No it's God asking the question if there is only god. You claim you are God yet you can't create a refrigerator right now. -

You can only do what you are capable of doing. -

If one does not have the ability to do something at this very instant (such as generating a new planet) then one can not claim to be unlimited and all powerful. -

You talk of an unlimited state that you have no access to. That's just your imagination. -
If you think I am just in your head then your world view is false and you are living in delusion!

My view: 1. Perceptions are not the perceiver. 2. Perceptions are known/perceived by the perceiver. 3. All experience is perception. There is no experience that is not some form of perception (vision, touch, sound, taste, smell, thought, etc.). 4. It is impossible to perceive a non-perception (perceiver). 5. Therefore there is no-one (including the perceiver) that can perceive the perceiver of reality. It is like the eyeball trying to see itself (without a mirror).

Self is non-dual meaning not two. More specifically self is singular. Each self (if there are many) is one self. Also in this context self refers to awareness. I do not understand why people say that non-duality means that there aren't differences or contrast within reality. Oneness does not mean everything is the same. It just means everything is a part of one reality. I think saying there are no differences is equivalent to saying all languages or words are the same.

this isn't about whether everything is separate it's about if there are different things. Take these two words: apple and tomato Are these two words the same or diferent? -

@Bazooka Jesus I just want to know if you think a banana and a house are the same. Then I will drop the words. -

What's your answer? -
WokeBloke replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
There's no separation doesn't equate to there being no differences. One could say in reality there is change and there are differences. The proof is that experience contains innumerable differences and is always changing. Duality is in oneness. -

So you think a banana and a house are the same thing? -

@Shambhu I would say they are a creation of my mind but it seems my mind is capable of creating many different things. Or I could say all of my dreams are different. Personally I don't subscribe to the unchanging reality idea. I admit I could be completely wrong but it seems to me reality is changing and deathless as opposed to unchanging. At the very least it is both changing and unchanging simultaneously. And I agree the creator can only create from itself but the creator is capable of creating differences. The only thing the creator can't create is another creator. -

When you use the word imagine what exactly do you mean? Are you consciously creating my post? -
WokeBloke replied to WokeBloke's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I fundamentally disagree. A computer is not a banana and will never be a banana. -

Are light, sound, sensation, and thought different or the same in your view? Just because the differences are impermanent does not make them unreal in my opinion. Your post and my post are different. The diversity of experience is an aspect of reality and no less real then the awareness of it albeit impermanent. Your changing and multifaceted experience is your reality is it not? Or I could say there is one creator and many creations. -
There is the car (the body) There are the other cars (the other bodies) There is the highway (the world) There is the gas (desire) - Without gas the car can not move. Similarly without desire you do nothing (even that is your desire though). So you sort of have infinite gas (at least until you die which may never happen). There is the driver (you/I - also called awareness, consciousness, creator, subject, life, or expereincer). Each of these aspects of reality are at play but each one can't be reduced to the other. You drive your car according to your desire while simultaneously navigating the complex world which consists of other drivers doing the same thing. Or perhaps the same driver

This sentence which is a creation did not type itself. Thus it is not the creator.

Do you have free will? My take is this: One is free to do whatever one wants barring physical limitations Your body and mind are your only limitations (also immense possibilities).

So what would be your answer to help me arrive at your understanding? -
WokeBloke replied to Mirror's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
The interpretation is not the interpreted. So don't take people's interpretations too seriously. Think for yourself. -
In your view what does being aware refer to? Does it refer to this experience or your sense of being? Or are you aware of those? Is there really an awareness? Or is it a false claim to say "I am aware"?

Essentially you are suggesting that no matter what you do you will end up back here. However, all actions take you further away from here. To repeat this life forever would mean that you are eternal. If this is the case then when you reach body death you would have to preform the same actions you just did. Why would you do this? -

no he said this is the 84th universe (different from the previous universes) The 112th universe according to him will be a purely nonphysical universe
