's about their recognition and not about making them feel better. It's about letting them not feel unaccepted or discriminated against in social settings.
  14. The best option is to be clean and honest about how you feel to avoid potential disruptions and misunderstanding.
  15. They want the same dignity, worth and respect that's afforded to other general members of society. They don't want a differential treatment.
  16. They cannot be turquoise at the same time.
  17. Read a book on non violent communication.
  18. This is interesting. Depends on how you define ego. Does the definition of ego constitute emotions? If yes, then animals have an ego as do all other sentient species. If the definition of ego is complete self awareness, this is still questionable since we cannot be fully assured if animals are self-aware.
  19. Let's assume we're the most evolved form.
  20. But that's a conditional statement. Not an absolution.
