As of now I don't really have many obligations since im not far into my life purpose. I'm already taking a gap year before going to university. Maybe I should take this year of my life to unaddict myself from society? Or is it bad to set your life purpose aside for a year like this?

Im currently in filmschool. My main interest is making comedy films. I tend to like creating shorter films better. My dream is to after filmschool have my own youtube channel where I can post my films. Besides from just putting out great content, how do you market your youtube channel? I wanna do alot of research, if you know any resources please post them. many many thanks

Why especially if you do meditation? -
Tyler never says sweet guys get crushed. He even talks about how some of his friends are really sweet and get laid. Thing is there is a difference between being sweet and a nice gut people pleaser. Good guys have a self image of being the goodie goodie who never causes conflict, so when a girl tells them to fuck off their ego panics. They dont realize how random alot of blowouts are and they have nothing to do with you as a person. No empathy + high self respect = psycho High emapthy + high self respect = perfect. Most good guys u see are not like that on the inside. They are just afraid of expressing their personal boundary. Leos rant was more for pick up fanatics who see women as objects to fuel their ego. Ive met some of these guys and they have no humanity left in them. These guys need more empathy. But as a people pleaser you actually need more coldheartedness to balance your self out. Im still a massive people pleaser but im working on it.

So ive been doing meditation everyday for 4 months now. First 2 months I did 20 min a day and the last 2 months ive been doing 60-120 min of strong determination sitting a day. After every session I feel really good and present but it only lasts about 10 min and im back stuck in my head. Is this normal? Does lasting effects increase with practise?

I know. Im scandinavian so the government pays my school and gives me 1000$ a month for expenses so why not. #YaySocialism

I wanna do a meditation retreat this summer for 7-10 days. My family owns a small house on a tiny island so its perfect for isolation and nature. Im thinking of doing my retreat there. Are there any cons of just doing the retreat by yourself without any teachers vs like a vipassana course retreat? How important are the teachers?

I do mindfullness meditation for the most part when i to SDS. Yeah I try remind myself everyday. Actually tought of writing on my hand or wrist "ATTENTION, HERE AND NOW." to remind me all the time. Actually considered getting some reminder tattoo on my wrist lol -
Looks are pretty much irrelivant once you get confident. Even IF they mattered, there is nothing you can do about it so it is not worth thinking about it. Like RSDtyler says: Eat well, dress well, workout and shut the fuck up.

So I completed the life purpose course and I have doing the life purpose related affirmations every day for almost 90 days now. However over the 90 days there has been 4 days kinda far from each other where I forgot to do it. What do I do now? Do it all over again or?

So I have been doing 1 - 1.5 hours of strong determination sitting a day for a while now. At first 1 hour was extremely challenging and I made fast meditation gains. I then increased the challenge by sitting cross legged on a hard floor. Sitting crossed legged on a hard floor for one hour has become more or less easy. Is there anyway to increase the challenge without just increasing the time spent? like upping it up to 2 hours.

@Galahad holy fuck 500 hours!? and I tought I was hitting it hard lol I sometimes have a hard time believing in the process while doing this everyday. How do you feel different than before those 500 hours? How long did you sit at the time and in which position? If I just sit in a chair I cant experience pain, I have to sit crossed legged

- strong meditation sitting it's basically just a long session (more than 1 hour) of a meditation technique (without moving etc... of course)? like when Leo published the video on meditations on steroids he was already doing 1 hours of meditation per day... so he was already doing meditation on steroids all the time (and so I "already done" some long meditation with my daily session)? Yes, but it is way more intense than just doing a normal 1 hour meditation session. It forces your mind to going into ultra focus mode. Because if you cant keep your concentration and focus, you're done and you will move. I do it combined with mindfullness meditation + self inquiry, so when I fx am focusing on sound and pain starts to come up I have to greatly increase my focus on the sound in order not to fail and move. -straighten the spine, swallow, relaxing the jaw, recenter the attention when I'm falling asleep etc... are "acceptable" movements right? (silly question, but I want to be sure ahah) Yes all automatic bodyfunctions are acceptable. Just as long as your not moving in order to get out of pain. - there is a really big difference between a chair position and a crossed-legs position? like what are the benefits of a crossed legs position except that the pain it's bigger so you must face a bigger challenge? personally for me the only difference is the pain challenge, when i didnt do strong determination sitting i always used chairs too. @ZenDog a cool way to increase would be do a Viapassana! I will do one on the summer Yeah I applied for one here in germany, but i didnt get in I ll apply for some other ones around Europe too, and hopefully get in. -

My legs feel fine during the day. Im kinda starting to worry that ill fuck my legs up if I do this for the rest of my life 1-2 hours x) ? I have also tought of eating a really strong chilli then do the sit. Cus chilli hurts like shit and I hate it, but it wont cause harm to you, so its harmless pain, -

Lately I started doing positive affirmations. I just feel it is so silly when im doing them, it just seems so extremely simple. As of now I plan on doing my current affirmations for 90 days. But I have a hard time believing they are actually gonna make a difference. Has anyone here tried positive affirmations and actually felt a difference?
