  1. There are so many maps and imo much better maps than this one.
  2. I don't know. Doesn't seem weird at all. Of course some people think primary in sensations/feelings and of course just thinking and mind can be felt as an energy in one's energy field. In NLP they discern different "channels" that people use or can use.
  3. What you write is not exactly true. Many psychologists and even psychiatrists know that the diagnosis is just a label for a set of symptoms. And the label is used so that they can write a bill that insurance then pays for. They know that it is not real or true. But of course, there are also many pychologists who completely believe in the labels and labeling and see people completely as objects. Also, there a different view points and models in psychology. Some of them are actually very good. For example transpersonal psychology or some of CG Jung's work. I mean, CG actually studied Ramana Maharshi's teaching and other spiritual approaches. You see that in his work.
  4. No. Ultimately yes, but it is absolutely possible to "jump" over the human existence to the Absolute and then use "who or what am I" to create that jump and not deal with the insecurity. So self-inquiry can be used as an "escape". But utimately it won't work anymore and you have to deal with your stuff and human emotions. So that's why the answer is ultimately yes.
  5. I don't see any problems here. As far as I understood, you want to study something else and move into a bigger city? Then do it. Doesn't matter if someone doesn't like it. Also, here in Germany there are lot's of good "spiritual teachers" if that is of any interest for you. It also depends where you live and what you study, so the change could actually help as well. Regarding your "emotional problems": everyone has emotional problems, some people are more anxious or introverted or "shy" or sensitive. Doesn't mean there is something wrong with you and it also doesn't mean it has to do something with you. Maybe you just feel or pick up other people's emotions and think they are yours, who knows.
  6. Well, I ask because it's important to discriminate if you are in a state of dissociation/depersonalisation (which is a compensation when the intensity is too high) or if you are in a real and authentic place of reality.
  7. That's "normal", because you don't get anything out of it. At least that would be my understanding.
  8. I guess Eckhart Tolle did ACIM before his awakening and still likes and quotes it. Also David Hawkins liked it very much. There are better books out there but it is nevertheless a good pointing.
  9. @Leo Gura If you don't find it remotely funny, just delete it.
  10. I'm not so sure how to interpret this. I more lean towards "thinking" that the ocean is the "I am", but I'm not so sure about that.
  11. Actually I had a sense of that quite often (I never did any psychedelics, weed or any of that stuff). But I guess or feel that life or the world is "just" like a small bubble or in my image I would often refer to it as like a table-tennis ball within an ocean. The ocean is awareness. The ball is everything that appears (world, bodies, the universe). But actually again, there is no real separation. And also it is also good not to cling to images because they might represent a lot of truth but maybe they just represent one aspect of it.
  12. A teacher that helped me very much with this "issue" (he speaks quite a lot of this connection-thing from both perspectives: Awareness and the nervous-system):
  13. Don't buy into the pickup-narrative. Talk to who you want to talk to and who is receptive of you. And then look for connection with the woman and not results.

  15. It's a matter of practising. putting in your time and learning strategies. And, don't demand too much from you, because no matter what you do, there will always be people for whom it is way easier than for you. And to get the best grades it is also about speed. Get old exams and do the tasks in it over and over again and go from there what you need to know.
  16. It's hard to answer because most spiritual teachers could easily be called "philosopher" as well. From those that are more seen as philosophers... I like e.g. Ken Wilber and Plotinus.
  17. Don't get attached to non-attachment as well.
  18. I don't like either one very much.
  19. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V6C24DW/ Of course you can do it also without the music but it is very supportive with music from my experience. If I were to do the meditation I would just get the Mp3s and cut out 50% out of every track and also do just 30 minutes. But I am not able to do the meditation because it would be a "little" bit too loud for my neighbours. I did it within a group over 10 years ago 3 times a week in the morning for 4-5 weeks. And it was 30 minutes.
  20. Yeah, something like that.
  21. The instructor played the offical music and then just shortened each phase by 50%. @Hardik jain But only do the dynamic meditation if it feels right. There are a lot of alternatives.
