@ttm for sure! I'm aware of a couple of self healings through faith and/or visualization techniques. To quote one of the most enlightenedindividuals I've ever met: "It's all so simple " -
@Gabrielle your post was very enjoyable to read and genuine! Big kudos to for your success and taking the time to help another member.

While not a bath person, like you I love to swim etc. If you are going to use a bath for this don't make it as cold as a shower. The benefits are not as good however. As I understand this is mainly to do with the lack of activity. If you take an icy swim you're moving. At any rate the time involved is another issue, cold showers are short and so are icy swims. Be safe ok, I say enjoy your bath the way you like then after spend 2-3 min in a cold shower. -
@Brian Greendahl Wow we're close! Nice to meet you.

The reason it's important to not be a placebo is so it will work on those who don't believe. In a post above someone said if give a non-alcoholic beer to person they might still get drunk but if give alcohol to a person that somehow believes it's plain water they still get drunk. So again the reason it's important is because IT needs to work. If I were selling cure pills that were just plain biscuits even if the placebo effect worked I would be lying knowing there is nothing in them. And if the mind can heal it's self with just belief than that is a skill to develop in it's own right. -
This will be my last post in this thread because I don't wish to argue. I hope you will all keep in mind that along with not really being able to regulate things like cholesterol the body also does not produce cholesterol like it also doesn't produce vitamin C. This means that you must ingest it. And if you doubt that we need cholesterol, look into what your brain is made out of and what role cholesterol plays in brain function. I also don't wish to discouraged anyone from a path they feel is best for them. Best wishes to all ☺

We are not pure carnivores. Nor did I say we are. We are omnivorous and have been for centuries.
-
From Scientific America: There is no doubt that human evolution has been linked to meat in many fundamental ways. Our digestive tract is not one of obligatory herbivores; our enzymes evolved to digest meat whose consumption aided higher encephalization and better physical growth.
-
This is why we practice to still the mind. To be your true self, the part of you that is wholly you- for it is from this we unlock the truth.
-
The fact that the human body is made to digest meat should hopefully lend a clue ?. This is always a subject about good choices, for example if you eat vegetables raised with pesticides and artificial fertilizer you will likely have negative health issues no matter what type of diet you're following. So make good choices and listen to what your body wants.

I read before I began doing this that being cold, at least for the short duration of a shower, does not make you sick and in fact this type of program will boost the immune system. Now I am not a doctor sooo... Anyways it's definitely more difficult in the winter because the water itself is much colder (I have a well) but you will adjust and for what it's worth I've not been sick in over 6 years. -
Yep an amazing book. I read it when it first came out. Still a favorite. Definitely recommend ?

Funny, you know, how these things work. James Bond did it. But for me it just sort of started out accidentally then just became the norm. 2 years now I've been in the cold and I don't see it changing any time soon. Sometimes I take a regular shower but sweat like crazy after. I've not had any mind blowing life awakening moments from it but no problems either. I am also very green or ecologically minded and California has had a water crisis the past couple of years. Believe me, you don't need a 20 minute shower and the cold water will prove it. Good for you anyone giving this a try. If you succeed at nothing else you will conserve water and that is good for everyone. ☺ -
Recently since signing up here at actualized.org my utube has been prompting me to videos about water and the effects certain sounds, frequencies and even thoughts have on the crystalline structure of the water molecules. These effects are being viewed under a microscope after the being flash frozen. I am curious what some of you know about this. How to create these effects, what do these effects have on us, and how to benefit from them. Thank you in advance ☺

Hi everyone, I came across an interesting concept ; A true mirror. It reflects an inverted image of who or what ever is in front of it allowing us to see ourselves as we are seen by others. I won't post the benefits of this because others have already done lots of great work with this. If you Google search it you will see if you are so inclined to do so. Also, since I just learned about this myself I don't have anything personal to add. Hope this can help someone. ?

This is one the videos my YouTube account recommended after I started looking at actualized.org. Seems like good content. Thank you Ludwig

This doesn't sound like erasing, more like masking? And I'm not sure either is really good. Sorry! We have experiences, good or bad, and learn from them. Maybe, I think, it's better to learn to cope with trauma, and if this technique is a person's best way to do so then ok. But care should be taken with anything this emotionally charged.

Thank you for sharing ? I just want to be clear I don't think just because a person charges a fee that they are dishonest. And I fully agree that people often need to make an exchange of some form to either feel worthy of receiving or to respect it. It is a concern that people are taking advantage of others, like a false fortune teller, because it's difficult for the average person to determine if something real is happening or if it's a placebo or just nothing at all. As I stated in my op I believe in this, that we are gifted with the ability to heal. I would love nothing if Reiki was the key to unlock this for me. And though I might not charge $ I would not appose a barter and feel the need to volunteer in one form or another my time in this way. Thank you again! -

@johnde an amazing experience. Be thankful! I wish I could tell what was going on or how to duplicate it. You might try reading some of Mantak Chia's books, In particularly, "awaken healing energy through the tao". Thank you for sharing this. -
Hi Sarah, great to hear from a neighbor.

@The Alchemist Thank you for sharing your experiences. That sounds great. Have you had a chance to practice some of the techniques on anyone yet? -
