In my opinion when you're trying to be something, even if it's trying to be what you think is yourself then that's not your true self. Your true self emerges when you don't try and be anything, you give up trying. Meditation is a practice of this, it gets your brain used to be non reactive

It does exist I think, but the usual form it takes is the guy initially likes the girl when he first meets but he messes up in some way, either taking to long to make his intentions clear, not having much game or being to nice in a friendship way without any kind of flirting or signs to the girl. Attraction for girls can in most cases have an expiry date, a girl will automatically reject you if she feels you have rejected her (she can think this just by you not being clear). So if this is happens your only option as a guy is the friendship aspect which doesn't mean it's completely off the table to get with her but it's not really in your hands anymore. So best thing to do is make your intentions clear from the start (not gonna go into how to do this but read up on game etc) if she rejects you then you know where you stand and maybe you may have the chance to be friends with her or not, I would choose not personally but either way you know what's going on. If she likes you then that's all good and go from there. The confusion just comes in your intentions if you're not sure then don't expect her to be

@cnorhistorian I agree to a certain extent, I think ultimately enlightenment is literally accepting everything for what it is including the fact that there are no definite answers. A lot of times you can get caught in mental traps where you feel like you're working toward something or some kind of conclusion when really there is no conclusion just a continuation of the process. I like Leo's videos as he does touch on topics that are not really being discussed and whether he's getting paid or not I think it's important to put these ideas into people's consciousness even if it's just a starting point. To that extent especially if there can be some appeal in the western world as the western world probably has the least understanding of these concepts but also the most power which is obviously not working out for the planet

For example, and this is something I'm struggling a little with at the moment, but say for example a thought keeps popping up in your head that you don't like. You can say to yourself I'm gonna get rid of this thought I'm gonna debate it, I'm gonna consciously ignore it, I'm gonna distract myself from it, but actually any resistance you give to it actually traps it and gives more focus to it. Whereas if you do nothing and have no resistance to it, it will eventually flow through you like a cloud. I think that's the whole point we don't actually have any control and to experience enlightenment you have to fully let go, setting goals or trying to consciously let go is really just holding on tighter -

It's really hard to get your head around this, in fact it's impossible because anything created in your mind is just a concept and doesn't exist, so any attempt to understand it would be an illusion. Also in a practical sense there is nothing you can do to be enlightened because by doing something in attempt to achieve something in the illusion of the future woukd specifically take you out of the present and therefore put of pure being. You can't become something you already are and technically there's not even anything to realise, because anything understood on a mental level isn't real. Most enlightened figures say that when they gave up trying is when they became enlightened. I think that's the whole point, you just need to be and let whatever comes flow through you, rather than setting some concept that if you do a,b and c it will lead to enlightenment -
Hey Samir, I think to an extent everyone is in the same boat, essentially we can't KNOW what are path is its more something we have to let happen and experience. What we tend to do is try and find it in our mind and think about it constantly and this actually distracts us from it. To get to you have to listen to your body, the signals that it gives, for example there maybe something in the back of your head thats niggling you to do it, could be travel, could be you want to learn something whatever. But what happens is you shut it out because of fear or self limiting expectations. To get to your path you have to get to your true self and that means facing yourself and getting past the fear, then things will become clearer. Things like meditation can help but also just being 100% honest with yourself
