  1. Similar thing in the Quran: After Musa came to Us according to his appointment, and his Lord spoke to him, he said: “My Lord, let me see You.” Allah said, “You will not be able to see Me, but look towards the mountain; if it stays in its place, then you will be able to see Me.” When His Lord appeared in His glory on the mountain, it crumbled, and Musa fell unconscious as though struck by lightning. When Musa regained consciousness, he said, “Glory be to You! I seek Your repentance, and I am the first believer.
  2. Yup. We can end all other (in a sensory deprivation tank for example) but breathing will always keep you tied.
  3. Also no matter how infinite you get as a human, you’re always limited by the need to breathe.
  4. That's quite a change. Why are you making that change if you don’t mind sharing?
  5. @YimpaBut sometimes losing is the right way ahead. Sometimes you have to give up what you are to become a better person. That's the whole concept of sacrifice. And sacrifice is much more difficult than getting complacent and not sacrificing. But I digress. Regarding unrealistic expectations, they are almost always there in the corporate world. Your employers always have certain expectations (which can be unrealistic). But what is to be done about them? In their eyes, you’ll either be a success or a failure. And often quitting is not an option, so you are only left with the option to ensure success.
  6. @Yimpa So what’s the implication here? Acceptance/Surrender?
  7. @Arthogaan Yeah, I am realizing that just meditating here and there for a while won’t cut it. What meditation technique(s) do you often find the most effective, and use most frequently? @TheSelf 100%. It's overwhelming to balance the two. And the worst part is when the balance is more toward the physical realm you stop caring for truth ans all the tecniques start sound like bullshit. @Ishanga I try to practice that present-moment meditation, and I usually reach a pretty stable inner state in the moment I practice is. The problem I am having is carrying it over throughout the day (or at least most parts of the day). Can you share a video/link for Isha Kriya you mentioned?
  8. @Soul Flight Yes I have to admit, it is not the best job for me. But it’s an important part of my journey as I make my way to my ultimate destination of doing what I love most. So, I have to stick to it for at least an year. @Princess Arabia we can’t grasp It. But just to have a peripheral view of It is enough at times. Is that too much to ask?
  9. @Thought Art yeah that’s a decent way to conceptualise and maintain your relationship with your mind. Also, do you have any pdf source to the book you mentioned?
  10. @Thought Art That’s a great metaphor. Your consciousness or spiritual connection as a blade or katana that you keep sharpening and care for. Thanks for the input, I’ll try the methods you outlined.
  11. @Yimpa I work 9-5, but yes the nature of work is such that I find myself thinking about problems I am facing at work and how can I overcome them. This produces stress and to relieve the stress I try to socialise with friends via call or playing video game together. So in that sense I am working even when I am not working which I would tag as overworking. We have a 40 minute break at work, which gives me some time to sit with myself. But again I have found that I tend to think about work related problems during the break and how to solve them (being a manager comes with plenty of em).
  12. Did you experience any ego backlash after? For instance wanting to distract yourself from the insights and “be human”.
  13. As we all know, Leo’s style of teaching is relatively direct and aggressive. He doesn’t beat around the bush and won’t hesitate to hurt your feelings. And sometimes, he goes way overboard and expresses a degree of aggression that is controversial and even disturbing for some. But I think it is a genius way to integrate one’s shadow (particularly the aggression part). As he mentioned in one of his videos, he dealt with people-pleasing in the early days, which might have lead to the aggressive parts sinking in the shadows. Now, most people’s shadow crawls out in the most destructive ways, but Leo focuses it around his work, where it can be of benefit to others. I think this is straight-up brilliant! Not a lot of people can actually pull off something like this. P.s: I am not saying he always has complete control over his shadow, but at least it comes out in a generally positive way, where it has the potential for benefit. P.P.S. All of this can be seen from a negative lens that he has anger issues or that his “style” is just an excuse for accumulating power; But IMO this is just a negative view of something inspiring.
  14. Talking about torrents etc. And if you still do it, why?
  15. @Bobby_2021 so, you are being opportunistic. That’s literally the opposite of integrity
  16. @Hojo It’s not about moralism, it’s about values and integrity. At least that’s what I am talking about.
  17. @Ramanujan But there is something wrong piracy. You are literally stealing someone’s money. If there are no consequences to your stealing and everyone does it, doesn’t make it any better. You are being selfish and unholistic. If it was your daughter’s product and everyone started pirating it, would that upset you at all? Her not getting what she deserves?
  18. It’s an Apple Original and a total mind fuck. Amazing show.
  19. @Ramanujan Doesn’t that affect your integrity?
  20. Read this in a book called The problem of the Puer Aeternus. “The two typical disturbances of a man who has an outstanding mother complex are, as Jung points out, homosexuality and Don Juanism (non-clinical term for the desire, in a man, to have sex with many different female partners). In the case of the former, the heterosexual libido is still tied up with the mother, who is really the only beloved object, with the result that sex cannot be experienced with another woman. That would make her a rival of the mother, and therefore sexual needs are satisfied only with a member of the same sex. Generally such men lack masculinity and seek that in the partner.”
  21. @Davino That hits hard, ngl. But the problem with muddying the lines between words (or merging distinctions) is that we can’t then use words to communicate. So, for the sake of having a conversation I would suggest not doing that.
  22. @cetus Thank you! And yes, it always meets you halfway when you are serious.
  23. @Davino It is impossible to know God. God cannot be known. One can only be God. The hand cannot grasp itself, similarly the mind cannot grasp itself, because the Mind is infinite. And you as a finite human can’t grasp something infinite. You have to be infinite to grasp infinity, and if you succeed in doing that, you become God. So only God can grasp itself.
  24. I have had an almost exact experience without the dmt. And I used mild anxiety on bad days, nothing other than that. I smoked some hasish (not too much), and went into deep meditation where I focused intensely on my breath. It is also worth mentioning that I had spent 8 months prior to that experience building my concentration and mindfulness with mindfulness meditation and other techniques.
  25. @lostingenosmaze Nobody held back there lmao.
