I didn't even know this and I live in Australia never get in the water with skippy. While kangaroos do not typically premeditate killing humans, they have a strong instinct to flee into deep water when threatened, where they can use their immense strength to hold dogs, and potentially humans, underwater. It is a defensive, not predatory, behavior often used against predators like dingoes, especially when cornered.
