  1. In doubt go to Ken 😄 @Irina Wolf I have been struggling with the same thing for a long time, overly sensitive periods that turn into almost stoic person as a form of self protection. It comes and goes in waves. But Hurts more, Bothers less is my way of accepting and even deeper exploring this side of me.
  2. Check out my Spiral Dynamics playlist, to check out other perspectives on this topic.
  3. This topic is not about ultimate intelligence. Don't go talking about stuff that is 3 stages beyond this topic. This is a good next step going from IQ as the main yard stick to understanding that there is more than only IQ. Later it can be transcended/unlearned if the person is ready for it.
  4. Look into the different types of intelligences
  5. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying he is a crock or no business in doing what he is doing. Orange/Achiever is a valuable stage, use his knowledge as you see fit. But don't mistake his website is something above that. Scanning through his website, and the link, and the video in the link. I see nothing that indicates, he is above what he is teaching. If you talk about intelligence only as IQ, clear indicator you're orange/achiever. But I will respect your request to keep the rants out. I will refrain myself from this topic from now on, so people can share the information you're asking for. Good luck
  6. This is purely a Orange/Achiever mind set. Nothing more. Dan Koe has no business talking about anything higher, because he has not achieved it for himself. His view of the higher stages are tainted and warped. The bottom line is, when you transcend Orange/Achiever, you transcend the need to be in the top 1%. Use his knowledge only for the level he's in. Use other sources to get to the Green/Plural stage. This is a good start
  7. I'm not saying that. The discussion point broad up in this topic is about questioning the validity of the model because of the bias in the sample size. Which in a certain way I can relate too. The assumption that because of the small and Westernized sample size the theory is wrong is per definition bad science and close mindedness. An open minded person rules in the possibility that even by blind luck the model can be correct, but not scientifically proven. Disproving the model because of intellectual merit alone does not fly for me, especially when in real life I see the validity of this model in action every day. With limitations of course, it's not perfect. @Carl-Richard jokingly says that Cook-Greuter should be dropped off at an island. I live on a tiny 3rd world/under developed tropical island for in total 5 years. But yet my real life observations are just put aside in favour of intellectual theoretical assumptions. I would happily discuss the validity of the model with people who have field tested it. For now this is all swimming on the dry floor for me.
  8. Perfect analogy for the point I'm trying to make here.
  9. Some people want to become astronomers, some want to become astronauts Sam Neill - Jurassic Park 3 I like to get my hands dirty, not blindly believing what is being written in books. Testing theories, not blindly believing them. Not falling in the ego trap that a theory can be proven or disproven with another theory. But also aware that my sample size can have flaws in them, using theory to understand reality. Using both approaches to shape my view of reality, not blindly focussing on one. But I guess this place is lacking astronauts in favour of astronomers here.
  10. Don't forget: Limping Biscuit Corn Smells like Nirvana Alien Animal Farm 😉
  11. Did I trigger something in you? Are you taking it to personal maybe? So if being a gen z/millennial means knowing the world from your desk chair, I'm proud to be a boomer.
  12. So much "intellectuals" here without any real life experience, all their world building is done from their desk chair behind the screen and books. Travel, visit 3rd world/developing countries, and you will see the merit of experience and testing theories. These models do hold up in real life. Yes, there are limitations and some flaws. Flaws in the models and flaws in interpretations. You people are falling into the same trap as the TS was accusing Cook-Greuter of. Model based on theory, so your answer is, fighting theory with theory. Some people like to throw in difficult and strong philosophical terms. That shows even more for me the lack of real world experience. For me it's the equivalent of the image of intellectuals sitting in the big arm chairs smoking pipes. Getting high of their own intellectualism that's not grounded in anything anymore. Intellectuals debating different intellectual approaches, is the same as two religions discussing each others flaws, in the end they don't see there own epistemic flaws. Especially for the young people here. TEST your thoughts and ideas in the real world.
  13. I highly respect John Kiriakou (former CIA agent and whistleblower of the US torture program). He has been in prison for exposing the torture program. In this world there is a high price to pay for high integrity. He has been on several podcasts, most are centered around his time in the CIA and the workings of the CIA Some good insights here in the working of the CIA and governments. This interview goes deeper in his life and geo political topics. Worthy to be listened too.
  14. @MajedAnd this is why Ken Wilber pointed out the difference between Waking up and Growing up. (Next to cleaning up and showing up). Spiral Dynamics is a model that is used for Growing up not Waking up. You have awoken yourself (if I believe it to be true), but that doesn't mean you're in Turquoise my friend. You can be awake in different SD stages, blue, orange, green, yellow, turquoise. If I do the math that means your in your early 20's, 21 to 23 something like that. That is just the age between where the brain is still developing and fully developed. This is the age bracket especially for men they are over confident, lack experience and think they can take on the world. Get some more life experience first, before claiming Turquoise. It will put things more in perspective. Although it is true that we're seeing a increasing development in stages. Heck my 14 year old nephew is already deeply in orange, setting up a webshop and YouTube channel. Claiming to be Turquoise at your age, is not impossible but a big stretch, and reading your posts don't convince me to think otherwise. Maybe we need to introduce a new distinction here, Turquoise kiddies, for people who have (claimed) to woken up but still are in a lower SD development stage. To be honest, I think Leo is in part to blame for this mix up that we see now between waking up and growing up. SD strictly speaking is not about awakening or enlightenment. Although in his (pulled) Turquoise video he touches upon this, the rest of his video and comments on the forum are mixed between growing up and waking up when talking about Turquoise. So I'm not surprised about the confusion that arises with this colour.
  15. This shows a nice overview of different developmental models and how they scale to each other.
  16. So I'm a scuba diving instructor who can teach in shark and marine (coral) conversation. The importance of Coral is really underestimated, it's (literally) the building block for life in the ocean. I live in the Philippines which part of the Coral triangle, the most biodiverse marine ecosystem on the planet. 76% (605) of the world’s coral species (798) are found in the Coral Triangle, the highest coral diversity in the world. There are big threats for coral. Humans, directly or indirectly are the cause of these threats. Destructive fishing: - Local fishermen: using dynamite fishing - Fishing trawlers: using kilometres long towing nets, scraping the bottom and destroying the corals - Crown of thorns: There is a starfish species called the Crown of Thorns and it eats away Corals. In a healthy ecosystem this is not a problem but because humans fished away the natural predators, like the Parrot fish and the Titan Trigger fish the Crown of Thorns are out of control. I heard of whole section of areas eaten away (here in the Philippines, Mindanao) by out of control Crown of Thorns. The thing that we can do for now is do special dives where we kill crown of thorns starfish, by ejecting them with vinegar. If you try to pick them up they will panic and release their eggs, making the problem only worse. This is only a short term solution though. Coral bleaching: - Rising temperatures of the ocean causes the polyp that lives inside the coral structure to separate from the coral and the coral will die and turn white - Increasing acidity of the ocean, rising CO2 emissions in the atmosphere is absorbed by the sea water, CO2 will absorption will lower the PH level, and the polyp will die and so will the rest of the coral. Waste: - Plastic and microplastic ending up inside the marine life Coral reefs provide oxygen, although the number varies online, a huge amount of oxygen that we breath comes from the ocean, mind you that also include production from seaweeds and seagrass. In the last years new research have shown corals that are more resilient to temperature and acidic changes, nature is adapting in certain cases by itself and also humans are cultivating more resilient species. Although this is good news, humans are still not off the hook (pun intended 😉), we need to adapt our ways to stop destroying the ocean. Conservation of the marine ecosystem is much more then just raising awareness or planting some coral. It's: - collecting data, through reef surveys and other methods, - talking with local fishermen, showing them less destructive ways of fishing. They are not the enemy, they need to support their family, - working with local governments, setting up Marine Protected Ares (MPA's), and making sure they're enforced, - working with international governments and institutions, because the ocean does not care about human made lines on a map, and also a lot of illegal fishing is often done by trawlers from other countries. I can talk for hours about this stuff, haha I invite fellow actualizers and @Leo Gura to come and visit, to see the incredible beauty of the under water world and the closest you will get to seeing real life aliens.
  17. Bruh. MBTI's foundation is partly genetics and partly childhood. You can't determine the type of a 4 year old for example. From let's say 8 to 10 the personality will be formed. I'm not debating that talent does not exist. On the contrary it does, but your stating and how you so eloquently chose the words chads and pussy, is a dead give away you have spending to much time with pill and manosphere ideologies. I'm getting really tired of these kind of BS ideologies completely twisting and warping it to fit their own ideology. They have a word for that, it's called propaganda. Your type does not determine if you will be a "chad" or a "pussy". Look here, every type has successful people. Although you will find that some types will have more of the same kind of people. Although it's said that your personality will not change once it's formed. Researcher Dario Nardi found that under certain circumstances personality types can change. As I said, do some proper research and look beyond the social media and pill/manosphere brainwashing. You're being played by them
  18. I deleted my Facebook in 2013. Only WhatsApp, text, mail. Should be enough if people want to contact me. You really know who your friends are when you have no social media anymore. No surprise, shockingly little and that was over 10 years ago, probably now it's even worse.
  19. Welcome to the world of dark patterns. It's not social media alone, it's everywhere. The latest trick in the hyper orange playbook
  20. https://chatgpt.com/share/a30127a7-2ba6-4d2e-ba75-c9729dcda279 Don't have much time at the moment but ChatGPT does a good job of explaining. I asked these questions: 1. what can happen when my DNA information is leaked 2. Are there already real life situations where this happened? 3. Do insurance companies use this data? 4. How can criminals use my DNA data 5. How can governments misuse DNA data? Also 23andMe real life bad behaviour: https://cglife.com/blog/23andme-sold-your-genetic-data-to-gsk-personalized-medicine-ethics/
  21. Unfortunately Myheritage got hacked in 2018 https://www.twingate.com/blog/tips/myheritage-data-breach My sister did a DNA test with them now her and my (family) DNA information is out in the open. People some information is just to valuable to trust to any other company. This is patient data and should be treated as such. Take your own responsibility as well to do the proper research on privacy. It looks like Millenials/Gen Z doesn't have any concept anymore about privacy and the implications if we loose it.
  22. This is NOT how MBTI how works. Upgrade your MBTI sources, no TikTok, Facebook, social media are not proper resources for this. Also clean yourself from all the (insert colour) pill and manosphere ideologies.
  23. Be really careful with handing over your DNA data to a company. Especially 23andme is a company that will actively sell your data to other companies. You can't remove your personal data anymore once you have done the test. Even if the EULA you will agree to at that time will protect your data, there is no guarantee that the company will be bought or mergered in the future, and gone is the control and promises of your personal data. Remember this is your (and your families) body blueprint. Every potential decease and weakness will be handed over to them. In the US there are already instances of insurance companies buying DNA data from these companies and you can't get a health insurance if you red flag for certain markers. Also your family will be influenced by YOUR DNA data you give to these companies. The EU the last 1 1/2 years is a really good job in protecting the digital rights and privacies of the citizens, these rules are there for a reason. To protect your data. If an company in the EU is not allowed because of these rules, most of the time it's for a good reason. Also see my reply in topic V
