  1. I don't know how to phrase this exactly, but a lot of times on the forum and elsewhere we like to make a distinction between the two, with the end goal being embodying the higher self right? and dropping the ego. My belief atm is we cannot entirely drop the ego. So what about..if we strive to embody the higher self, within the context of the ego..or embody the ego within the context of the higher self?? lol. My thoughts are messy
  2. I love this, it made me think of how wood looks like inside when it's eaten by fire
  3. @Prabhaker what is dynamic meditation?
  4. I feel like adding one too 'on the road' ..to nowhere

  6. lol And so the prediction was true
  7. What do you mean here? And ok, I think I saw it coming..Im not asking whether I should watch tv or not, Im just asking if there is a way to watch tv in the best way possible? In situations where for example you want to be in the presence of your family or friends who enjoy to watch a tv show or something.
  8. There are different ways of experiencing life and virtual is one of them. If a child is always in the virtual world he/she will miss out on things in the 'real' world. If he/she is always in the real world they will miss out on virtual things. It's all about balance right..
  9. @Peace and Love me too,can i be in your reiki journal ? Im curious
  10. When you are forced to do something you don't enjoy, how can you make the best of this type of situation and use it to your benefit instead of it being a pain?
  11. You say no, and I say yes I will dust your little angels grandma, all of them ..
  12. Hey Nahm, yes. I was being general.. what is this game ? 'hide the pickle'? Is it nice? So here are two examples that lead me to this question: One example is: I am visiting my grandparents and my grandma asks me to clean all her little objects that are taking up dust on the shelves. For me it sounds like such a waste of time, there are so many objects and they have no purpose apart from remembering the past, but she has a strong emotional connection to them which i understand. But in the end, she cannot do everything on her own, so I will help except in my mind I'd rather just throw everything away and I end up frustrated because on one hand I want to help her but I don't want to spend my time on objects when I could spend this time with her. And she will be in another corner of the house doing something else whilst I am in another room cleaning. So it's not like we spend this time together. Another example is the one you mentioned: doing a job to pay the bills. I have to finance personal projects and I need to find a job but most of them go against my values. How can I be at peace with it, and how would a wise person react in my position? (right now, im just hating everything and everyone, including myself)
  13. I think in literature you will find arguments for both. You found a book that argues against monogamy and i bet I can find you a book that argues for it. It is possible that you have been influenced by culture, I know I am. But this is where self inquiry comes in. What will a monogamous relationship bring me that a polyamorous one cannot? Or the other way around. These answers will be different for everyone, and they are also subject to change because your needs change over time. It's all about finding the right situation for yourself in that moment in time. As a side note, romanticism is a big illusion, but it has value on a certain level too. I cannot think of how yet, but I'm pretty sure it does..It sounds better than arranged mariages anyway
  14. Oh I have one it happened just now It's the moment when the cat is sleeping next to me and then I feel a light pressure on my arm because she moved her little head to rest it there. It is magic.
  15. I would think It's like being both the audience and actor of your own movie. From the actor's perspective he/she thinks they have free will, but from the audience's perspective it's only a movie and everything is following a script.
