  1. One time I had a very bad and traumatizing psychedelic trip on DMT. I recorded it. Just as the terror began, the video cut off. Annoying, because I really wanted to see myself flail around the floor screaming. I was curious as to what it looked like from the outside looking in like that.
  2. Once before Rupert Spira explained things in a certain way to demonstrate the difference in the paradigm. He said something like, consciousness is like outdoors and our selves are like houses. The "outdoors" is not different from inside the house, but erecting the walls of the house creates the sense of an outside vs an inside. It is difficult sometimes when inside our homes to remember that the spaciousness (the air) in our home is not distinct from the spaciousness outside of them. In this paradigm, the real actual consciousness is like the "outdoors" and things like your human self are constructions happening inside of you. You could tear down a house and erect the same house 100 years later. The air has never "gone" anywhere nor has it come back in some way, only the house has gone and returned. So I guess to the person it would be like teleporting 100 years forward. Or like that theory about the Star Trek transporter machine, that every time you transport the original body is technically destroyed, so the one that is beamed down on the planet is merely a clone with all your memories etc. But to the clone, it will seem like they have always been this person.
  3. No it is also possible through traumatic events and big changes in living situation (e.g. moving country or whatever big thing). I think it's because it's like a cow walking upstairs, where once you go up a step you can't go back down. You literally need to be shoved and fall down the stairs to then navigate them from the start, fresh, and do it better. You really have to crumble and start new to get beyond your current situation sometimes... It may be easier to get fat and then become a fitness freak and get lean, than being slightly skinnyfat and trying to become shredded, because the motivation to make major effort is not there when you're just chubby, but IS there when you're obese and ugly... It's in desperate moments that we gain motivation to take huge actions. Humans typically lack the drive to go from a 9 to a 10 in whatever endeavour. They need to be at a low point where they're suffering from it enough to be willing to make big changes.
  4. It might be my favorite myth, there's a lot to it as a message. The suffering doesn't end by getting the boulder to the top of the mountain, it ends by finding happiness in the current moment of pushing.
  5. In the Sisyphus myth (or maybe a commentary ABOUT the myth in some other fiction), Sisyphus learns to find joy in the act of pushing the boulder itself, without caring that the boulder will never reach the top. The act of pushing it gave him purpose.
  6. It's luck. I don't think you can really control the super strong drugs, they just sort of cosmically rape you. If you're fortunate then it will just stop that. You can induce it in lucid dreams sometimes. Might even be more reliable that way... When you know 100% you're dreaming your mind KNOWS you aren't behind the PoV's eyes in the dream and that can remove the sense of locality.
  7. He doesn't, my friend went to one of his free seminars for the memes. He's a legit scam artist charlatan, he just wants your money lol.
  8. The man with the highest recorded IQ currently, wrote some Advaita Vedanta type theory of existence. Also some very famous Western physicists in the past were fixated on Vedanta and wrote books about it. It seems more about a certain shift in the brain than any sort of intelligence, because drugs can induce apparent revelations that way in redneck hicks and whatever else. I doubt IQ makes a person more susceptible to that... Might be less, arguably, because a lot of higher IQ people are overthinkers and thus resistant to altered states of perception like hypnosis, meditation, etc. They can't quiet their mental activity.
  9. He's a literal con-artist liar and crook, I'm not sure why you're even watching the videos to begin with.
  10. There has to be at least something comprehended or the drug trips wouldn't have any affect at all, right? How could you smoke a drug and conclude you are God/limitless if there wasn't something which you understood that led to that conclusion?
  11. Extreme PTSD-like flashbacks. I would be trying to go to sleep then be hit by a hardcore flashback, and come back to and look around my bed for the pipe and drugs etc convinced that I had just done drugs, when actually I was sober. Thoughts about existence and death and other weird topics are in my mind 100x more often than sex, it's almost like OCD intrusive thoughts.
  12. I am experiencing the same thing, but I am only on year 3 since last psychedelic use. I thought I was entering those states by thinking really hard or somehow altering my perspective, but I think now that I was simply being re-dosed with the psychedelic drug, and there is no way to experience it via thinking OR by not thinking or whatever else. For the first year I would randomly cry at things, like I would cry at commercials about broccoli, just nonsense. That stopped now. I think in time "reactivations" will also stop. They are already very spaced out and uncommon. My memory is destroyed too. I sound like an idiot when I talk because I can't get spoken words out as easily, and can barely verbalize simple concepts.
  13. Everything is "Brahman", everything else is just name and form. E.g. a bronze statue is Brahman taking the form of "bronze statue", and so on. This of course includes yourself, and whatever other thing that exists.
  14. He is and watch it happen right now, you're reading these words as a voice, yet there's nobody else in the room with you. So whose voice do you suspect it is? Isn't it your own? It sounded fairly accurate of a post to me anyway.
