@Frenk Lmao, that happened to me last night. More realistic than any movie, video game, or virtual or augmented reality you could possibly imagine.

Apple demonstrated being able to use the headset as a Mac Virtual Display. It connects to your Mac wirelessly, allowing you to expand and shrink your Mac display. I wonder if this feature will work while playing macOS games. Not to mention the measly 2 hour battery life. It’s fine for now since it can be used all-day plugged in, but more apps will come out that will encourage you to be untethered and walk around the real world environment (lol). For example, I’m imagining apps that help people while cooking or doing DIY home repairs. Furthermore, 2 hour battery life won’t fly when these headsets become a standard in school and office environments. Finally, Apple showed people using the headset while on a plane as well as just casually hanging out with family members. No way can you watch a full movie on a plane without being plugged in, and no way do I want to have to constantly plug myself into a wall outlet while I’m hanging out with real humans.

Microsoft sells their HoloLens 2 for $3500, so it’s competitively priced with that. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/hololens/hardware I’d like Apple to come out with a cheaper version of their Vision Pro, but that’ll probably take a few years to come out. Price it around $1000 like the Meta Quest Pro https://www.meta.com/quest/quest-pro/ —- I also wonder if government will have to step in and create regulations around these headsets. I mean it’s common sense not to be walking in a Manhattan street with these headsets on, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one person decides to do it and dies from being hit by a car.
