That's why we vote on things and majority rules. If the people want to allow transgenders in sports I am ok with it (eventhough I think it's silly). -

Let people do what they want! but I think trans is a very different path from enlightenment. Enlightenment is realizing you aren't the body. Trans is playing dress up as another gender when gender is a social construction. I think trans people are lost. Just as I think religious people are lost. And most of society is lost. -

Everything is perfect/consciousness -

I think you are mostly right. But let me ask you. So you admit blissful emptiness is an experience. I think you would also admit that there is only consciousness and consciousness is one. So is the experience of blissful emptiness any different from any other experience? If all there is is consciousness then all experiences are equal. (But not equally blissful perhaps). -

.....And Brahman is consciousness? -

What if blissful emptiness is the buzz word and the spiritual construction? It seems like a reality filled with stuff is what is happening and blissful emptiness is a constructed fantasy by Buddhists and meditators? -

@Danioover9000 nice poem @PurpleTree that's a really interesting topic you brought up. Kinda like how magic mushrooms helped our evolution too ? -
itsadistraction replied to VictorB02's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
@VictorB02 where is the boundary between being persecuted for an crime vs for being persecuted for political gain. In reality there is no such boundary and law and authority figures are figments of people's minds. So if enough people decide there's evidence to convict Trump and succeed, you will have to accept that as the "truth". Similarly if Trump wins, then liberals should be wise to accept that America wants Trump as a current leader. -
Yes evolution may have driven women to be attracted to men who work. Also women are shaped by men's sexual choices in the past. So maybe our ancestors picked women who got angry at us for not working. Also consider that there are as many different types of women as there are men. There are lazy slobs who don't give a shit if you work or not. There are cool hippy surfer chicks who just want to have a good time and also don't care how much money you make.

The advice in the video is good, doesn't matter if it differs from Leo slightly (which is doesn't). You need to find your own style anyway. I think the video nails the problem most people face perfectly. And all in 5 min.

Interesting 5 minute video on why people have trouble talking with others and how to fix it with a simple 100 day challenge. https://youtu.be/lvgM39UgHbA?si=SJF15LNCGwuQDNw_

I had a realization that seems so obvious now. It is the realization that dreamless sleeping is exactly like a death experience. You have 8 hours without time, space, problems or ego. Its pretty blissful. Leo says that your life is the same as the dreams you have at night. This actually helps make the case that "sleeping" is your natural state and the same as death. What do you think? -

What is the implications or lessons of reaching states of consciousness like this? How is it different to your life if you dreamed you are a wolf at night? What's happening when Leo reaches wolf consciousness and can it be done sober? -

If life is a dream is it just as meaningless as one? Doesn't matter how it goes it's just a dream. This is actually an uplifting idea rather than a depressing one. Even thought it doesn't matter, What do you think? -

Yes it's obvious the GOP is insane but why did all the Democrats vote in favor of ousting McCarthy? -

@Inliytened1 so are you saying I don't remember what happened during the 8 hours of sleep but stuff was happening or that the 8 hours of sleep didn't actually happen that is just an illusion in the eternal now? -

@mr_engineer Think about how many misogynists are out there and have been throughout history. There's probably been more hate shown towards women by men than to men by women. Think about how much men hate each other? Right now Putin hates Zelensky. Dems hate MAGAs. Wars, murders, crime is all men hating on other men.

That's a lie, you aren't having an experience because there is no you. Neither is @Razard86. -
That's an interesting motivation to do something. I'm not an activist but I think it's conservatives/right wingers who are genuinely flawed. Human nature and nature of reality is in constant change. Leftist/progressives embrace this change (by definition) while rightwing/conservatives resist it?

@ZenSwift yes same here, the forum is a great tool with amazing people and insights. I interact with alot of average people and I can confidently say the people and topics on this forum are much more advanced than the general population conceives of. It's funny to me when someone criticizes the forum as if they were forced to participate.

@CoolDreamThanks and yet you are here, interesting ? Do you not see the contradiction in your actions and just by posting on here proves you don't just need to "sit in silence?" You can't help but try to "save" us from the bad man Leo. -

If death is the best thing to ever happen to you then God didn't help him any! -
Get over your attachment to being a male. Everything evolves. If the universe decides that men will evolve breasts and will be the ones who get pregnant you have to be ok with that. Who cares? You aren't the body! remember?
