@Leo Gura I don't like it at all for the reasons I already mentioned here: It's a big waste of time, to read all the threads from the first post to the last one and fill myself with the uninformed opinions from newbies, I want to quickly scan the page to identify any great insights, identify the insights from highly reputable members and to see if there is a productive discussion. I had a great idea, It is a very simple and yet revolutionary if you contemplate a bit about it. Rename the UPVOTE to THANK YOU. This Will put things into perspective.

@Shroomdoctor What you find concerning on the forum is only a threat to your ego. Yes, there are many low quality posts on this forum, but you have to understand that people have different backgrounds, different life experiences, different points of view, different beliefs, were influenced by different cultures, have different needs, different intentions, different levels of development. When you come across debates and comments that you don't fully understand that does not mean those debates are not useful, they are just not useful for your perspective and self-agenda needs. Use those threads as a way to embody more open mindedness by not judging the stuff, you don't understand and as a way to expand your horizon of possible perspectives. After a while you Will develop better discernment because you were open to all possible perspectives. That is the reward of being radically open minded and rejecting nothing. Then find the advice that resonates with you and ignore the rest. One message is not suited for everybody. What is valuable to someone, might not be valuable for you. Cultivate the art of knowing what to ignore. Avoid useless debates and personal opinions and find the ones that are productive and help you to rise up in your development. Understand that people on this forum are at different spiral Dynamic stages. Someone who is at the stage orange, Will see the guy at the stage green as a hippie and there is nothing wrong with that. How someone sees a situation is a direct reflection of his development. People can fall into the trap of spiritual bypassing but what's important is that, you don't fall into that trap, don't worry about others. Keep a daily spiritual practice, this is where you Will get the most spiritual growth. Theory from the forum Will help you with different aspects, it Will build your theoretical foundation, not your spiritual foundation. Use theory to fuel your practice, and your practice to fuel your theory. The thread you mentioned was a joke. -

@Joseph Maynor Based on my experience and from what I have heard and researched, meditating in a lying position is not recommended. There is a reason that a lot of people say meditate upright. with the spine erect. The energy system is more aligned and you can be more present. I did both for more than a year, there are benefits to both, but I wouldn't stick to only lying meditation. @bslpiontds Create a Schedule and meditate using different methods on different days/weeks. Experiment with different schedules. Stick to 1 technique per meditation session. Instead of expanding sitting meditation to 90minutes, I would expand the state of presence after finishing sitting meditation trough the day as much as possible. Additional tips: -

You have to know what to act on and what to ignore. You don't have to force things to happen, you have to just allow things to happen. Don't get stuck in the observer ego trap, see this post: -

Still accepting more accountability partners! I have a very specific process and list of habits that produce the most impact. For anybody who wants to make serious progress, this is a great opportunity.

@star ark In that video he told that fake growth=external change of circumstances real growth=releasing a certain need Something like that. -
AleksM replied to Shanmugam's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mighty Mouse I think he hasn't yet made a video about that. I think of it like that, a belief is an embodied thought; for example, you have a thought that you are open minded. Having a thought is cool, but you need to embody your thoughts trough repetition so they become embodied beliefs, like actual neural connections in the brain. So to do that you need direct experience that is showing you that you are open minded and not just one, but hundreds of direct experiences. Hundreds of experiences when you were able to switch your perspectives on a certain topic even if it was painfull for example. Another example might be (I am healthy, I eat healthy and I exercise) - well what direct experiences do you have that promote that thought? Do you eat healthy? Are you going to the gym every week for 3 hours? Are you feeling good in your body? Another example might be (I am non reactive when interacting with people) - am I able to be non-reactive when a lower consciousness, neurotic person talks shit about me? How often? -
AleksM replied to Soulbass's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Soulbass Interesting. Can you describe the experience in more detail? The more detail the better. A little bit more about: the colors you saw in the dream, was it like a flux of light, where everything was moving? -
AleksM replied to Joseph Maynor's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Nahm It's okay but include a link to the article in your post I wouldn't call these the stages of awareness, you might have a different definition. All of the perceived outside reality is being transformed by us all the time. In my opinion, we start to recognize this more accurately on the stage of courage, notice the columns force and power. This is the name of the book in which all these concepts are explained in more detail. -
AleksM replied to Joseph Maynor's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Faceless Yes, nothing wrong with that. From my perspective, if the frequency raises, that initiates a transmutation process of lower frequencies and so if one maintaints this high vibrational state and Works on bringing oneself in higher alignment every day, then the quality of the life experience Will increase. Imagine being aware of your reality shifting 1000x faster than now. The old images and content would appear to be changing much quicker. This is basically consciousness work from a different perspective. When one is meditating one is raising the frequency of consciousness, so it makes sense to find more ways to raise the frequency even more. I don't see much benefit in being aware of a low consciousness experience (low quality), I see amazing benefits of being aware of a higher consciousness experience (higher quality). Emotions are better, the overall feeling state is better, situations are amazing, health is good... A few ideas to contemplate: -
AleksM replied to Joseph Maynor's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Faceless @Joseph Maynor Find ways to raise the vibrational frequency of your being, of your consciousness. Maintain awareness of the feeling state. Let your feeling state be your guiding mechanism to orient you if you are lowering your consciousness or raising your consciousness (don't rely on the agitated state). -

@cirkussmile Distraction is relative to the subjective perspective. What might be a distraction for you might not be a distraction for somebody else, and vice versa. -

Drink water before / a little bit during the meal. Don't drink too much water after the meal. This Will aid your digestive system to digest food faster and more efficiently. Before you start eating enter a state of gratitude. Inhale gratitude. Then eat the meal from that state of gratitude. Notice how the entire experience of eating changes for the better. When you are eating focus on eating mindfully and slowly. When you are eating, don't watch videos, talk, read or anything else, just focus on eating. -
I find reputation points highly useful to quickly scan the page and find the most upvoted responses. Also, when I look at the reputation points of a certain user, that can be a quick sign for me that that user is posting more insightful posts. People don't read anymore on the internet, they scan and rep points are a good way for us to scan quickly and then decide if we want to read or not. I would keep the thumbs up button and reputation points under the user, but I would remove the thumbs up notifications as they can be distracting and useless. Also, maybe disable the function for users to look up who gave reputation for a certain post (maybe only keep it for users to look up who gave reputation on their own posts only), but I still like transparency. There is too much to read and so these rep points are useful to quickly scan the pages and users. Of course, that can be used to bias us, but I see more benefits than not. If we don't see certain metrics under the username and posts, then it's nearly impossible to locate the good, insightful users from the ones that are not, resulting in a lot of wasted time. Also, it is a quick indicator of a useless debate between users taking place or a productive conversation. Also, usually, people who have at a quick glance a lot less rep points than their total number of posts, that's a good indicator that they're engaging in a lot of debating on forums and don't provide much value. Maybe, create a sticky thread that outlines how to properly use that feature @Leo Gura, so people are more informed and less biased. Maybe remove total reps only for yourself as it's already obvious that you Will always have the highest reputation in your own community but keep the thumbs up button for your posts. I don't find any use in the labels that are displayed under the username (lesser chimp, low ape... and the dots displayed under the labels), that's totally pointless in my opinion. Another thing I would remove is the phrase edited that shows up under the posts. Maybe keep it until 48 hours pass and then disappear.

@WaterfallMachine Infinity includes more infinity. You are a creator. You are manifesting a version of me that is reflective and representative of your perspective in that moment but that does not mean I don't exist as an entity. I too stand alone as an individual part of consciousness but I am experiencing my own reality and you are experiencing your own reality, because we are creating our own reality. We are creating reality and we are being created by reality trough observation. What separates me from you is the focus of observation. Now, integrate. -

@Mighty Mouse The human condition can change quickly when you have Access to an unlimited amount of information. You can then make more informed decisions and that changes everything. In the past only the most powerful and influential people have gained Access to information. -
AleksM replied to AleksM's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mighty Mouse The rate of change society is experiencing is raising exponentially, the question is only how aware you are of that. There is a big difference between this time we are being right now and the time of ancient egypt. Don't underestimate the power of the internet. -

AleksM replied to AleksM's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@blazed Yes, you are right, but consider the rise of the internet in the last 10 years. Information is spreading exponentially and so more and more people Will know about the self-serving agendas and manipulations of the government and so from my perspective the collapse of the current government is inevitable. There are not that many people on the top of the financial pyramid and there should come a time when the power Will go back to the masses of people.
