  1. @vizual woah no way, again read my post, I'm saying the opposite lol.
  2. @vizual read my post again, without your children in Africa example covering it up. No putting words in my mouth sir.
  3. No offense with what I'm about to say, and there's nothing wrong with entertaining contemplations like this, but this question sounds like a distraction. We don't know who the Buddha is, and we are only assuming that he/she/it even taught how to wake up from a dream (dream is also a concept or assumption). This is like the question about if a tree falls did anyone hear it, just a pointless loopy question, and the stuck-ness you feel when trying to find the answer to such a question is the same thing that happens with this question (similar to koans). The stuck-ness, notice that. Do you notice that sometimes you try to figure things out and there's a stuck feeling? That's a message.
  4. @PurpleTree it's a mindbender really. All this inner craziness, but it's really the thought that there is inner craziness that must be ordered or silenced that brings suffering.
  5. @Terell Kirby how do you know you're conscious of something?
  6. @Khan 0 I wasn't being serious ?.
  7. @BenG thanks! You're awesome too ?.
  8. I notice on this forum that people believe that life is some petty thing, and that the "infinite consciousness state" is the only thing that matters. This sounds like escapism to me, quite harmful too.
  9. Honestly I think first it's important to handle other social issues, then we go to the pedophile stuff. It's kinda like asking nowadays "how do we get a space ship into another solar system?" Like we are barely on Mars lol. We will fix a shitload of social issues first before we even begin to seriously consider how to handle pedophiles.
  10. RIP ?. I'm sure he was a good guy.
  11. @Consilience ? it's amazing. All that is to do is create, which is impossible to not do anyways ?.
  12. @wildflower we will find a way to shift our physiology and slowly become cyborgs. Our reproductive methods will change. Nature's a genius.
  13. @BipolarGrowth better to get up on stage and start telling jokes ??.
  14. @kag101 ? shh, Gregory is indeed God, according to one of his/her posts he's also solid stage coral. Let's all bow down to this enlightened being.
  15. @Preety_India the ego is obsessed with inflating itself and it loves the idea of going up stages. The spiritual stuff is actually calming that down and "moving back" into truth. Whatever stages there appears to be, it isn't actually a product of moving forward and getting closer to accomplishing something, it's really calming down, slowing the momentum of "I gotta get enlightened!". Hope that made some sense.
  16. @BlueOak that will not be of any use to you. Lol, spiral dynamics is a map, fantasy, it has 0 actual reality. I'm surprised for a place that speaks of using models responsibly, they've completely become hypnotized by them ?. There's no spiritual ladder to climb, only living aligned with goodness and health. A good teacher? Only you know that, what teacher resonates with you? That is the right teacher right now then.
  17. @Raptorsin7 yes. All of our political actions are usually born out of fear, which is why we are always in a state of "everything is barely holding on but we are okay! ?". It's so simple, just move from a place of Love, but the masochistic-self needs to prove that pain makes gain. So on and on goes the cycle.
  18. If you focus on shit, then all you'll see walking on the street is dog turds. You're seeing all the dog turds and missing out on that awesome weather.
  19. There are no points of view or point of view. Don't ask me what this is, I still don't know ?.
  20. Boredom is a highly transient emotion, this means that it is an emotion either quickly accepted and turned into contentment or quickly denied and turns into resistant/pessimistic thoughts which leads one down the resistance rabbit hole. The emotional scale is perfect for understanding emotions.
