https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65246394 https://gnet-research.org/2022/11/18/islamic-state-supporters-on-twitter-how-is-new-twitter-handling-an-old-problem/ Did I say it was the main contributor? It is a factor in the equation. TikTok has 200% more users. TikTok races ahead of Facebook, Google and Twitter in fight against harmful content My post there contains links to various studies. Like how only 5% of accounts sending direct antisemitic abuse getting banned. There are a bunch of links there. You commented on that post but you did not actually look into the facts??? If you read you would already know much worse it is. I wonder how many of you there are on this forum who cant read. As of 2023, TikTok has about 1.4 billion monthly active users, which is expected to reach 1.8 billion by the end of the year. On the other hand, Twitter has approximately 396.5 million monthly active users. This means that TikTok has over 1 billion more users than Twitter https://quantummarketer.com/twitter-statistics/ https://www.businessofapps.com/data/tik-tok-statistics/ Now you are informed People who think Twitter is worse than Tiktok are simply morons and have the attention span that of a goldfish.

I saw a guy on YouTube that wrote a face detection Python code that launches a ball at your face. Technically, you can make a AI weapon at home today. What would Putin do if he had an advanced AI? How hard can it be to shut it down? Just throw an EMP grenade at it and piss on the circuits. AI should not be shutdown. AI should be funded with trillions of dollar by the minute. They should do everything possible to increase the development to speed it up. If people are worried about AI going mad, ask Musk for a ticket to Mars
-
Otherwise we get misinformed? Then you're not so different from Twitter and Musk are you. If you gonna talk politic, be informed on the subject or don't talk.

@Danioover9000 For example, you can point out the fact that the ISD also found an increase of nearly 70% in Islamic State accounts. Perhaps some of these 70% also contributed to hate speech? Twitter is a private company now and they serve as a public forum where people can express their views. More trolls is expected. Relax, hate speech on twitter will fade away. There is a far greater platform with hate speech and misinformation. Stop talking like the left-wings are some sort of saints.

I had a Kratom forum for a while. Too overwhelming. Left it unchecked for 2 days, came back to a nuclear disaster. Your job might get simpler soon: https://spectrum.ieee.org/ai-versus-online-hate-speech#toggle-gdpr https://ar5iv.labs.arxiv.org/html/2303.03387 AI that detects hate speech is in development.

What? He needs to do more promotion then because I never heard of that.

27k subs is not a failure. However, if I can put my thoughts: These clips consist of Leo speaking directly to the camera, with little visual content to engage the viewer. This format may not fully realize the video medium and can deter engagement and retention. It has nothing to do with the speaker. Nowadays, this type of content is suited for Podcasts. YouTube is a video platform, and people expect and are attracted to visually engaging content. Essentially, these videos are audio tracks. The YouTube algorithm seems to favor videos that keep users on the platform longer. Short audio clips may not perform as well because of this.

Probably yes, was looking at one outdated site Doubt Elon bought it for the stock tho. Do you think ISD's research who found an 70% increase in Islamic State accounts on twitter, has a correlation with the increased hate speech?
-
Current price is $53.70. In 2020 it shifted between $32 and $54. Also, institutional investors hold like 70%. Their ownership can benefit Twitter in the long run.
-
When it comes to Twitter you only look at headlines because you clearly have no clue. How is it going bad for twitter when stock performance has improved significantly compared to 2020? Stop spreading lies.

@Danioover9000 Leos statement: "FYI, just today Twitter's 2nd Chief of Safety resigned. So please don't bullshit us about how good Twitter is. Things are not going well there." That statement is incomplete because it doesn't provide enough context or supporting evidence for the claims he make. A resignation from a company doesn't automatically imply that things are not going well. People can resign for a variety of reasons. The tone of Leo G there is confrontational and discourage a balanced discussion. Instead, he could say: "Twitter's 2nd Chief of Safety resigned, a day after Elon Musk publicly criticized a decision made by the platform regarding content moderation. That would be a better contribution because it gives some context. Challenging someone's approach is not the same as calling them a liar. I was just suggesting a way he could make his points stronger. The idea of an informed debate doesn't necessarily contradict this forum guidelines. It's about creating a space to discuss and learn. Arguing for the sake of arguing isn't productive. Leo's background in philosophy indeed makes him valuable argumentation and critical thinking, and I respect his expertise. However, expertise in one field, like philosophy, doesn't automatically translate into a comprehensive understanding of all topics. My suggestions are not demands, but thoughts aimed at enriching the understanding of the political topic.

@Danioover9000 The devil is in the details" means that the complexities of a situation can only be discovered once you delve into the specifics. Balance comes from understanding the broad context but also scrutinizing important points, not relying solely on headlines. Musk's criticism may not be the only reason for the resignation, but it's a significant event worth noting. It's not about having free time, but making informed contributions in discussions. Twitter's moderation isn't perfect, but it's crucial to balance free speech with respect and safety. I was challenging Leo's approach, not accusing him of lying. The forum should be about informed debate, and if it's deviating from that, it's worth reassessing. Please be quiet now. Your response on my last post already made it clear that you're unfit for discussions.

Oh, how the mighty have fallen... I am not talking about Biden stumbling. Its like this forum has turned into a game of "Simon Says". I remember when Biden was the shiny new president. Everyone sang their praises and anyone who dissenter would either get banned on this forum or get a warning. Now after this: "Simon says, LET THE ROAST BEGIN". Poor Biden, he cant catch a break. First he stumbles, now the folks on Actualized.org is roasting him. That's politic I guess

As the saying goes, "the devil is in the details" You don't need to dedicate all your time to research, please find a balance between broad strokes and nuanced understanding. FYI, the resign came a day after Elon Musk publicly criticized a decision made by the platform regarding content moderation. Musk labeled the decision to limit the visibility of a video over allegations of misgendering as a mistake by many people at Twitter. https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-65786326 But how would you know since you only look at headlines. Imagine you want to see your favorite video on Twitter. But some people hide your video because they say it called someone by the wrong name. It's like if someone called you "Leona" when your name is "Leo". You are bullshitting here. Scanning headlines and summaries can provide some grasp of events, it may not offer the depth and nuance that political issues often need. Headlines are a gateway into a story and shaped by history, context, and many different perspectives. By not going just a little deeper, Leo, we run the risk of oversimplifying issues and basing our views on misleading or incomplete information.

They don't make "profits" like a typical business would. But it can certainly simulate economic growth. For example, access to Ukrainians' rich mineral deposits and their significant rich fertile soil. After the war, the military equipment like metals will be recycled. This means dismantling and smelting it down so metals can be reused. And this is process is often done by specialized companies with license to handle military waste.

@Danioover9000 Thank you for your response, it's very clear you have a talent for wordplay. It seems you've gone great lengths to articulate your thoughts. Your vivid poetic flair shall not go unnoticed, but it's important to remember we're in the political section of the forum, and the aim should be clear communication. Right now, your response feels like it's more suited for a poetry slam rather than a political debate. Instead of personal critique and cryptic messages, perhaps we on this forum approach each conversation with respect and genuine intent to understand our viewpoints. After all, it is these types of conversation that makes this forum truly beneficial. The goal here is to learn and grow, not to dismiss or confuse. The topic is taking about the spread of misinformation and harmful content on social media platforms, particularly TikTok. It's vital that they are talked about, especially considering their younger audience.

@MAHAVATAR_-_BABAJI If only the whole world had the exact same TikTok feed as you. Malaysia general election demonstrated that out of 679 TikTok videos with over 1,000 views, 373 contained hateful narratives and propaganda. Another study was based on a sample of 1,030 videos, posted on tiktok. These videos were used to promote hatred, as well as glorify extremism and terrorism. The report discussed how various features of TikTok, like the profiles, hashtags, share functions, video effects, and music, are used to spread hate. https://www.isdglobal.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/HateScape_v5.pdf <--- Full report. Research has found that TikTok plays a role in facilitating the spread of hate speech, as well as misinformation and disinformation. GlobalWebIndex: 41% of TikTok users were between the ages of 16 and 24. 10-19 age range made up the largest group of TikTok users in the US 20-29 age range was the second-largest group, 29.5% Twitter: 18-29 year olds (Adults, grown men and women), which comprises 42% of the user base as of 2023 https://sproutsocial.com/insights/new-social-media-demographics/ 10-19 year olds is the largest user base in US for TikTok. More studies on tiktok here:

You can't just rely on headlines However, its not that simple. Researchers and journalists have evidence for the increase in hate speech on Twitter since Musk took over. Like the doubling of anti-Semitic tweets and an 70% increase in Islamic State accounts. How do you define hate speech and racism these days? People can call you a racist if you say that 99% of the gangs in Sweden are immigrants or are born in Sweden but comes from a different culture. All the trials are public domain and you can see it for yourself that it is the case on PrimeCrime YT channel. Hate speech can be subjective. Also; Musk has pushed back against these studies and investigations. He say that he has taken a politically neutral line, and that not only right-wing accounts have been reinstated, but some left-wing accounts as well. He has also say that his efforts to delete bots have decreased misinformation on Twitter since his takeover. If people think Musk and Twitter is the problem, they are being cynical. If you guys care some much about hate speech and misinformation, you are stupid if you are stuck on Twitter. The #1 platform for hate speech is TikTok. But why aren't we taking about TikTok to combat hate speech, weird since that platform has 6-8 year old kids. Also, TikTok had around 1 billion active users, while Twitter had approximately 330 million active users. But no, musk is a billionaire and therefore evil - someone on Actualized.org forum probably.

Twitter was losing like $4 million per day, the layoff was to curb these losses. In fact, they observed a drop in hate speech that was below historical average following the layoffs. Yes it impacted many employees, from a business perspective, they were necessary step to address Twitter's significant daily financial losses. These people also got compensated good. You argue that the problems of misinformation, political biases, and censorship persist on Twitter, and that issues like increased trolling and account impersonations have gotten worse since Musk's takeover. These are not unique to Twitter or any social media platform. Misinformation and fake news is a challenge for all social media platforms, not just Twitter. His vision for Twitter is to provide a platform that upholds freedom of speech. The paid checkmark feature is to to democratize verification, making it accessible to all users and not just public figures. Musk is known for his unconventional approach, and only time will tell how his strategies will impact Twitter future. Also, define racism. Some people can call you a racist if you state the objective fact that increased immigration has also increased crime rate in Sweden, for example. Musk is "rushing forward" with changes. He is attempting to address some of the issues that Twitter has been facing. Successful leadership often involves difficult decisions making in a timely manner. Elon Musk is a highly influential figure with many interests and activities, from electric vehicles and space exploration to AI and social media. His statements and actions often attract significant attention and can be polarizing. Some people may appreciate his innovative spirit and bold ideas, while others may be put off by his style or disagree with his views or actions.
