Anton Rogachevski replied to GabeN's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@GabeN A higher state in of itself won't give you much in terms of development. It's also important to remember that it's not actually affecting truth, since truth is untouched by all the change there is. So you might work hard and reach a high state, be blissful for a couple of hours and your inner balance will equalise that with a low of the same intensity. You will feel terrible and hopeless, but if you learn to connect and be in tune with truth you will be untouched by such ups and downs, this is the stillness of god, which lies deep underneath all manifestation. Being conscious doesn't at all mean to be super high all the time, it is to be aware of things as they are, high or low, to love and accept them anyway without a shred of condition. Hope that helps, good luck on your journey fellow traveler! -

All failed except thoughts and appearances. Based merely on the first filter (direct experience). What is there but thoughts and appearances? -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nahm I fear I have now lost you completely, my friend. I think there might be a little de-synchronicity in frequency between us. Perhaps our minds work too differently to actually communicate effectively. -

It appears as if you conclude things but I don't see how you reach the conclusion. If there's no awareness or love in direct experience, why do you say they are infinite. If I can't see something does that make it infinite? Not-seeing = Infinity ? Why talk about things that you can't see? (maybe you can, i don't know) -

There's no experience, nor awareness, just a sound appears and disappears. What is "awareness of a sound"? There is neither. Please don't objectify awareness, it is confusing. Why talk about nothing? -

It is when you say it is. I didn't say it. -

My mentors are: Videos, Books, this forum is also one. It doesn't necessarily have to be in person, nor personal. Leo, Alan Watts' lectures, are my main source of inspiration. Keep researching and broadening your scope. Learn basic tools and principles: Meditation, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, contemplation, visualization, integration, open-mind, self honesty, authenticity, modesty is a big one. By building this foundation, you become your own mentor. -

This is also a thought. I just learned this from nahm! : ) Also: Relation Seperation Please add more of those sneaky thoughts! I love what we got here. -

@clouffy Very good. Anything that brings you to this works. Suffering is the light under the pot of stew that is this work. Without it you wouldn't even find this forum. It's really a sign of awakening. -

Just more thoughts. Beautiful! There's no such thing as "separation" in the first place. Another basic assumption caught! You are good at this. I'm afraid I don't get it. Is this what a thought is existentially? (I know more thoughts) Why? I don't know if I could say it. There appears to be an awareness, how do I know it's me? I don't get it, where is the sneakiness? -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
How do you know thoughts aren't awareness? Are thoughts separate from awareness? What is a thought? What is awareness? @SOUL Where's our old chimp friend Soul to come here and resolve this with his beautiful integrative thoughts? I miss you bro. -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nahm My dear friend, it may work for you because you are more advanced than me and can see it right away, but for my petty logical mind it's just not cutting it. I wish you well. -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nahm I'm sorry this question is completely meaningless to me. There are thoughts, but I can't say if I'm aware, or someone is aware, or even to assume there is awareness at all. Thoughts are just self aware. (that's already too much said) If you assume an "experiencer" who's "aware", you just put legs on a snake. ------------------------- @Nahm " If you know finite delusions, the only possibility is that you are infinite truth." -------------------- Until now I only saw finite things, how can I say I'm infinite? -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Roman25's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It's funny you should use this exact question, because I find it doesn't dig deep enough for me. (Obviously it's my personal experience.) Why? First of all, there are many basic assumptions built into sentence without noticing: 1. The assumption there's even someone here. 2. The answer to this is rigged. Because both yes and no are dualistic. 3. Even if I say yes, which is the trick, what's the noise "yes"? It's absolutely meaningless to me to say either yes or no. 4. What the heck is "awareness", how could I answer about something I have no idea of. I can only say that it appears as if I was aware. But how does that change anything? There are just appearances. (this is "closer" to truth, but I wouldn't get here unless i questioned it all to death.) So what I say is: Maybe yes, I don't know. Where's my prize? -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Jack Walter Leon's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Yes. The question "Am I aware?" Awareness is aware of itself. Just look at your experience right now, that is it. No mystical magic show. (If that's what you seek, then some dmt wouldn't hurt.) -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Lynnel's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Lynnel "How do you handle meaninglessness ?" Let go of the need to have a meaning. Why is there a need? Even if god told you it wouldn't satisfy you, because you just seek to avoid unknowing and confusion. Embrace these emotions with love and acceptance. Sit quietly and ask god to know his will and just listen, don't make mental noise and you will see it very clearly. It's also very simple and obvious. -

"Meditation is a medicine not a diet." Allan Watts It depends where you are at. If you are begining, build dosage up by little increments and see if you resist, don't push yourself unless you want an ego backlash. I started with 10 minutes, then built all the way up to 5 hours, then gradually went back to an hour. After many years I don't even measure time, I spontaneously sit 5 minutes there 30 minutes there, because at that point mindfulness and a quiet mind are just a part of a normal day, purely effortless. I take the medicine when symptoms are showing and when needed. Also I'm super lazy. I'm lucky to find many opportunities while commuting to work. -

The fish. -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Jack Walter Leon's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
It's not a mistake, it is the ultimate truth. In reality a hand can't grab itself, yet god can grab himself, and that's the source of all creation. -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Jack Walter Leon's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Any "soul" one can be aware of is the wolf in sheep's clothing. -
Anton Rogachevski replied to Aakash's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Aakash It's very important you are self-honest about it, if you see your needs and pretend to do things that aren't in line with your top values you are kidding yourself. Be selfish and go full circle to being selfless. Who is the self one is selfish about? Be selfish for the true self that you currently experience.
