  1. If you can afford it, sure. If not, not. If I know I make 10x the money she does, I would have to be an absolute douchebag not to treat her.
  2. I prefer Isabel Briggs Myers book "Gifts Differing" to this. The author of your book doesn't even talk about cognitive functions once in the whole thing - actually does more harm than good, if you want to understand MBTI from first principles. Actually, while you're at it, just go back to Jung's "Psychological Types" and take it from there.
  3. Become a rogue scientist and study whatever you want to study without being tied to institutional corruption and archaic methodology.
  4. Depends on your goals: psychedelics for right brain, creative, synthetic cognition stimulants for left brain, narrow, task oriented cognition I always loved coffee and cigarettes for routine intellectual work - not the most holistic choice though, obviously. Qualia Mind is probably your best bet for everyday type cognition.
  5. Punk-Rock. Leaving puberty.
  6. Rationality basically. With the advent of modern science, people started to question more and more of the dogmatic foundations of Christian doctrine. If you question something for long enough it starts to lose its magic - now the genie is out of the bottle, God is dead and there is no going back to naive pre-modern dogmatism. What's so ironic about this is that the Bible has warned us about this fall from grace - being thrown out of the garden of Eden - all this time. Yet it was completely inevitable.
  7. Instead of this nonsense, you should spend your time thinking about how to create methodology that isnt so liable to manipulation and perverse incentive. Academic science is such a shitshow, its incredible.
  8. Of course you can do sales "ethically" (I'm assuming you have some kind of Kantian/Christian conception of ehtics) - it just won't be any fun. Persuasion is an art form - what you want to attempt is the equivalent of fighting MMA with your arms tied behind your back. 1) you'll get absolutely smacked by everybody doing serious sales 2) even if your work environment is supportive of so called "conscious selling," it's still an ugly apeing of what sales is really about.
  9. Literally got an anarchy tattoo as a teenager lol. Not my highest hour.
  10. I started getting more into Biohacking lately and stumbled over some rather fringe pornstar supplementation protocols. One thing that always comes up is taking Taladafil (the active compound in Cialis aka a boner pill) daily to improve libido, strength of erection and all that good stuff. I got intrigued, but decided that it's probably best to use as a kind of weekend protocol (it lasts 36 hours). Anyways, I ordered some (was a hassle), they arrived this week and a few hours ago I decided to try one and see how I react to it before using them in the field. I feel absolutely incredible: I'm super cozy and warm, relaxed, my mind is extremely sharp... it's very much like a low dose of MDMA + you can actually get a boner on it (and one hell of a boner it is). Not sure what to make of this other than that I've found the perfect weekend drug (and highly recommend it to any man out there).
  11. I was just about to suggest that - this session will quickly rob you of your illusions Have fun though!
  12. Either go into sales and accept that the world is not all rainbows and butterflies or stay out of it. Dont kid yourself - sales is a dirty business.
  13. I experimented with NoFap for over 5 years. I honestly don't see benefits that are great enough to justify it. I usually end up not fapping for many days in a row anyways, because I just don't have time for it; but I wouldn't do it purposefully. What I found works best is learning to have orgasms without ejaculating. Can't pull it off consistently yet, but it's the best of both worlds - if you're willing to put in the work it takes to learn it.
  14. The Holy Trinity of energy for me is good sleep, working out and an animal based diet (not trying to be dogmatic, but it's by far the most energizing diet in my experience). Thriving physiologically is the bedrock of changing your life for the better - meditation and no-fap are gimmicks you can throw on top, if you're into it.
  15. I had my first UFO encounter at like 12. Pretty sure I hadn't done any drugs at that point in my life. Of course you can say that I'm hallucinating this in hindsight - but then again, you can weaponize skepticism to dismiss anything that threatens your petty little myopia.
  16. Maharishi Mahesh (the founder of transcendental meditation (TM)) came up with some specific number of how many people in the world would have to start a TM practice to end all wars on earth. Not sure what the proposed mechanism is - maybe the only thing going on here is that people sitting down with their mouth shut is virtually always more constructive than all the stupid shit they would be doing otherwise .
  17. I think it's a metaphysical safety mechanism that God put into place to not spoil the dream so easily. If I were to talk to aliens on say psychedelics and I was able to record that conversation and publish it, life as I knew it would never be the same. This way it's a subtle reminder that there is infinitely more going on than meets the eye, without the unthinkable repercussions that actual proof of an alien encounter would have.
  18. Must be the increased blood flow - not sure why I'm so sensitive to it.
  19. Im very familiar with Peter Ralston. I like him a lot - he is also a bit of a megalomaniac
  20. If you read one book, read "Sex, Ecology, Spirituality" by Ken Wilber. On another note: What I did might sound sexy, but it actually stems from a deep feeling of not ever being good enough. This level of productivity and hustle is not sustainable unless youre insanely obsessive and megalomaniacal - so be careful what you wish for...
