WokeBloke replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Mason Riggle It is itself. It's nature is as it is. It did not determine it's original nature. It did not determine to exist but it determines what happens. -

@Mason Riggle "Organisms make choices, but they don't choose what choices they make." That sentence makes no sense. To make a choice is to choose your choice. You can't make a choice without choosing. You are presented with 3 options. You choose option 1. You choose to choose option 1. Actions only happen because you do them. -
The source of all words is no word. This nonverbal being exists otherwise this sentence would not exist. This no word calls itself consciousness, awareness, nothing, something, God, source, being, etc. It refers to itself using the pronoun "I". If I identify as any word I am in delusion. Transcend all verbal identities for you are not them.

Essentially the movement is from relative unconsciousness to relative consciousness. This is a journey with no final destination in sight. Essentially how aware you are of yourself plays a huge role in your state of being. I see "enlightenment" as a halt in progress. I personally don't recommend trying to become enlightened because then you'll hit an arbitrary wall that you made. In truth there is no final enlightenment just deeper enlightenment in my view. You and I are the same consciousness but at different levels of self knowing in my view. The unconscious is infinite. What you and I are conscious of is but a drop in an infinite ocean. Consciousness is like a bottomless ocean. You can't reach the end of yourself if you are truly immortal.

WokeBloke replied to Muhammad Jawad's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Muhammad Jawad Prior to the thought being created it did not exist. How can that which does not exist create itself? -
WokeBloke replied to Muhammad Jawad's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Muhammad Jawad What is the source of thoughts? There can't be a creation without a creator isn't it? -

@Muhammad Jawad What thinks I am? What uses the word I? -

Grab your phone. Notice it is a part of your experience. Does your phone (the experience) see your phone or does something else see the phone? Keep in mind the phone doesn't have eyes. -

@The0Self existence or you doesn't arise. You don't come or go. Your bring your creations (such as your posts) into existence. Whatever you create is what happens. -

Personally I would recommend listening to Sadhguru. Ultimately whether you think you are responsible for your actions or not you will be the one that suffers the consequences so it's best to take charge of your body and mind if you are capable. -

It's a reference to that which reads and responds to my post. Call it awareness or consciousness if you like. -

Only you are responsible for your actions. There is no separate self preforming your actions. -

You can't imagine your own existence without existing. I agree that self is mysterious to itself. -

Could you expand on your reasoning? -

@Adamq8 Thank you for this post. First mover and only mover. That so-called God determines everything including this post being written and your response and so forth. -
Its essentially like I'm locked out of my own life because I can't convince myself that I am the only one that is aware of the experience. I say "the subject is experiencing" but I also think there could be a separate subject that is aware of the experience and I can't logically disprove this. I can't prove that the subject is both experiencing and creating its experience. I think that there may be two beings involved. One that is creating the experience and one that is forcing a separate subject to experience it. Think of a situation where the director makes the movie and the moviegoer experiences the movie that the director made except in this case the victim subject is being forced to watch the movie that the devil creator made. How do I see through this?

"The thinker" is a reference to the source of thoughts by the source of thoughts. Only the thinker can think. Or in other words only the source of thoughts can generate thoughts. Thus when you think "I do not think these thoughts" you are actually deceiving yourself. Notice what is going on here... 1. The source of thoughts generated the thought "I do not think this" In this context the user of the word "I" is the source of thoughts itself. It is referring to itself using the "I" reference. 2. Thus this is equivalent to saying "the source of thoughts did not create this thought" which is false because ONLY the source of thoughts creates this thought. Also "there is no thinker" is also deception because that's just the thinker thinking there is no thinker. You are responsible for all of your thoughts. Only the source of thoughts can deny this but of course that would just mean you are delusional and I pray to God you don't try to convince more people that they aren't responsible for their thoughts.

Only the source of creation determines what happens. It is deterministic by nature in my view. -

Technically speaking the cloud in the sky that you see is just an experience that you are generating within yourself. You are responsible for generating that experience. -

What do you identify as? -
WokeBloke replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@axiom I explicitly claim to not be my thoughts. I am no thought. I am just claiming that I generate my thoughts. Brain activity is what the functioning of consciousness looks like when examined by itself. You don't consciously control your brain but ultimately you are responsible for everything your brain does. -

You keep thinking but you also keep denying that you are thinking. You are not separate from yourself. Thinking is what you are doing (either consciously or compulsively) not what you are. -
WokeBloke replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
This is false. In the absence of thinking I remain. Stop thinking for a second and pinch yourself hard. You will notice that you still exist without thoughts. Creations can't create themselves. By suggesting that thoughts bring themselves into existence you are suggesting that something that does not exist gives birth to itself. Thoughts do not exist until they are created by you (no-thought). That which does not exist can't create itself because it doesn't exist to create itself. -
WokeBloke replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The source of thoughts is nonverbal. It exists hence there are thoughts. You either notice that only you can think and thus only you are responsible or you deny that you are thinking by thinking that you don't think. -
WokeBloke replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
No creation can exist without a source. The foundation is an axiomatic fact.
