I just want to highlight how atrocious this kind of stand is. The whole day today I got contacted by only 5 of my Canadian/international friends in total. Even though I’ve been posting like a crazy person on Facebook non stop, not sleeping, posting updates and so did most of my Ukrainians on Facebook. No Ukrainian now is sleeping, no one is eating, we are terrified. While it seems like the world doesn’t care about what is happening in Ukraine. Ukraine is desperate for support, at least recognition of the atrocity of what is going on. People spread misinformation, repeat putins propaganda, or straight out say *yawn* #notmyproblem. If you honestly think Ukraine’s “perspective” is “over represented” that is a complete propaganda and vicious lie. Dear world, your silence now means that you are standing on the side of fascism. I am not even talking about those who openly try to reason out putins actions. Now is not the time. Ukraine needs your support, sympathy and condemnation of the blood thirsty enemy. We don’t want to hear about how these are “just political games” while we watch our cities burn and our people die. There is no “sides” to this conflict, you either support the mass murder of innocent people, or you don’t. Also, don’t use spirituality and non dualism now - how would you feel if I was kicking you in the face and when you get upset said “omg… no big dealll… you’re just upset because it doesn’t align with your survival agenda”

The Patreon page for Ukrainian military has been stopped. Patreon explains is by stating they are not “collecting money for weaponry and items that could be used to harm other people”. They promised, however, that money collected thus far will be transferred to the military support foundation with no losses. This is very sad news. But there are more ways to donate!

Ukrainians are asking Russians to come out to protest the war.

Ukrainians and russian do not fight. Russia attacked Ukraine, Ukraine is defending itself. What exactly boggles your mind about it? The shared history Ukraine has with russia is of russian abuse towards Ukraine - for example Stalin’s Holodomor that starved up to 7 million Ukrainians to death over the course of 1 year - it basically cleared out Eastern Ukraine of ethnic Ukrainians. It’s that kind of “shared” history Ukrainians should appreciate?

So you’re just playing a devils advocate when something this horrible is happening to a country? Where’s the empathy in this? It’s like me pointing the gun to your moms head and telling you to give me reasons as to why I should shoot her.

What position? That putin’s silly excuses and paranoia are not a reason to start a war in my country? And that there’s no “BUT” to it? What Leo is saying is that putin is not justified to invade Ukraine, BUT… It’s kind of like in abusive relationships - “I am sorry for hitting you, BUT……” if there’s a “BUT” the “I’m sorry” doesn’t really mean anything.

And no I don’t buy into “if you disagree with Leo why are you on his forum” narrative - this is a community. He already made a comment when someone mentioned that Ukraine wants to join NATO by saying “boo-hoo call the whambulance” - this is the level of maturity your “leader” has regarding a country of 40 million being the hostage of whatever games are being played with it.
