  1. To change is to become different in some way. The product of change is the past. It is impossible to talk about how things are changing without referring to the way things were (the past). For example if you say reality is changing then you are conceding that things were different than the way they are now which requires a past. Do you find a fault in my proposal? Does anyone deny change?
  2. More past is being made now. The question is how big is the past. What is your perspective on change? Is there change in your view?
  3. What criteria must be met in your mind in order for you to claim that something exists or doesn’t exist? Or what is the fundamental difference in your mind between existing and not existing?
  4. If you think there is change why do you think so? What is your justification? What changes?
  5. Perhaps nothing changes. Is there any way to confirm change without referring to your memory?
  6. It is self-evident that I am conscious of what I'm conscious of. How do I prove that no one else is conscious of what I am conscious of?
  7. @Leo Gura Only I am myself. Why do you think I don't understand this? Other beings (if there are any) are not me. They would be themselves. There may not be another being besides me but I can't prove that. Can you?
  8. @Leo Gura I understand that no one is me besides me. However, in my mind there could be another being that is aware of what I'm aware of. And I am unable to disprove the existence of that hypothetical being.
  9. A good deal of people claim that this is a dream. What evidence do you have to support this claim and why do you make this claim?
  10. I can't prove or disprove your existence so I must simply say I don't know. Why do you think I am inside of your experience?
  11. This is false. Assuming you have an experience I am not inside of your experience. I have my own life. My life does not depend on your dream.
  12. Since you claim to be dreaming right now what is beyond your dream? In other words when your dream ends what will you wake up to?
  13. Can you wake up from your dream? If not then is it really a dream?
  14. Why do you claim that the one who is reading this message is the only conscious being? What evidence do you have to support that claim? I don't know if dream characters have their own experience.
  15. But I don't understand why you call it a dream if my experience is based on something real?
  16. In this context by real I mean aware. Living beings are aware. Dream characters are unaware and imaginary (meaning they only exist in your mind). Indeed it seems to be unfalsifiable but that means it is absurd for people to call me their imagination/dream when they can neither prove or disprove their claim.
  17. First there is no proof of me being the only conscious being. A real being is aware. It sees its own body. This is what you are interacting with now. A dream character is unaware. It seems to be real but in reality it is purely imaginary. This is what you interact with in dreams.
  18. The potential difference is critical: Interacting with real beings vs dream characters.
  19. What evidence do you have that I am the only conscious being? And even if I am then I would call this my creation as opposed to my dream.
  20. Is this possible in your view? Why or why not?
  21. In other words must every cause have a cause or can there be an uncaused cause?
  22. We say that things "exist" or "are" I can't determine what is being conveyed by that claim quite frankly. Any ideas? In other words what does the word "exist" really mean?
