  1. I honestly don’t know if I’m advanced or not. One person can claim I’m advanced; another can claim I’m deluded. The point I’m trying to communicate is that the deeper you understand Yourself, you’ll start to appreciate even the states that you used to label as “wrong” or “bad”. The way you interact with Reality/Yourself starts to change dramatically, yet You remain constant. Also consider that when you stop trying to manipulate Reality, shit literally starts to become beautiful automatically. (when I say manipulate, what I mean is a need to change your current experience as an escape, rather than to be curious about it and to explore)
  2. Ego and bias are imagined. Furthermore, an “Absolute state” sounds like it would actually include ego and bias since it’s “Absolute”.
  3. I’ve seen dozens of therapists in my lifetime. Never give up!
  4. You needing insights to only lead to ever grander planes of exploration seems pretty egoic to me.
  5. You reading these words on the screen. How the hell is anything possible?!
  6. Are you implying that God is a state of consciousness?
  7. So basically all of that is necessary in proper balance. I’m starting to realize that even self-deception (or really anything we label “bad”) is a powerful teacher if one is open to learning how it works instead of downright demonizing and avoiding it.
  8. At a certain point you stop caring about what level you’re at. Let me see… my chair is at level 0, and I’m at level 5.5? Who cares!
  9. I may still be thinking, but to be fair you also didn’t answer my questions.
  10. Thinking about what my mind is - is imagined in the Mind. Thinking about what is not my mind - is imagined in the Mind. There are infinite answers to your question. Maybe others can explain it better.
  11. I suspect that it actually doesn’t matter if you are the ego or not. Even if you believed you were the ego, does it really help if you change your belief from “I am not the ego” to “I am God”? Furthermore, what is there to let go of and why does it matter whether or not someone fools God? Seems like a paradox for someone to be scoring enlightenments points… you would think they would want to stay at 0
  12. @Moksha I really resonated with that, as my therapist provides guidance on that
  13. I have OCD as well. Seeing a therapist sounds like the best thing for you right now (as I still do). Specifically, find a therapist who specializes in ERP (exposure response prevention) therapy. That’s the gold standard treatment for OCD. It may be expensive if your insurance doesn’t cover it, but getting the best treatment for your specific condition will pay off in the long-term. It’s shown that doing traditional talk therapy typically isn’t effective for treating OCD, hence why I specifically recommend ERP therapy. Trust me, 10+ years have pissed away since I wasn’t getting the proper help. I wish for you to get it as soon as possible so you don’t follow in my footsteps.
  14. Apparently the ego is imaginary. If that’s the case, then how do I remove myself?
  15. @M A J I What I meant is that it’s not true that Oneness can only have experiences through separation. Consider the possibility of being so conscious that you can have experiences while being separate and Omniscient simultaneously.
  16. From a certain point of view, of course it can be that way. Our minds work all work differently, and that’s the beauty of Reality. I recommend that we don’t dismiss these AI tools that clearly disrupt old paradigms and ways of learning. Instead, I invite you to be open-minded to how these AI tools, used responsibly, can help accelerate our collective understanding. Remember way back when Leo introduced psychedelics and he was getting a lot of shit for it? Boy, have we come a long way. I like connecting AI with psychedelics, because they have several things in common. One of them being that they can both be abused, but used in the right context can significantly help you overcome limitations.
  17. Ah ok, thank you for clarifying. Yes, even several trips won’t cut it. Let me elaborate… I get what you mean. I myself have experienced delirious states in the early stages of using psychedelics that have freaked me out completely. My “base state”, which includes mental health conditions, also started to deteriorate significantly. However, these intense experiences and suffering ultimately lead me to realize that I have no choice but to open my mind to such radical degrees to overcome even those fears! The deeper you go into this work, you’ll start to discover that a delirious state is not the only state you can experience on psychedelics. If anything, that state is important to put you to the real test; to see how much you are willing to go through to understand Reality. From my experience, in order to really mature in this work, there has to be an innate and radical curiosity to appreciate Reality at ever deeper levels - yes, even the desire to understand the shittiest aspects. This means not only caring about Awakening, but also taking care of your human needs and desires. The pattern or problem I’ve been seeing from some forum members is that they’ve accessed some radically peaceful states, then they mistakenly identify that state as Reality. No! That’s not what Reality fundamentally is. Don’t just believe me, though. Only through direct experience can this understanding become real for you. This work is extremely tricky and opens up the floodgates of self-deception; this is why so few people are interested in understanding Reality, and instead would rather masquerade behind a false sense of security. ”Taking the safe route may shield you from risk, but it is often in the embrace of uncertainty where our truest selves emerge and flourish." - GPT-4 (I’m surprised GPT-4 can come up with its own original quotes!)
  18. This absolute state you are speaking about is not the ultimate reality. Remember, everything is imagined by Mind/there is nothing but Mind. You even agreed with me in another forum topic regarding Mind. How could it be, then, that a particular state is Absolute?
  19. I’m surprised Barnes & Noble is still a thing
  20. I’d also invite you to contemplate the Chinese Room thought experiment, explained by GPT-4:
  21. Whether or not any statement is true or false will all come down to you. I understand that you are finding all of these paradoxes confusing. However, the root problem lies in that you’re delegating pure understanding to another power other than yourself. I’ve been there. I’ve spent decades doing that. It simply doesn’t work in the long term. This is why mystical experiences are so important in this work, if you’re up to that challenge. All this logical analysis, fact checking, and reassurance seeking can only get you so far. — Also, consider this thought experiment: If I believe that pink zebras with unicorn horns exist, and you don’t, who is being more truthful?
