Maybe its time to help someone else? And in doing so realise you are helping yourself? That this is a wakeup call to go collective minded rather than individual? In doing so you'll attain the next level of consciousness you are seeking through the interaction with others? Just a different perspective to give you, everything has multiple dimensions to it.

Its flawed in a few ways but no model is perfect. Show me a better one, and I'll reference it. Flaws: 1, It doesn't show the emotional scale people are on, it shows the logical progression of society. 2, I sometimes feel it is slightly collectively biased 3, It is absolute in its view of a topic. Many things can transcend the scale if the person engaging in it is capable of doing so or taking it there. It's harder with certain things obviously. It's harder to make a consciously aware business for example that benefits people and the planet, but its not impossible. Same with Religion. 4, We've all discussed the difficulties with Turquoise and Higher, because collectively we are not yet there, it isn't as well defined or accessible as a result. The only problem with most religions is that they decide the concept of god is somewhere else but in your head. The counter I suppose, to that is, everything, including wherever you believe God is, is also in your head.

Fascism requires the suppression of protests because it cannot operate with secondary dissenting voices; the leadership of these countries is usually too fragile and top-heavy to allow it. It fosters demagogues, tyrants, or partly criminal personalities to rise to power who will take that power the second they can. People's voice is their own and their ability to protest and voice it, whether it's 1 person, a 100, or a million is a fundamental difference between democracy and the fascism people are jumping toward with open arms. A democracy is enriched by dissenting voices as it can constantly reform itself to suit the population, whereas an autocracy is one or a few voices deciding the way. -

It'll be a long fight to stop some of what's coming. Might as well get started now. -
All he's describing is the usual cycle. Bad economy = change candidates and fascist leaders. Good economy = liberal candidates and expansion. Then asking people (fascist leaders) not to be fascist leaders, while trying to say it'll cause less suffering. Make everyone fascist, and there will be less ideological war, sure. Horrendous outcome, but sure that's a truth. When they have bombed the few remaining Muslim countries to ruin or submission anyway, which still needs to happen. Arabia and other Muslim governments are not fully ideologically aligned with the current fascists. He touches on fear and some of this being used but sorry to be blunt but he's a moron if he thinks there will be fewer border, resource, climate, and migration wars and suffering nationally under these types of leaders. Fewer genocides and assassinations while living under fear. That has been increasing globally. Isolate America and there is good chance of a larger border war with Russia coming and Europe. That's WW3 for me anyway unless Russia and BRICS can be held where it is. Especially with North Korea just throwing manpower in, and China/Iran throwing resources.

@zazen It's extremely rare in my experience that children vote the same way as their parents, just because their parents do. If anything I've experienced a rebellious opposite throughout my lifetime. Of much more import is whatever way the wind is blowing. People vote for whoever isn't in power in hard times, and bonus, someone hating everyone else because they feel bad themselves, and that shared hatred makes them feel better to find someone to blame (or shoot). All you need to do is shout Change in American or UK politics a lot when times are rough. The corporations take care of the rest by putting in the two candidates they like most. When you don't shout change as Kamala failed to do, her messaging was status quo and others trying to convince people times are not that hard. They are the hardest in the UK in my lifetime, which is why the right is out of power here and labor is in, because the right were in power when times got hard. The conservatives are starting to shout Change now, but its a bit early IMHO for them.

Focus on the breath. Put your attention on it all the time it starts to wander. And whatever happens, happens. Breathe from the stomach: Another School of Thought: Self Inquiry might also help: What is your mind letting go of? What is letting go of your mind? Does the mind exist outside of your own mind/thoughts/experience of it? Personally, I've always had more energy with belly breathing than I ever used to, but I thought I'd offer the other video for balance. -

Yes, the entire debate drove me mad, and it's why I wish there were at least 3 voices in US or UK politics on several issues for balance. One side wants to protect the immediate body of the unborn. The other wants to protect rights of the mother. Few voices considered the life of the child after birth, or the mother for that matter in either scenario. -
This is a choice for division, deportation, war, heating up the climate etc. It's not the coming-together choice; it is the other one. If you want positive, you'll do more short-term business, but it'll be less stable long-term unless it's in line with the pattern I've described above.

People are unaware that consciousness is the most important thing in the universe. Someone who isn't conscious isn't there. This applies to brain-dead people on life support, and it applies to unborn, unconscious babies. Until something is conscious, it is part of the mother and her choice. When it has consciousness awareness it needs all the protection in the world, including more support for drug treatment, child safety, schooling, healthcare, and the foster care system, which runs parallel with how many additional babies are forced to be born into broken homes by governmental policy. NB Before someone's ego defends their existence, I was also born into a hellish home, so I understand and there is no need to defend yourself to me. This is an observation of society and policy impacts on life as a whole. -
Its called decades of a pattern, watching it happen and people denying it to your face. You are touching on the main realisation others made, that it is a race against time. Will the Republicans (take that to mean the right or industrialists in other countries) take climate change seriously, or will they not before the climate gets too bad for human life to continue to exist at a level we are accustomed to? Because there are other levels of existence on earth we can endure. Trump listens to people who shine him on. If Musk has someone smart enough to butter him up sure; otherwise, he'll drop him as soon as it suits him; he has done with everyone else when it suits him. While Musk has popularity and makes Trump feel good he's around for now. He's going to reform the system to make it even less likely he'll not lose next time, Musk isn't required, it's already rigged in that direction with the courts, media, and gerrymandering. I don't think you are yet aware of how fragile things are now regarding humans. For example, if bees go extinct, we go. If the climate gets to a certain level of heat, we are dead. There is a possibility that in a couple of hundred years, we will be extinct. That's where we are at now. I think we'll be around, but there will be less of us and more war over water, resources and migration issues. The earth will be more like a desert in several areas and coastal cities will be flooded, both are happening now at a gradual pace. Food costs will skyrocket as farming land and fish continue to decrease, etc. @Sea NB, But yes America listens to corporations, and corporations are still weighted to be anti-climate, so that is your answer.

1st Location: I was caring for my Mum and tried to live upstairs but the landing there woke me up with regular traffic in a busy house. 2nd Location: The guy was great but he was on his phone at 3am and there were loud trains next door, plus a rogue mouse, 3rd Location The woman has a lovely home, but the pets are used to scratching at all the doors to get let out. I cannot fall asleep if I am woken up early on in my sleep cycle, and then she gets up at 4am for work (I work evenings) so I get 2 and half hours max. @Schizophonia I agree I found this out last time and I do try the, whatever happens, happens mentality, but also its the biggest priority I have, more than food. You get to a point where nothing else matters, I was almost walking into cars, and lashing out, forgetting everything etc. Thank you both for your suggestions, if anyone has any more please offer them. I will try them one at a time obviously, and not mix anything.

I am operating on so little sleep that my creativity is nonexistent, but I will try with a larger mind answer. Charisma. Less Disconnect from the working man. Favorability. More Controversial Dividing Topics. More 'Change' Messaging. Dems lacked it. Producing more leftwing podcasts and an a stronger populist online presence. Nobody on the left likes to engage with the left popular vote. If they do maybe they will have a chance. Sorry its not my best answer, but at the moment I am a zombie.

They will continue to move further right.

Trump can ignore anyone he likes at any time, and will. The republicans will not suddenly start helping the environment no. Both parties are corporate parties and corporations are weighted against the environmental concerns still. Plus a lot of their base has been told its a lie and doesn't exist so, there is political capital in doing the opposite.

Gotcha. It's a fair enough point for me generally. Even though applied globally to the UK at least and the working class, it wouldn't apply. -
They've voted for an authoritarian, semi-fascist in a tough time with war on the horizon. Its just the same cycle it always is. All that's happened is we are now closer to war than we were. America isolates more, Putin takes Ukraine, or a large enough chunk to go again and then we have a larger war in Europe, because we don't have the US guaranteeing it anymore or people taking that guarantee as a reason not to try and take land.

You missed the rest of the post clearly, that I edited in. But I haven't been able to manifest much no. We are trying a new business idea as a team now so we'll see. -

Sure throw me a few thousand to get setup somewhere and I'll move tomorrow. Otherwise I live on the poverty line and its been hell just getting new place to sleep that's quiet a few miles away. Times are tough disposable income is at an all time low, at least in my lifetime. Example: 625 Pound a month flat. They wanted someone who earned 29,000 a year. Worse, they wanted me to get a guarantor who earned it on top of my own income, even with excellent credit. Wrap your head around that. At least I get to laugh that its still on the market, and they've lowered it to 600 now which won't help with the ridiculous requirements. -

I have a problem with delusion, lies , or irrational people. I hate stories and value truth too highly. So it causes me to be put into reaction rather than action. -
BlueOak replied to Spiritual Warfare's topic in Society, Politics, Government, Environment, Current Events
Because I hate fairytales and I loathe the people telling them so I cannot recognize this truth because its uncomfortable to understand people prefer collective delusion, despite having 20 years of people saying they want more real takes on things in media, news, business etc. -

When you ignore them you run right into them, or they into you. -

https://climate.nasa.gov/vital-signs/global-temperature/?intent=121 The climate has been heating up for a couple of hundred years. There is demonstrable evidence. Not only the fact I've lived through 45 years of it and its got warmer and warmer. https://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/ You'd be better off arguing something like: We've already screwed up the planet who cares or. Its going to take a couple of hundred years to fix, so why bother? More people will agree because they only value their own experience of life. To argue that it isn't warming up at this point is quite frankly insane. I have no other way to put it to you. It's getting hotter all the time, we get no snow here we used to get 3 weeks of it. We had a 40-degree year here which is unheard of. The temperature graphs are significantly higher. You could say: We are not responsible, its just getting hotter. OR we have no power to change anything. Some people like that line because they can ignore it, but to say the climate itself isn't changing is completely false. -
Authoritarians love to do what they say their opponents are doing. Its the standard Russian playbook that he's using.

Democracies are often on a scale. The US will certainly slide more authoritarian. Its been doing so for a couple of decades. Trump and his team have said that's their goal.
