  1. Agreed. Of all different kinds
  2. Lol, I think Kanye West just found a higher level beyond material success he could be "The Greatest of All Time" at.
  3. Take responsibility for the existential crisis and the violent shift, stop and take a moment to ask yourself "Am I using this as an excuse? has reality really changed? or has my interpretations of reality changed? Why do I feel dejected about this whole thing? How did this violent shift happen in the first place? was it distraction? fear? did someone tell me something I didn't want to hear? How did I shoot myself in the foot? Am I blaming the existential crisis? am I focused on blaming myself or others or something rather than taking responsibility? Have I not been taking responsibility and been playing the victim? if so how can I take responsibility and focus on creating my life?" etc. Question your emotions, question everything, question the existential crisis itself, learn about it, understand it, find out how and why you stopped yourself from living your dreams. @aurum made a good point, strong emotions are meaning, so if your vision is crushed and you have a violent shift, get in touch with your emotions, that will tell you exactly what's meaningful to you and what's important to you.
  4. Look at the thread. It's your choice to do it or not, you are your own medicine man, take responsibility to do research into your costs and benefits of this and make a choice.
  5. This is already being discussed here: Please make sure to check if it's already been posted before you post things.
  6. Fundamentally homeostasis occurs due to a lack of groundedness/purpose and a lack of separating the truth from the illusion. I understand this is very vague, but to clarify, being grounded means to know your mark/direction/purpose/your values/what you want/when you know you're there/integrity/being it/knowing it/what your about/what your life is about/what you're here to do/ why you're doing it/ what the point is/ what it's meaning is/ certainty/ clarified/ no doubt/ confidence etc. and separating truth from the illusion means having the True Proper Expectations vs having your fantasy expectations of yourself/how you'll react (slide back/homeostasis) and the reality of what's actually going to happen which can only be found in the present moment. because the thing is you actually can't predict yourself, because you're you, you know all your moves, when you think you've got one up on yourself and how you'll react; you're actually in fantasy land and not aligned with truth; and that will lead to blunders. Your best chance for real change is to: 1. Know what you're after/direct present moment consciousness of what you want. 2. Direct consciousness of homeostasis (the reality/whats happening right now in the present moment/your interpretations etc.) 3. Move towards your target in spite of your current present moment reality. So if you're in class, 1. know the agenda, 2. get direct consciousness of what has to happen, 3. move towards your target/ what has to happen. Backsliding = Not knowing the agenda, not caring/thinking about what has to happen right now in the present moment, and not doing anything about it. Change = Knowing your target, care/think about it/be conscious of what needs to happen, and move your ass.
  7. @Source_Mystic I actually 100% agree with you, but I also think that one should hold "real facts" lightly, because I think they can become antagonistic to a technique that could have the potential to really grow someone (like me). I admire your passion for this post and I hope you can forgive Leo for his lack of explication about how one should go about being made aware of this technique.
  8. lol, all jokes aside, I actually appreciate your perspective @Source_Mystic Nice to see someone doing their research and questioning, but for me personally, I know my body pretty good, and it's clear to me if I decide to go on a Super Size Me McDonald's Diet, it's pretty clear that that's gonna have some negative consequences, if I decide to do some extreme sports it's clear that I could crack my head open. My point is there's always risks and I agree yes people should be aware of the risks, but some people can use that as an excuse to not do anything. As Leo mentioned in the video if you already have ailments it's probably best to stay away, just as if you had an oxygen problem and you decided to climb Mount Everest, you probably don't want to climb Mount Everest, just as if you had a problem with balance you probably don't want to bomb a hill on a skateboard. I get your disgusted with "Leo's lack of precaution and scientific facts" but sometimes truth can be a distraction from growth, which is critical to why I'm even alive and is something I value just as much as truth. Practically speaking, for the people who try it will quickly realize that you can stop any time you feel like it's too much, it's a interesting dynamic you have to balance here, it takes wisdom from you to know how much is too much and knowing your limits/weaknesses, that's something Leo can't and will never be able to teach you. Only you can know that. and I feel Leo already made this point clear, he just wasn't explicit with it as you are, which is why I really appreciate your post, so thanks for the information.
  9. @Monkey-man That's a lot of projection for the fact that there could be a lot of people that just don't know and were never exposed to higher consciousness values. I know I wasn't, and it's very easy to follow the existing social order when that's all you know.
  10. I agree In a sense you could say Enlightenment is the enjoyment of suffering, I never said you should avoid suffering, if anything I said you should completely surrender yourself to it and allow it to purify you.
  11. I see a lot of people like you trying to put a complex topic into very simplified and over generalized terms, then they confuse that for the reality. The thing you're not understanding is that illusion and "you're life" is predicated on falsehood, and for the people who don't understand this are suffering and not knowing why they're suffering. There's nothing wrong with having a girlfriend, having peace and being happy (that should be obvious right?), Enlightenment reveals the Truth of everything, and if that Truth goes against your agenda (being happy, having a girlfriend) then you're gonna resist it, and it's that resistance is the thing that causes ALL of your suffering in life, especially if you're dependent on external things to make you happy, you're guaranteed to suffer. Enlightenment is just Truth, can you handle the Truth? If you can't then that's the exact reason why you'll always suffer in life. (if or whenever you find yourself suffering.) This thread is a good indicator that you're suffering right now, resisting the Truth.
  12. Lying, dishonesty and a deep lack of self reflection. This topic goes incredibly deep, Leo has videos on self deception, morality, awareness, fake growth, low quality consciousness, false skepticism, lying etc.
  13. consciousness of your thoughts/ interpretations.
  14. Here's some videos for you that would be really good to invest your time in watching and thinking about. A Rant Against Morality - Very Foundational How To Stop Moralizing - Removing The SHOULDs From Your Life Responsibility vs Blame - Why You Are 100% Responsible For Everything >>>>>>>>>* How To Deal With Confusion *<<<<<<<<<< Understanding Meaning, Purpose, & Value
  15. You can do BOTH. Enlightenment is always here right now for you. The quicker you realize that the more you'll see that you can do both and the only thing keeping you from enlightenment is you. Stop thinking that anything external is the thing distracting you, that would be blaming something other than yourself for your unconsciousness. It's only you distracting yourself. Pursue a relationship, that's fine, but don't use it as an excuse or a rationalization or a rule to not be enlightened and vice versa, don't use enlightenment as an excuse, rationalization or a rule not to pursue a relationship.
  16. Check your monkey chatter about the ego. You're in your higher self when you're not confused about if you are in your higher self or not.
  17. @DMM710 No, its not counter productive, Affirmations create space for you to step into your authentic self. Recognize that these "I" statements are just exactly that, just thoughts. When or if you experience harm notice that it's your dependency on these thoughts that is the thing that is actually causing the suffering. If you are aware of this it won't cause harm or at least reduce it a lot. Think of doing affirmations as a proccess used to remind your subconscious of what you already are, not as some new identity that you aren't.
  18. Just do it, be mindful as your writing down your insight, that's the only real struggle here is staying conscious as you're writing your insight.
