Glad you overcame it. What I described with porn you can substitute with pretty much anything. Now I'm not saying addictions don't exist, but to me real addictions are chemical dependence. The type of stuff when you stop your body goes through heavy withdrawal. Unless someone has heavy biological reactions as a result of removing themselves from consumption of a particular substance then they don't really have an addiction. I've heard some people replace that word with a compulsion. I guess that word could be appropriate? Ehh who knows.

Recognize that just because you kill someone in your dreams does not mean you will walk outside and actually do this. Confirm through your past experiences that the love you want for yourself you actually want for all of life. Confirm that you even asking others if you are a bad person, is your desire to be good expressing itself. Realize that the belief that humans are bad is BULLSHIT that you have been fed your whole life and you are LIVING proof that your nature is GOODNESS otherwise the things I just mentioned wouldn't be true. But you can only prove and experience your own goodness by embracing the parts that you think are dark. The dark is what you hide, to become aware of it is to illuminate it, to put a spotlight on it, to make it known and not hidden. So the darkness becomes light through awareness. This is the Spiritual Path.

Bad people don't exist. The issue with selfishness, is just the person's consciousness is twisted and restricted so when it expresses love it expresses it in a haphazard dysfunctional way. Trump's wish for you will be half-hearted but the fact that it even exists reveals that he like the rest of humanity want humanity to THRIVE, but without actually doing anything to make this a reality. The secret in life is every human is trying their best to be good, so bad people don't actually exist.
