  1. @BipolarGrowth agreed thanks for sharing your opinions with me ?.
  2. @WokeBloke hey I saw what you posted earlier change it back ?. Nah just kidding, it's all good .
  3. @WokeBloke Thought sneakily assumes that something is seen at all, and then creates labels upon it. There is actually no difference. If your hands are deep-frying youre not gonna be like " Oh this is heat, wow its different from ice cold water, look at me ive made a distinction!". Just because you move your hand out of the hot water doesnt mean it was because of a distinction you made. You can take shit ridiculously deep when you contemplate these things. Impermanence is one of those things that people easily adopt as a belief because its a damn good pointer. But even impermanence isnt the ultimate truth.
  4. @AdroseAkise No worries . Theres nothing wrong with having a personal disinterest in weed, no need to try and tolerate it or make it a part of your life. Im only saying to consider that there are people who treat a joint the same as cup of coffee, just a healthy simple pleasure.
  5. @BipolarGrowth Imo, there arent even distinctions in what we'd call perception. Distinctions are created by thought and thats it, if distinctions made out of thought disappear, then theres no difference between anything whatsoever. Why? Because there just isnt. Kinda like why isnt there an ego?Because there just isnt. "what is" was brought up as a pointer to point to...well you know. There really isnt anything. The "real world" is already blank and actually has no qualities whatsover, no color, no smell, not a single thing.
  6. @AdroseAkise Thats not a fair assessment honestly. All substances can be used respectfully depending on what suits you. Some people can smoke a joint and handle their shit with no problems. Of course im not denying that many people can fall into laziness and haziness with weed. For me weed once in a blue moon is very insightful and awesome, daily just makes me slower.
  7. Samadhi are peak states of concentration within the meditative practice. With much meditative practice, eventually the samadhi states happen more frequently to the point where it can be nearly daily. But its important to understand that liberation means liberation from samadhi itself as well. So samadhi states however amazing are no different than anything else and arise and fade, the real trick is letting them go.
  8. @WokeBloke oh okay. You see a flower that is dying. The memory of the flower in its youth arises and you say "Oh the flower was once youthful, now its dead, boom, change!". Whats here is here, and even impermanence/change is transcend-able. Things are bound to be different, because things are created by thought and therefore are composed of distinctions.
  9. @WokeBloke Hey, you're better served seriously contemplating these things for yourself. You can certainly Realize the truth in these things. If you don't know for yourself, how is anyone's answer here gonna satisfy you?
  10. @RobertZ @Michael569 thanks for the contributions guys! I'm pretty lax with how I eat as I'm in good shape and I don't like candy/sugar based products anyways. I am going to wean off into complex carb dominant diet though.
  11. Just out of curiosity. I've been eating refined carbs like white rice for example, I don't eat candy or any sugar for that matter, but I'll eat potatoes and white rice and I haven't had much of an issue. I'm suspecting exercise may have improved how my body uses carbs and that's why refined carbs don't affect me as much as they used to. I do cardio in the mornings and weights in the evenings on weekdays (sometimes I'll do just cardio/weightlifting instead of 2-a-days) For the health experts, any ideas on this?
  12. I agree with this right here ?. @EntheogenTruthSeeker In this spiritual process, we can often find ourselves becoming defensive of our vibrations, but Love is unbeatable and in fact, it's contagious . Leave your family with Love man. Be the wide open love that allows them to be wacky and crazy ??. Love isn't just hugs, love is patience, love is honest communication, love is respecting your parents paths in life with the same respect you have for your own path.
  13. A belief log is a lil thing I came up with that's helped a lot. I really value simplicity, and the more complex route is also welcome and okay. I think it's nice to sprinkle in some simplicity on this forum to keep things holistic and diverse ?. What does a belief log do? It easily allows you to spot your beliefs and in the spotting of them you no longer take them seriously. One thing that's unbelievable that I've realized lately is that it's really all just beliefs that's in the way of ever-deeper unfolding Love ❤. Give it a shot, it's really easy and you can verify this for yourself almost immediately! Step 1: buy a journal. Step 2: leave the journal open on your desk at all times. Step 3: any moment a belief comes up that hurts or feels off to you, go to the journal and simply write it down. Step 4: use your meditative practice to stay equanimous when the recognized beliefs arise. Just recognizing that something is a belief is already hugely relieving. I guarantee you theres stuff you claim to know about yourself when really it's actually just a belief you hold about yourself. Example: "I suck" you may actually think this is true, but you can recognize that "I suck" is just a belief, you then no longer take it seriously and inevitably it will transmute into a Loving thought. This is a huge help in my life personally. You'll be shocked when your "perception" of reality changes just by letting go of some beliefs.
  14. @Carl-Richard I would agree, another important thing to note is the assumption that an animal even knows itself. As in, the animal knows itself as a living being, what if there's nothing there? Humans have the self-consciousness mechanism which gives the convincing appearance that I know I exist, animals don't have it. Although to be fair, it's been shown that elephants may actually have this to a lesser degree. Their memory is really good, memory and ego go hand in hand.
  15. @BipolarGrowth I would disagree, there is only what is right now this very moment nothing else. The sun is bright, I don't see the moon at all, I don't even know that the moon exists. If you experience only what is right now without believing the memories of what was back then, then there would be 0 distinctions. Feel your body sensations right now without memories arising or believing them, there would only be what is and nothing else. All dualities are projections of thought, there is nothing here in the present. The energy which language is made of is pure wholeness manifesting as the appearance of two, it appears as two but it is impossible for two to actually exist. To be clear, when I mentioned instantaneous response, that's really a finite phrase and it's hard to convey the real thing. There isn't even a response, infinite intelligence is so amazing that there's no response at all to anything. Thought creates the belief/projection that there is a response. Thought identifies as a person, and the person then invents the word response in order to take credit and say they responded to something.
  16. @RMQualtrough lol, no offense bit this makes 0 sense. How does a baby getting slapped and crying have anything to do with duality? A guy walks up to you and punches you in the face, you fall on the ground and your nose is dripping with blood, where's the duality in this? Someone pushes you off a bridge, where's the duality in this? I suspect you think dualities are actually real, this is something to be investigated.
  17. @RMQualtrough you're falling for the trap of language. Animals don't exist, all the things you're saying is just words and has nothing to do with the real thing. Reality is infinite intelligence, no thought story will ever even touch it. Animals do not eat meat, what's going on is far beyond the grasp of thought. The truth is all forms of life are untouchable by thought, so duality is only in language. You do understand that you are a sensory being right? If you burn your hand in a fire and pull your hand back, it's not because of duality lol, it's the instantaneous response of this machine organism. I suspect perhaps you haven't deconstructed survival yet. Even survival is a finite thought story and can be transcended.
  18. Oh man. The ox is neither dead nor alive. The ox is pure bliss, the point between the two polarities yet neither. It's like becoming blind, just a blind energy that is Not-Knowing. I'm riding this motherfucker home.
  19. @RMQualtrough notice that you're using language to project duality onto the natural world.
  20. @Osaid now that I look at it, it looks like a turd with a black rose blooming out of it. This forums fucking hilarious: OP: asks a serious question. Everyone else: takes time out of their day to talk about a bag of garbage. Hahahaha
  21. @WokeBloke good! What's better is the direct Real-ization of this, then sure use whatever pointers you'd like as long as you tell others that they're pointers.
