I am currently reading a book on Parenting and in a chapter about vinculation styles " Secure,Anxious,unsecure.. the author Philippa Perry quotes what Psicologists call "Object Permanece" So, just imagine, that there is a development point or stage that you become able to imagine your mother exists in another room, so as a baby you dont feel fearfull or Alone. Contemplate about that. That capacity is important to the survival of self. Imagine that a baby never develop that and everytime mother is not there the baby grow always keeping the sensation that he is alone.
