My relationship with my parents used to be much more toxic than it is now. Taking distance from them temporarily was essential for healing for both parties.

I think the point is that when you awaken deep enough, you realize that everything is imaginary.. including you, psychedelics, contemplation, meditation, etc. etc. And that there is nobody in control here.
