Your wants do not have wants. This implies that there is a wanter!

Can you prove or try to convince me that you are seeing/experiencing my post and that I am not living in a world with scripted machines. Thank you

I'm trying to make a verbal proof for myself that the body (I) produces the thoughts. So I just have some questions I want to see how people define these words. 1. Do you regard this sentence to be a thought or would you call this something different? In other words is it only a thought if it is not spoken/written? 2. Do random sounds inside your mind (for lack of a better word) constitute a thought? Ex. if you produced garbagunk in your mind would you consider that a thought? 3. Does a thought have to consist of words? 4. Are all words thoughts? 5. What if you said "a" to yourself. Do you consider that to be a thought? And if you have any other comments about thoughts before I begin I would love to hear them. Thank you very much.

I would like to suggest the idea of an unchanging awareness or unchanging consciousness is a delusion and no such thing exists. Go back to a photo of your 10 year old self and really look at the difference between that body (you use to be that body) and your current body. How can there possibly be an unchanging awareness when change is all there is. If you were to be reverted back to the 10 year old self then I think you would clearly say that fundamentally you have changed not just conceptually. Because of this I propose that saying everybody has the same awareness is false because this would imply there is no change. Rather this word is being used to refer to our own state of being and we think that its the same for everybody else. Awareness probably refers to something completely different for you then it does for me. Its like the word tree. Its a single word but there are millions of different types of trees. Similarly there is one word for awareness but billions of different versions of awareness.

I argue that the body is the perceiver. perceiver (body) can perceive the body with its body. Likewise when I see people in the street I am perceiving the perceiver (AKA myself) -
I see so many posts saying I am consciousness! I am nothing! I am awareness! This is simply identification with words. You are literally thinking that you are some word. You are NOT a word thus if you try to define what you are in words you always miss the mark in my opinion.

I would say I am aware of the form with and as the form. Or the form is aware of itself. -

This is my self inquiry. I am inquiring into my self (you). Can't be yes and no. You actually were that body you just don't want to accept it because all these people have tried to convince you that you don't have a past. Your memories are a result of having once been that body. Just like you are the body you are now you soon will no longer be this body but you were once this body and that will forever be written in your karma. At this very moment you are generating more past just by being present. -

If we accept the definitions we can continue. eyes refer to what is shown below. Now is the body closing its eyes or is a conceptual formless awareness closing its eyes? -

I never said I'm in the body. I say I am the body. Not separate form it. Also you are seeing with your body. Close your eyes and no seeing. Open your eyes and you see. It is precisely because you have eyes which are a part of your body that you see. Also it is the body that is seeing. Look at people in the world. All there is to them is their bodies and they see you with their bodies. form is perceived by form. -

The feeling is constantly changing. There is no unchanging I only a changing I. Your feeling of what you are and my feeling are completely different. You are not a feeling you are that which feels. -

Are you not seeing everything with your body? -

My exact point is that an unchanging self is a delusion. There is no formless me since I am the changing form. Or I could say the formless me is evolving/changing by being form. Form can't be separated from formless. I admit my view could be wrong but I notice that I am the form and am not separate from it. -

Lol no sorry I don't get the three cups reference. I don't believe the thought is perception. I know the word simply refers to something that I perceive. I look around and I perceive what I CALL change. I perceive what I call old people and young people. The word refers to something real that I perceive though. And baby to old person is called change or transformation but certainly not No change. -

The pointer is for people that are trying to put what they are into words. Never will I be a word and thus I am not consciousness. -

Actually I am specifically this changing body and nothing else right now. I am not limited to this body since I am changing. You're right I don't know fully (or even close to fully) what I am but I know I am definitely changing. Also all we have to examine reality is our bodies. You simply are not beyond your body. You can keep transcending it but you are what you are right now and nothing more and nothing less. -

You are not separate from the changing form. Thus whatever the form becomes is what you become. The formless is changing. As far as I can tell there isn't a formlessness that is aloof from the changing form. If there was truly no change then you could say you are unchanging but since you are changing you can't say that you are unchanging in my opinion. And that's a good thing in my view because it means you can evolve forever. -

It's definitely a thought. It may not be true but let's examine. Take a soccer ball that is changing position. It would be illogical to say that ball is changing position and also not changing position. Or take a child that is growing. It would be illogical to say the child is growing and also not growing. Thus I say it is not possible for something to be changing and also not changing since those are two completely different things. -

It means different things to different people. Your way of meditating and my way of meditating is different. Yet the idea that you are meditating is just a thought. You say there is no change. Please look at the world. You are headed straight for old age. Please look at the old people of this world and tell me they haven't changed with a straight face. Change is truly all there is. -

I agree they are both referring to the same thing namely temperature which is a continuum. Still my point remains that it cant be hot and cold simultaneously. There can't be change and no change simultaneously. -
WokeBloke replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Meditation is also a thought actually Both refer to real processes. -

You say you transcended change yet all you do is change
