After realising that life is a dream and other people are merely dream characters or figments of my imagination, I noticed nothing changed in their behaviour. They are still acting according to charachters they used to play in my life. I understand It had sense when I was asleep but now that I'm awake I don't have any more reasons to fool myself into thinking I'm living a regular human life and that I'm not all alone. Should I just play along or do something about it?

I'm not suggesting solipsism, that would mean your ego is real which is not the case. Ultimately, awakening should include God realisation and then you'll come to the conclusion that all those enlightened persons were actually dreamed/imagined by You. -

How can you be sure they are real people who got enlightened and not just lines of text appearing on your screen? I'm not saying that's true, I'm just asking you to take that option into consideration. Maybe it's only God playing games with itself. -

What do I need to do to dissolve it completely? -
Chosen people is a term associated with the Jewish people. It's expressed in the idea that they have been chosen by God as his special people. The term implies that the Jewish people have been chosen by God to worship only him and to fulfill the mission of proclaiming his truth among all the nations of the world. Tikkun olam is the idea that Jews bear responsibility not only for their own moral, spiritual, and material welfare, but also for the welfare of society at large. Is there any truth in all of this or is it just a religious concept with no real meaning?

Why would you say that? They have the highest average IQ in the world and highest number of Nobel prize winners compared to their share in world population. Why do you think it's impossible that God created them with a special role in this dream? It wouldn't be a surprise that some dream characters have different roles than others. -

If you want to use that analogy, I can say that I fell like I realized that Santa Claus doesn't exist but my parents still bring me present and say that it was him. -

@SriSriJustinBieber I know what you're saying, I realise God made everything perfect so far to keep me asleep but now that I've awaken, I feel like I should go to another level where people behave differently. Hope I will. There is still lots of work ahead of me. -

Nothing exists out of your direct experience so I would say it's happening inside nothingness. -
Relatively speaking this forum is a couple of years old but if time is an illusion that would mean all topics with older dates actually exist in the now and posts inside of them are created the moment I open them and start reading it. Does that mean this entire forum came into existence just now?

@Someone here Past only exists as memories in the now. It had no real existence. I'm imagining it in the present moment. In that way you can say that time is an illusion. -

Can you explain in more detail? -

I guess this option is ego's wet dream but it has its problems as you mentioned. Deteriorating health seems like a serious issue. Maybe there's no aging because time doesn't pass. -
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_suicide_and_immortality In this thought experiment, each time we have a experience that can result in our death, universe splits into two - in one of them you survive and in other you die. You continue living in the first universe because you can't be conscious of being dead in the second one. Is this closest that science came to explaining the possibility of eternal life?

But if time is an illusion, how could there exist a past in which I was unaware of this forum? -
Tyler Durden replied to Tyler Durden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
So it existed for couple of years without ever being in my direct experience? -

One interpretation of quantum mechanics also deals with this idea. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Many-worlds_interpretation -

But I don't feel satisfied with others and interactions with them. It all feels so fake knowing the truth. Every emotion they are expressing towards me doesn't seem genuine anymore. -

Interesting perspective. So to say that this forum existed forever/just came into existence are both equally valid. Last thursdayism is not wrong after all. Only the day is not last thursday but now ? -

I was thinking the same thing. When I don't see someone for some time, they cease to exist just like when they die. The only difference is that you can call or text them so you can keep in touch even though they are nothing more than sound/words in that moment. That keeps the illusion that they are still present in your life. -
I know that death is an illusion and my True Self will never die but I know people around me will eventually disappear from existence forever. They are no different than characters in my night dreams but somehow I view them as something more than that. I got really attached to some of them and thought of losing them makes me sad. How to deal with that feeling and find a way to accept it?

Yes, I'm aware of that. I was just hoping change in my perception will also change behaviour or "others" because I no longer need them to act the way they used to. Because they are me and if I woke up then their roles should change accordingly. -
Tyler Durden replied to Tyler Durden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
@Vibroverse So basically God decides to stop animating their bodies and returns their life energy back to the Source? @Chris365 I still have to achieve that level. I'm currently bound by my human emotions. Have to transcend all of that. -
Tyler Durden replied to impulse9's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
Maybe God just wants to make the process of remembering who it is more difficult. -
Tyler Durden replied to Tyler Durden's topic in Spirituality, Consciousness, Awakening, Mysticism, Meditation, God
I don't deny that. I just think God maybe uses it to make the process of rediscovering itself more interesting. That's why it put certain numbers in nature's patterns and religious texts for us to find and get closer to our true self.
