Im conscious of what intelligence is. Intellect is more akin to rationality or agency (or working memory if you wish) I would say, and thats what I was getting at. Id say Intelligence is the substratum (which is infinite), which manifests into the intellect (which is finite), and to the degree that the intellect is in allignment with Intelligence, it is wise. So you can compute an intellect, but it may or may not be possible for this intellect to become wise (which would mean becoming sentient I guess).

I went to every major amusement park in Germany as a kid lol. I was extremely quiet and introverted as a child, and this was one of the only opportunities for my family to spend some quality time with me I didnt mind it.

We have already built prototype nuclear reactors, that are cooled with salt instead of water, causing them to safely shut down in case of emergency.

Invading another country is never a solution imo. Also, Saddam was the type of leader that they needed at that point in time. Had we cooperated (to the extend that this would have been possible), everybody would have been better off. This is no better than christian holy war.

I sympathize with Marxism, but it's of course a very partial perspective. I suspect you would agree, that both have to be done simultaneously. You need the right structure for healthy mindsets to emerge and you need the right mindsets to build healthy structures. It's a virtuous cycle (that's kinda the whole Ken Wilber spiel). I also don't believe there is such a thing as "fixing" ones mindset, since a healthy mindset is fundamentally something that is not "fix," but in flux (I'm not completely sure of that though).

Probably nothing, but it will make your thinking richer; there is a certain aesthetic to thought that you can develop, as you probably know.

Instead of killing those lunatics, we should study them thoroughly and find out what's driving their madness. Besides, with all the wild emergent technology we'll soon be using, I doubt there will be such a thing as incurable madness. If it's genetic, just give the guy a good ol' CRISPR therapy, if it's acquired, I'm sure AI can solve that somehow lol. It may be just and reasonable to kill certain people, but we can still make it a point to be merciful towards other sentient beings.

What do you do the other 23h 59min of the day? -
Super random, but I just had this insight, that systems theory will come in super handy, when creating art through AI - especially in music production. Imagine the crazy sound design that's possible if you can add prompts like feedback loop, autopoietic, fractal, strange attractor etc. to modulate your synthesizers and filters and what not. I just saw it in my mind's eye and it was fucking beautiful.

Yes. I know I'm repeating myself here, and I risk sounding neo-advaitan, but you really just can not explain the origin of the universe; it will disclose itself through Being. -

Again - it can not be explained. The Big Bang (and everything that has led to this conclusion) is just the best explanation that materialism could come up with. IM NOT ARGUING FOR THE BIG BANG! -

1) The Big Bang is the most plausible explanation for the origin of the universe, under the materialist paradigm. If there was a more plausible explanation, given the constraints of that range of consciousness, it would have been selected for. It's a step up from dogmatic belief in God, hence the justification for atheism. 2) You habe to be conscious of Being to understand the origin of the universe. -

I'm not advocating for the Big Bang lol. -

Or so you assume. Obviously not. -
These goals are laughable. These policies do not solve any of the underlying issues like perverse incentives or growth obligation. As long as exploitation gives you a competitive advantage, you are obligated to keep exploiting or you will just get fucked. What needs to happen is innovation - if renewable energy isn't more adaptive than fossil fuels, you can subsidize as much as you want, and the planet will keep being exploited until the last drop of oil has been extracted. Instead of making promises and building subpar technology, the government should put this money into education and R&D. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, as we all know.

It obviously can not be explained. Either you are conscious of Being or you are not. The Big Bang is the most plausible explanation within the materialist paradigm, that's all. -
Nilsi replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
What's your point? God isn't any more plausible than a Big Bang for the rational mind. -
Nilsi replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Hence the big bang story. -
If you're talking about "alpha" confidence, it's fake it till you make it. You can also just be naturally confident and accepting of yourself, though that might not be a reliable approach to get "respect."

So who created the creator?
