@soos_mite_ah I would say yes, you seem to be overthinking it. Just take simple precautions, it's very common sense, if you have a mental condition that involves psychosis or bipolar/mania, then of course be VERY careful. Make sure the setting is in a safe place and take a beginner dosage of whatever substance. Otherwise, have a nice, innocent trip. Just go in and have fun. In my opinion, I wouldn't listen to anyone's horror stories on the matter, it's like a self fulfilling prophecy, if you say that God is horrifying and scary, then you're just spooking yourself out for no reason (also God being horrifying is not true). I used to have the whole God consciousness shit on psychedelics until one day I realized it was actually the spiritual ego playing the game of being God, and in turn always being afraid of itself, then repeating the whole "infinity is frightening!" Story.

@BipolarGrowth I don't understand, he does the ceremony, he feels depressed. Doesn't do the ceremony, maybe feels better. Maybe I'm being simplistic, but changing the pattern is helpful. I know exactly how it feels, when you trip at night, you wake up the next morning groggy, feeling traumatized and overwhelmed. Versus having a nice trip in the morning and slowly coming down and then sleeping like a baby.

@john1 One tip that will save you is to not go down the discipline Rabbit-Hole and automate your savings. Get a job that makes decent money and find a balance to where you can build a nice savings and still buy yourself nice things. Also its totally possible to make good money and also enjoy your life. Dont listen to the Gary Vee type teachers, they thrive off of the naturally masochistic nature that conditioned humans have ("I must conquer myself, I must have good discipline, I need to be working a million hours a day because someone can take my place"), dont fall for that bullshit, I guarantee you those fuckers are miserable. Mosquitos are quite humbling, as they actually show us that we aren't hot shit. Mosquitos are single mothers trying to feed their kids, you're just food for them, another piece of the Cosmic puzzle.
