@charlie2dogs that looking at crimes and saying we should just punish the attacker as they're wrong is something related to moralising and we need to consider moralising as part of it when we simply punish criminals and engage our talk of how evil they are, we're demonising and not accepting reality, and demonising comes from moralising It's important to consider for anyone wishing to remove their victimisation and hence their suffering
-
@charlie2dogs ok I'm not going to attempt to persuade you, ultimately both our thinking and reasons are valid
-
@charlie2dogs the victim will continue to suffer for as long as they are stuck with their moralising, telling themself "that shouldn't be" but it did and until they can learn to accept what happened they can never release themselves and move on from it, as difficult and painful as the process can be one of my lecturers involved in psychological trauma mentioned how people who had a family member murdered didn't feel better when they witnessed the murderer receive punishment, death, they just felt worse, because they're functioning from the same place as the murderer, it takes a different kind of thinking to release hatred and judgment for your own sanity

Does it matter if you're stage blue or orange or green, can people in each of these equally reach enlightenment? or does the type of mindset that happens at each stage influence your ability what about the stages where you have egoic focus vs other focus, where maybe in the other focus stages you're more able does it happen the other way around where the process of enlightenment work and mindfulness leads you to start moving through the stages and only when you're predominantly at a certain stage such as green or yellow do you become closer to the probability of enlightenment occurring? I just watched @Quizzer video on a woman becoming enlightened and she seemed like a green hippie person so I started wondering if that influenced your likelihood and the type of people who become enlightened might be around those stages

@Anton Rogachevski yes when one person is dependant it can be unhealthy, they will need you to fulfil something for them, in this case she's satisfying her insecurity of feeling important because she can't see her own worth in her, she'll find it difficult to be independent. If you told her you don't need her it would be hard in her because dependent people rely on others opinions of them a lot more. love is something you build not possess and by simply saying she needs you she's putting all the responsibility for love on you, she now relies on you for it, meaning she'll be less proactive in cultivating the love as she may see everything to do with it as just part of circumstance e.g. being with the wrong or right guy which you can see is quite dysfunctional interdependence is ideally where people want to be where they are happy in themselves but see the importance of joining forces to be stronger and to encourage growth for all involved

@charlie2dogs the criminal has autonomy to act and is responsible but that exists within his level of thinking and development which is a natural part of human reality, he's working by his own will but within a framework of thinking for which he is unconscious about how to transcend, so we can't start moralising against him just because we're working at a higher level maybe

@Mal just got round to the videos, very interesting! So would you say enlightenment is to do with the ego line and its development though the levels, and now I can see with the model how it's independent of Clare graves but that due to the pre-trans fallacy, depending on the level of development of the ego depends on the nature of the realisation and only when it's in post stage it can integrate from all previous stages? Also is pre, rational, and transcendence dividing up the levels into three categories?- 21 replies

@abrakamowse I guess it's like death in the sense that once you're there, you care not to go back
-
@JevinR I defo think you should find some books to do with reprogramming the subconscious and that work to make you enter more positive states, you started your post with how worried and fearful you feel, I think that in itself is probably causing you more of the stress than actually achieving your goal! Once you let go of that tension you'll be better positioned to take more effective action, good luck
-
@charlie2dogs I was thinking this too, there are no shoulds in life and all purpose is created, contributing to society is an inauthentic action to take if it doesn't align with your state of consciousness

Saarah replied to Tancrede Pouyat's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Tancrede Pouyat I'm not sure they seem pretty similar, I feel like mindfulness is a tool and process that can be used to achieve better awareness, where mindfulness is the action and awareness is the 'aha' moment when you really see something in its essence -

@Leo Gura I just realised it makes more sense now when you said religious prophets were enlightened, even so they were still functioning from a place of law and order so they created a system i.e. religion in accordance with that- 21 replies

@Salaam that's really cool, I like how it acts like a funnel to simplify everything down and that it's flexible, and it's something you could write on a paper and fit in your pocket, I just wish I understood what it all meant $|#/.. You know what I'm saying? @Leo Gura that'd be a really helpful product, maybe for now you could shoot one of those long forgotten quick 10min self-help segments to give us a basic gist or idea

@Progress first a pineapple @Zephyr and then a banana fruit invasion! With regards to this personal development identity I feel like starting a movement could be counterproductive because it might end up turning exactly how religions turned out where people just become over defensive of their identity and group, in accordance with spiral dynamics I feel like the world will reach a place like that at its own pace, and forcing people doesn't help as everyone transitions at their own pace, I feel like at the time that does happen, actualised.org will be like a time capsule vault where people uncover all these posts and look at us growing at this stage of society, pretty cool! Anyway it seems more lighthearted and humorous so keep going, it could be a nice way to get regular people who normally don't care about this stuff into personal development!

@ChimpBrain definitely! I've got certain specific goals for this year and they're only on one area but then I feel like implementing more like visualisation, affirmations but I know im getting off track

@Electron I mentioned in another post that I came across a quote about this how desperation often breeds more drive for success than inspiration, for me this has really rung true at the same time I do like that you say we need both, if we just had desperation without inspiration we'd probably approach things in an unhealthy manner, where you may be more neurotic in your approach to achieving something, definitely a balance will do a world of good!
-
@stuck af I think you need to come up with a compelling goal, start thinking about what more you want for your life, since you're into daydreaming use it to imagine the kind of life you want and start identifying what it would take to move towards that I used to be like you, wasting time with nothing meaningful associated with my time, it's because i wasn't desperate enough for anything, i had nothing to work towards, but now that i'm in uni, the real world is daunting ever closer, i've learnt how i have to take responsibility for everything, and it means i've had to start building my own life now instead of sitting in what has always just existed in front of me That's why a goal is really important, i didn't like the idea of goals before, they felt very stuck and it was just because i was never envisioning anything for myself, i thought i'd get by, i still have that attitude of balance though where i enjoy where i am now but at the same time i use a compelling vision to ensure that i'm being proactive in my life vs reactive. It has made all the difference Another thing i heard somewhere is desperation often breeds drive for success more than inspiration, so try to cultivate that desperation to want more for your life In my last year of high school i remember it was super intense, after a bad year with exams it hit me hard, so the next year i worked so hard because i really wanted to make sure i didn't repeat my mistakes, i would come home and work for hours and the funny thing is i actually enjoyed those times of intense learning at my desk, i had no life but i got so immersed in the process i was just having fun being creative, making notes, learning fun stuff, a big part was that the topics i was doing just resonated with me. Another thing is i never could read books, i found it difficult to concentrate for long, but ever since i started buying books on topics that resonate much more it's become much more fun that it even replaces all my distraction activities. So the message here is to really find a way to enjoy the process and do what resonates with you. You can't get rid of all those distractions until you have a more compelling alternative, so make your alternatives compelling.

Saarah replied to Saarah's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mal I see, could you give me an example of what it would look like if an enlightened person was to express something with blue tinted cognition? I'll get around to checking your videos tomorrow, thanks! @Falk That last part helped me understand the distinction a bit more with not confusing experiences with knowledge! Actually it's like when you see the same thing in two completely different ways depending on the state of mind or knowledge you're at- 21 replies

Saarah replied to Saarah's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mal thanks, I see what you mean, I can't really grasp how an enlightened person would still be functioning from below tier 2, it seems incompatible but I don't have a very deep understanding of enlightenment so I can't really say what would be compatible @Piotr I'll have to check it out, in my mind I think enlightenment will help banish all of our illusory belief web because we become more in touch with what is and reality so it's interesting to see it could be otherwise! @Leo Gura I'm still confused as to how it would be used dogmatically because I feel like enlightenment would be a way out of dogma, i don't seem to understand enlightenment very well, but definitely I'd want to be tier 2 and enlightened than otherwise, thanks! @99th_monkey it's LAWLS (laughing at what Leo said) ?- 21 replies

@Greatnestwithin I'm new to it all, but the gist of it is to firstly create a bunch of content which has high value and is all free, this means blog posts, podcasts, YouTube, having social media all linked to that content. the content builds trust with your potential customers as they feel they've received a lot of value from you after you've built this up you can then start selling a product relating to the very specific niche you've chosen (make sure it isn't so broad) this could be products but my fave one is to offer an information product where you can create a video course teaching certain information, an example is Leo's life purpose course, courses are more difficult to replicate by potential competition and there can be copyright issues so great for you. You can also charge a little more for them than certain products, it is recommended to be between 50-200$. Information products can be created by just reading the top books in that niche and creating it into a product. You can even outsource work such as writing blog posts and creating videos but that'd require extra money, but if you start making money you could invest it back into outsourcing to free up your time It is important to build an email list with the visitors to your blog for example as you can directly see who is your customer base and directly market to them, email newsletters should be a mixture of offering value (free content) and marketing your product (can't be too pushy with it) and you can even do affiliate marketing to earn some extra cash on the side if you have a good platform and that's another rabbit hole to get into. To entice people to an email list you often need something to give away so they'll enter their email address otherwise they won't really care for joining and won't care about simply being updated about your site. This is the basic gist of creating a passive income stream online, it can take time to build up your site and gain an audience, it also requires some extra knowledge like SEO theres a lot more to it so id recommend you start reading about this stuff, once you've built something like this and it becomes successful, you can outsource and scale up your business, this means you get bigger profits and you free up more of your time, even though it can take time it's better to work a regular job for a few years while doing this and then leave than have to spend your entire life paycheck to paycheck I hope that shed some light
