I feel for you buddy, I'm in a very very similar situation. I've had a low level of depression since I was small and every year it's just gotten worse. Everything I try fails. It actually feels kinda nice knowing others suffer like this too. My only piece of advice for you is to hang on. Things will change I promise you. We are all on a journey. Know that there is no up without down, no love without hate, no happiness without sadness. The pendulum will swing in the other direction guaranteed. The best people in this world, those that inspire millions have all gone through the toughest of times and they become stronger for it. Know that you are loved, no matter what. Loads of hugs! ♥️

@Nahm Yes you are right, but maybe Eckhart is a bad example. There are other people who became enlightened by just walking down the street or something. No prior exposure to mysticism, no introspection or anything of the kind. This brings to mind Leo's video on free will. At the highest level everything is god's will. So did god will this experience of sudden realization into being? Why, because god is an infinite artist experiencing his own creation? Just some thoughts. -

@Kksd74628 You are right, I'm not enlightened. What I meant was I became aware of how everything that "I" am is a story made up of beliefs. Awareness of ego. -

@WelcometoReality Yes, if I remember correctly he realized there was no me that could suffer and this lead to his awakening. Many people including myself have become aware of no self. Actually this is the first thing most people become aware of on their spiritual journeys. But for most this doesn't lead to a full awakening and actually the journey is just beginning. Maybe Eckhart Tolle was just more susceptible. -

@Salvijus I'm not sure I buy into the whole old soul, new soul business. In my opinion it's just another story humans spin. -

@catcat69123 This feeling is often described by many people who have survived suicide or had NDE's. I'm sorry you had to suffer so much in order to reach this realization. ♥️ I've actually been very depressed for many years and I keep hoping that someday through self actualization and self improvement I'll heal and maybe have that realization you had of everything having been here all along. Loads if hugs ? -
Would love anything to do with the subject.

If this war happens many people will die. Young people will die for the ideologies spun by old farts in power in their countries. I understand that many circumstances have led to this point and many interests are at play. I see that like Leo said in his videos this situation has become a force that no single person controls or has the power to stop. It is a reflection of the state of human consciousness. All this makes me very sad. ? It makes me sad that people are willing to kill each other. That we are unable to see our common humanity. That we are unable to work together and see past our perceived differences. I understand that like in WW2 at the end there is a potential for growth to arise from destruction. People will be shown their delusions and will be forced to drop belief structures. I just wish war wasn't the answer. -

I've always been deeply interested in these topics but through the years I've noticed people don't like talking about these topics. In some extreme cases it can even be dangerous such as the case of the decapitation of a French school teacher last year who dared to ask his students to question religion. Throughout the years I've stopped talking about these topics because most people just don't care. I've never had a single friend who I could openly talk about life, reality etc. It's actually quite a lonely existence. ? -

@Nahm Thank you so much! ♥️

So I've been really torn apart by this subject for a long time. Everywhere I look people keep saying that self love is key. To learn to talk to oneself with loving kindness in all situations. Even if you're wrong or wronged another one must learn to forgive oneself and learn from your mistakes. Yet every time when I try to practice loving kindness ( in moments of deep distress) I know that i'm in pain because I hurt someone and maybe they hurt me back. I understand that forgiving oneself for one's mistakes and learning from them is key to healing yet how do I deal with having hurt someone? The pain and guilt is still there. In this particular case I'm no longer in contact with the person and know that contacting them in order ask for forgiveness would not help either of us. Has anyone else faced a similar situation? How did you resolve this? Thank you! ♥️
-
@Yarco Thank you! No, I didn't hurt them fiscally or anything like that. I've tried all this self love and forgiveness but it just hasn't worked for me. I still blame myself for hurting them. I guess I'm still in the process understanding how to forgive. Thank you! ♥️
-
@Nahm We've both tried in the past to reconciliate but failed. Not contacting them is the only way I see for both us to not hurt each other again.

Recently I was given a psychological test for a job interview. On it where questions such as: how social are you? Do you enjoy social situations? Are you the life of the party? The options where only YES and NO. I answered honestly knowning that I´m not a very social person. However answering NO may not have been in my benefit. I´m a little torn by this. Do people often lie on such test? Should you make yourself seem more extroverted than you really are? I felt that being honest was best but I´m not so sure. What would you have done?

@Gianna Yes, in the west I think we are all so disconnected from each other. In third world countries families and villages stick together and are there for each other (the old African saying "It takes a village to raise a child"). In the west we traded religion for individualism and in the process lost community. People in developed countries, we are so disconnected from love and one another. Too afraid to open up to people. You are lucky if you can count on your hand the amount of friends you have let alone people who can listen to your most intimate stories and struggles...We suffer because we are ungrateful and totally unaware of how bad things can be and even if through self education and travel we see how others suffer we very quickly come back to ego and our comfort zones. Sending loads of hugs to everyone here! ♥️
