It's just fear ?. It's always been fear,not your parents your country, situation, etc. Just fear. Contemplate: What is fear? How does fear come into existence? How does fear maintain itself?

Hello all, I've been processing this realization for the past 3 days and it's been a hell of a ride. To start off 3 days ago: There was a depression in the body and much sadness, I was contemplating the nature of thought further and began to break ground when I noticed that thought goes in circles yet can never actually be in the circle it creates if that makes sense. Suddenly It was realized that thought is infinity and its a strange loop with no center. No joke, I was borderline manic for 2 hours. Directly realizing infinity (sober btw) was so shocking and empowering I was like "this changes everything!". Infinity is like an orb of nothingness that cannot be touched by the world yet the world is actually what creates the orb of nothingness therefore emptiness and fullness are the same, and there is no orb or world. Infinity is not a quantitative thing, it's just infinite and complete and empty. For the past three days I've just been melting into this infinity. I see the chaotic energy of life, traffic, anger, pain, love, awesomeness and it's all infinity. Also came to the realization completely that there really is no body. Before there was the misunderstanding that there is a static body moving in the world, now there is no body. It is clear that no one goes anywhere, and that movement is an appearance so it's almost like a side scrolling video game where the character stays in the center at all times and doesn't actually go anywhere. This will be difficult to point to but it's like the body is always being manifested of itself right now this precise second, so there is no body as in a static being, it is always being manifested. Hard to point to because saying it's always manifested now still implies time. The quote "Wherever you are, there you are." makes sense now. (Not even sure if that's a quote or if I made it up lol). Just wanted to share ?.

@softlyblossoming it's definitely nice ?. Weird as fuck as really I as in this person hasn't changed at all, rather the truth is just there. @Seraphim please do! Infinity is totally possible to realize sober, just takes some digging.

@peanutspathtotruth hell yeah, just melting more and more. I've let go of the assumption that any solid permanent enlightenment will take place, as shit just keeps unveiling, but idk. Also, all judgement and anxiety has left pretty much. I was at a family gathering awkward as fuck, ears burning, tears nearly coming out, and there were 0 issues. It's like I get to be myself AND not suffer pretty much.

@WelcometoReality the fear is responsible for the sense that there is a you. So to not be afraid means that you will disappear such that there won't even be anyone to not be afraid or be afraid.

@liliacvine this is gold right here ^ . In these paragraphs there's some beliefs you're holding and you don't even notice, notice them and let them go. Then rinse and repeat. Also just take it easy on yourself, this can be a very taxing process, especially in the beginning. Rest well.

@catcat69123 We can say that the fear vibration creates self, and self/fear then creates the idea of conditional happiness, and chases its own tail. Have you ever noticed when there is resistance/fear present that thought manifests as arguments/conflicts with others and other unpleasant fantasies?

Selfishness is impossible, doesn't matter how selfish you think you are, your existence is crucial for all other forms of life to exist. The breathing of the being sitting reading this is allowing the plants to grow, the living organism is harmonious with the universe. It is thought which says "I'm selfish". Selflessness is the case, and in its selflessness it manifests as one who thinks he/she is selfish.

@Salvijus theory is not Direct Experience, it sounds nice but it will never be true. Nirvana doesn't mean you're just gonna sit on the street and slowly die because you don't care about anything, if reality manifests as such then okay that's what is happening. Nirvana is like turning into a Lion, there's no fear of death, no suffering, but if you lunge at me I'll bite or run away right at that moment.

@Nos7algiK @Salvijus Nirvana is unconditional. There is no "if you were enlightened then you would ........" If you're gonna walk around naked or light yourself on fire to prove you're enlightened, then you may as well powder your face and start juggling ?.

After having awakenings, the layers of the onion of beliefs have begun peeling. Keep on peeling layer by layer by spotting current beliefs you hold and letting them go. In my experience the outer layers are philosophical contemplation and dogmatic thinking. The inner layers are the beliefs you hold about the nature of experience itself. In other words, great job and keep up the good work. ?

All addictive behaviors stem from fear, discover what fear is and boom, there is only love and all that doesn't serve you leaves gracefully. Notice that any excuse you make is coming from a place of fear. Notice that the attempt to "win the battle" over yourself with these addictions is coming from a place of fear.

@BipolarGrowth from my personal observations: The meaning of fear is that it is the essence of resistance. Fear is what causes the sense of separation, and because the fear causes the sense of self, it also doesn't want to stop itself. So fear causes the sense of self but it doesn't actually want to go away, the fear is afraid of not being afraid anymore. The physiological fear I refer to as just adrenaline and that's normal.

@Someone here the acceptance of suffering is a helpful first step, as it allows one to really look at what suffering is, and how they are creating it.

@gettoefl this is what meditation will destroy ^. And agreed, whatever works for you ?.

@gettoefl meditation is reality itself. That's why some teachers completely shit on any idea of being able to adopt a practice, this works for some people but I find most people benefit from a more pragmatic Shinzen Young type teacher.
