  1. So basically he is telling you what to do and what not and walking over you. How could this be empowering? I would drop going to this person asap. What kind of background does he have in PTSD? Does he just do "talking" or does he have any expertise in bodywork? Actually there are approaches that also have a spiritual background or at least don't deny it that specialize in PTSD: Somatic Experiencing (Peter Levine). I highly recommend this work (at least if it is used in the "right" context). This would be the best book of this work (but there are also different audiobooks on specific subjects that are great): https://www.amazon.com/dp/1556439431/
  2. This is "normal" if you hear truth being spoken because is resonates within you and you recognize the truth of it. Maybe it's some kind of heart opening. Nothing to worry about.
  3. If you manipulate the blockages (force them open) it can retraumatize your system and the contractions and symptoms can worsen. We are not speaking of someone who is stable, for that person it's a good idea to do breathwork or dynamic meditation. For someone who is not (and I'm not able to judge if that migh be the case with @NutellaTC), it can be counterproductive. This is my experience and I'd like to quote a teacher of mine who says something like this "if you want to got really fast, you have to go really slow".
  4. Dynamic meditation / breath work is mainly for people that want to create more energy flow. And with people that have kundalini symptoms going that is not what they need because they have already too much energy flowing which runs against blockages on different levels which causes the symptoms. If you are unlucky one can make it a lot worse with that. Having done breath work and dynamic meditation myself, I don't recommend it in this situation.
  5. Theoretically it is not possible but actually one of the ways is this: by treating you as an object. Doesn't matter if this object is then treated negatively or positively though.
  6. Almost everyone has this. It's not personal.
  7. Do you have a website that is optimized for search engines regarding your practise as a psychologist? That would be the first thing I would do.
  8. I never admired Eckhart Tolle for his attractiveness though.
  9. Be happy that you never get approached. This means you also don't get approached by men that you don't want to approach you. It's really hard to say anything without knowing how you look and what vibe you have because that is most important for getting approached. I would try online dating if I were you.
  10. @PureExp Totally agree. From my own experience I would keep things as simple as possible. For me I was thinking that these energetic symptoms were wrong and everything should be fine and I made the "mistake" to treat it with even more spiritual practice or energy work. Looking back I would do things as simple as possible and not overdo things but still follow what resonates. I attended one retreat where the teacher recommended to someone (with some energetic symptoms and overwhelment) to skip the meditation sessions and go instead into nature/the woods and hug trees (this is no joke and the teacher is a really popular one on this forum).
  11. That's actually true. I didn't read most of it. No interest in it.
  12. You could also take a "tantric" approach. "Fap" and be present with it (without porn or fantasies). You might enjoy it or loose the taste of it. Going into fantasies only fuels the addiction imo.
  13. If you break it down meditation is surrender and not sitting or breathing or concentrating in the right way. It's just surrender to what is.
  14. So, did I understand it correctly that you never even met him as he lives not in close distance?
  15. @Prabhaker The "problem" is, that there can be phases where this is not appropiate. I don't know the exact situation but if there are strong energetic symptoms it would be wise not to shake or open up more energy. It could demand more simplicity and maybe even less or no practice (meditation, yoga...) at all. @NutellaTC could you be a bit more specific on the symptoms and on your background (where did it start, what kind of practices did or do you do...)
  16. Do you want to share opinions or do you want affirmation in your view points?
  17. I'm not interested in arguments, I can only share my point of view. For me, the question "where does this thought come from? Where does it go to?" made a lot of difference. If such a question does not resonate with you, it's ok.
  18. Once you see where thoughts arise in and also go to, there is no need for speculation. You could argue that thoughts are triggered by emotions or sensations, but then again is the question where do sensations, emotions or the body arise in and subside to?
  19. Is he in a state of depression and motivated by this? Or is he really fine and just is fine with transitioning?
  20. There are many different point of views on this. One is this:
  21. I don't know everyone who uses "life purpose" in his/her work, but more often than not it is used like this (I don't know Leo's course or view point on this though): hey, do you feel unfulfilled? That's because you are not living your dreams and your purpose. You just have to follow your passion and as a byproduct you will make good money with it. You might not have found work that really fulfills you, but trust me, it's out there, just follow your dreams. The problem is there might be things that are more aligned to what a specific person is, but the false assumption (aka ego-trap) is that something (external) can fulfill you (and anything that doesn't completely is wrong and not the "life purpose"). It seems very strong even in relatively conscious people. Maybe it's because in the past people were their job and that's still part of the human psyche. Edit: for me this whole life purpose thing was very very strong, maybe even till 3-5 years into my spiritual path. It certainly has been a trap for me in several ways.
  22. "Life purpose" is imo one of the biggest ego-traps in "new age". To answer the question: both equally "important".
  23. Of course they are. Everyone's nature is real love and that love peaks through no matter what the conditions are again and again from time to time, even if you are not enlightened. Living as an embodiment of love however only goes hand in hand with enlightenment imo.
