  1. Keep in mind this is coming from someone who is in suffering. One is not always suffering thus there must be a way out of suffering.
  2. Me land. Where everybody is me. Just think everybody says I and me. Probably the same one saying me and I over and over again. One changing I.
  3. Nothing which obviously isn't "just nothing" since it can create this is one completely unified and alone thing (God/I). Onething created everything and everybody is this onething.
  4. Another way of putting this is that thoughts are not aware. So every thought that you see on this forum has no life of its own. Perhaps this is obvious but when you read all of these thoughts notice they were all created. They are not the creator. They come from the creator. There is a source of all thoughts. And notice that you are that very source.
  5. Been thinking about the Descartes's Demon problem for a while. Trying to prove to myself that I am the source of my body's actions. I still continue to generate this idea that my experience could be generated by a malicious God. Essentially the thought is I am not in control of my body but rather I am being controlled by an outside force. Just want to hear your thoughts on this. Hopefully it will help me think about it more deeply.
  6. Of course its a thought. But since I am still there when there is no thought I must not be a thought. (The silence between thoughts). At least that's what I think lol. I must be beyond thought though because I can see and thoughts don't have eyes. As for dreams that in my opinion is the creation of my human brain. No human body = no dreams since dreams occur to human bodies. Lol the point is I have very little clue what is going on.
  7. the maker of thoughts. Also I would say I am the body perceiving the body. Wherever the body goes is where I go. As far as I am concerned I am only the non conceptual body (that which the word body refers to) since its all I know (or hopefully everybody). Everything else is just conceptual identity.
  8. I am definitely not a thought. You'll have to see my body. Experiencing being a thought is like experiencing being a birthday card. There is no experience for a birthday card.
  9. Another thing to add to the conversation. Thoughts do not experience anything. Thoughts are dead.
  10. Well from my perspective I have no idea what the demon is doing since it would be infinitely more powerful than me and I only have my own experience that it is creating for me. Presumably it would care about not being controlled by a higher God.
  11. But maybe the devil is giving me the illusion that I can change my mind
  12. Human beings will continue to communicate with language until the end of humanity. Best we all get on the same page. Words are used to refer and talk about collectively experienced things. The word is simply a sound associated with an experiential phenomenon. That which the word points to is never a word. Future humans must be able to use language but not be trapped by it.
  13. There is a fundamental difference between the two. In waking life you are every human/animal. In dreams you are only the fictional character that you generate and not the other characters in the dream. This is a critical difference. Human bodies create human bodies. Those human bodies create dreams for themselves almost every night from body birth to body death.
  14. True every dream is different yet still those people in your dreams are creations of your mind as opposed to the people one perceives in the waking state which are the very creator. Which book are you referring to by the way?
  15. If that were the case then there isn't oneness lol. Also how could you be the people in your dreams? They are just creations of the human mind and have zero consistency or logic. Dreams are all over the place. Waking state is consistent.
  16. What proof do you have that you are the people in your dreams?
  17. I have no disagreement that you are completely alone. Where I disagree is that dreams and waking life are completely different creations. The fundamental difference is I am the human beings on this planet. I am not the people in human beings dreams.
  18. Why do you think you are the people in your dreams? The whole dream revolves around your imaginary character. In this way the other characters have no will of their own.
  19. I outlined the difference. I am not the people in my dreams. I am the people in waking life. -50 degrees is not 150 degrees.
  20. This is the last time I will post this on this forum. Your past is not an illusion. It influences your entire life.
  21. So you are the people in your dreams?
  22. Yeah I agree same source but fundamentally different creations. Dreams occur within life.
  23. This is a tricky subject. My opinion is one can not understand psychedelics fully without actually taking them. Psychedelics are fundamentally different drugs than alcohol, smoking, meth, etc. I saw psychedelics cure my father's alcoholism and I am seeing the difference they are making in my family's life. So at the end of the day the true guru must try everything or else he/she is not a guru. Has Sadhguru and Ramana Maharshi taken billions of hits of acid? They probably have taken lots and lots but I personally don't think they have taken every psychedelic they will ever take.
  24. I would say the thoughts are the creator talking to itself. Thinking isn't always bad. Personally I'm not trying to get rid of thinking but rather improve it. As you said learning how to think and how to stop thinking are very important. It can be used to help in my opinion.
