  1. Metaphorically speaking: Could God create a rock so heavy, that God could not lift it? Yes! Freewill. If God lifted freewill from creation, then it wouldn't be free anymore.
  2. As a Captain Steers his Ship... He controls the Rudder... but the Ocean is not tamable. Some men/women are passengers on the boat, carried to distant lands by the will of the Captain and mercy of the Sea, but they chose to board the ship due to their desired destination(s) Who knows when we will arrive but the winds and the waters? Humanity knows so little, I don't think many can answer the question honestly and give a just explanation, it's really so complex and ever more simple than we think. Perhaps our fates are in the hands of the Gods?
  3. "The holiday's roots are in the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, a fertility celebration commemorated annually on February 15. Pope Gelasius I recast this pagan festival as a Christian feast day circa 496, declaring February 14 to be St. Valentine's Day." "In Roman mythology, Lupercus is a god sometimes identified with the Roman god Faunus, who is the Roman equivalent of the Greek god Pan. Lupercus is the god of shepherds. His festival, celebrated on the anniversary of the founding of his temple on February 15, was called the Lupercalia. His priests wore goatskins."
  4. Assuming there *is* a Self with a capital S... ..."You" are always this Self. I see self inquiry as a way to uncover what's always already there. Self inquiry isn't meant to be a conceptual endeavor though. I've always understood it as an experiential form of meditation.
  5. Your hand is part of you. You will still be you if you were to chop it off. But why do this? Instead learn how to properly use it. Your ego is part of you... ...don't get rid of it. Instead learn how to properly use it.
  6. @Echoes I think you are on to something!
  7. That sounds like a Meditation induced mind fuck. I've had similar experiences. Meditation has been shown in studies to break down the brain's natural barriers of "Self & Other"... of "Within & Without" etc etc You may want to check out this Ted talk:
  8. BTW the Third Eye could be the pituitary gland, which is just behind the eyes, within the sphenoid bone. While the Pineal Gland is nearer to the back of the head than it is the forehead, and higher up, just above the cerebellum and behind the thalamus. Now there is also the "Eye of Ra/Horus" aspect of the cross section of the Brain, corresponding to the thalamus region and surrounding Reptilian Complex aspects of the Brain. So it really all depends on who you are talking to as to what part of the brain the "Third Eye" signifies.
  9. I don't think the pineal gland decalcifies so quickly. The body does recognize what's good for it and what's not good for it, though. Trust your feelings, get off fluoridated water, etc
