I took MDMA when I was starting to feel the effects of the LSD. There wasn't any fear, MDMA easily takes away any potential fear from trips.

I don't understand the point of mahasamadhi, other than if you want to be unified back into infinite consciousness earlier than the normal time which is when you would normally die. It will happen anyways. -

To me it mainly seemed to be about the aliveness and infinitude of consciousness. -

The true nature of reality/God is bliss, love, ecstacy, goodness, etc. All you want is what reality fundamentally is, you just want what it actually is. -

You are completely missing the love aspect of awakening, without which there is no true genuine God Realization. It's also clear from what you wrote that you are still creating a separation between you and God. -

I can't imagine a positive response to telling a therapist that you are God and that everything is your dream, including the therapist. -

I think the real problem is not the capability here but the willingness to do any of these things. Would you really deep deep down want to do such things, as they would radically affect your whole dream? Then again so does enlightenment, but that is more like becoming aware of the possibilities, not actually going about doing it. Then again, these kinds of alterations could be interesting if one really wants to pursue the path, especially for making a practical example of the dreamlike quality of reality -

You have to appreciate how deep the no limitations thing goes. There is nothing restricting so called logical impossibilities from being phenomena, it is only your limited mind that cannot allow them to exist. It is only your mind that cannot comprehend these things. To God they are no problem. But you will never grasp that anything is possible without radically changing your consciousness and understanding that truly nothing is impossible... nothing. -

The one who said when his guru took LSD and nothing happened was Ram Dass. I'm really skeptical of this because no matter how conscious you, if you are let's say on 400ug LSD and take 50mg DMT on top of that, there is a huge exponential effect. Even though you are already more conscious with the LSD. It's not like there is some limit at which your consciousness is capped, it can always increase. As for the meditator brain scans, no meditators brain is even nearly as connected as it is with a person on a high dose psychedelic trip. They wouldn't be able to function at all like that. They would be having complete synesthesia and other phenomena like thay. The only results I've seen from brain scans of meditators are the lower levels of DMN activation. -

You know it really applies to all phenomena, not just these. Yes, everything is an illusion. Literally everything is just backstory/context. People, stories, history, science, creations, products, all causes, all stories where xyz came from, and so on... -

I am not saying you are a being experiencing the objects from far away... I am saying you are being the color red and the object you see, and anything in the experience... Yes, there is no experiencer, but you are still left to be the raw experience itself. Experience does not need to be in a subject-object relationship. You just aren't aware of the fact that you are those raw colors and raw objects and all raw sensations, or that it is exactly consciousness, your awakening is not complete. -

The choices aren't only between human and God, that would be very unimaginative of God. Tons of people visit these other dimensions on psychedelics that very well could be defined as something in between these states, full of fun, love, and unimaginable things. Even these are a mere fraction of infinity. God will create an infinite variety of dreams, some infinitely easier and some infinitely harder than this one. Some will be filled with fun unimaginable to any humans, some will be full of suffering. You need to really grasp the magnitude of God's infinite imagination, it is certainly not limited to human dreams and God mode only. I think most people here don't understand that God can truly create anything, and this anything is infinite in infinite numbers of dimensions and possible ways of experiencing. Just because this dream has rules set like this does not mean all dreams are like that - if the rules were easier or more challenging, then people would still be asking why it is so easy/challenging (that is actually very relative since a being 1000x more intelligent than a human would still have limits and thus have entirely different kinds of problems than humans do, as does a worm still have problems). -

You have to keep in mind that you are reality, so you are just that raw red and that raw music. What is so bad about that? You are just being the experience itself. -

I think the problem is that as Razard86 said, it is not going to lead you to God Realization for most people, but to some lower level of awakening. How many people out of a million are Lahiri Mahasaya, have innate spiritual talent, and can actually dedicate their life to practicing a specific technique (and pick one that is uncorrupt and works from all of the techniques)? Probably not many. That doesn't mean they can never lead to God Realization, but the success rate is very low, otherwise there would be far more God Realized people. As a side note I used to believe that meditation/yoga can never reach the same states as psychedelics too, until during one very high dose trip I became conscious of a meditation/yoga practice that was incredibly profound, deep, and would actually lead to God Realization level awakenings (I was fully conscious of this at the time), that does not actually exist at the moment because nobody has ever practiced it specifically, but after the trip I lost this knowledge and have been unable to actualize it at all. Due to this I think the potential of yoga/meditation has not reached its fullest potential and could actually potentially evolve methods to reliably produce God Realization. -

God isn't labeling you anything. The only people who call anything selfish vs selfless here are humans. -
I have been really curious to what kind of perspectives can God take, because God should not have any limits from taking any imaginable perspective. Humans, animals, and organisms in general are obviously easy for us to imagine to be possible for God to incarnate as. Many people report taking the perspective of all kinds of animals or different humans in different realms during trips. As a personal example I have had a trip where I got completely immersed into a different reality where I lived as a completely different person, having no idea that I was tripping, and when I died I came back to my reality. I lost most of my memories during this process, probably due to the extreme time dilation experienced, but I remember enough to know that it happened. Going a bit deeper, yet another personal example, during a DMT trip I have had an experience of becoming a tree, and living a full lifetime as this tree (extreme time dilation). When I died I started to come back to this reality. I've also heard of people taking the viewpoint of a fungus. On the other side of things, I have also had an experience where I was a fully conscious galaxy, not being incarnated as any particular organism. But things get more interesting when we move to inanimate objects, because people report taking perspectives of inanimate objects (notably on salvia, but happens on other psychedelics as well). Can God live a full experience from the standpoint of an object? These experiences would not necessarily even be defined in terms of life and death, but something altogether different. What about the letter A? Can God incarnate in first person as a particular letter A and have an internal experience from this standpoint? If it can't, what would be preventing God from taking this perspective? Is there any perspective that God can't take? Have you had experiences of becoming something other than your current life on psychedelics?

Material possessions are like a bonus. Not necessary, should definitely not be the goal, but you can still enjoy them. I don't personally experience unhappiness regardless of the situation either (perhaps that would change were I to be tortured brutally - I've never been in such extreme situations so I don't know), but I still enjoy all the things life has to offer. I don't think happiness and variety of experience are mutually exclusive, its more like you shouldn't be trying to make some specific thing your goal for your happiness, but rather an expression of your innate happiness. -

I think its the opposite. The whole point of the human experience is to experience the dualities and diversity life has to offer. You can still feel complete and do various things, not everything comes from a place of lack or neediness. -

Does it really matter when each and every one of past, present, and future lives are yours? -
amanen replied to Someone here's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
God can pretend to be a human and pretend-forget that it is God and then wake up to the fact that they always were God. Dismissing states of consciousness is just ignoring direct experience. -

Long term meditators have been shown to have decreased DMN activity. The activity will decrease, but it will probably not reach the same level as you would with a very high dose psychedelic. However keep in mind that psychedelics do far more than just this, notably they make different brain areas connect to many different areas that would usually never communicate with each other (There's a great visualization of this if you search google for placebo vs psilocybin). There's probably far more going on too, given to how many receptors most psychedelics bind to. -
My experiences have been so totally satisfying on every level that I never have felt a need to go back immediately. Many times it actually felt like I didn't come back until I was completely satisfied. It's like when you've just eaten something, you don't really want to eat anymore. Obviously after a time the experience fades and you want to experience those amazing levels of consciousness again.

Yeah, I know its possible, I've heard of similar stories, but it definitely needs something more than just no thoughts. Your level of consciousness can of course can be raised from means other than psychedelics, but it seems incredibly difficult to reach a permament state of bliss. -
amanen replied to Laxx's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I live in a constant state of no thoughts, for whatever reason, and my experience is not any more blissful than if I was thinking. All I have is a more calm awareness, no feeling of crampedness in my head, and I am more aware of the present moment. But when I take psychedelics and reach far higher levels of consciousness where I am very conscious of love, oneness, and so forth, I feel indescribable bliss far stronger than any orgasm you could have. It's both physical and mental, and even metaphysical. It's just bliss in every conceivable way. It's sheer ecstacy. When many meditators talk about bliss, they are probably referring to the former, not to the actual incredible bliss that you can get from psychedelics. If you actually want true bliss, increase your level of consciousness, as Leo said.
