The important question is: will the answer to this question truly enrich my life somehow? -

So you don’t believe in all this “stop resisting” talk to transcend suffering ? -

It seems the opening you talk about is a decrease in “resistance”, that one of our mechanisms that keep us closed is our tendency to resist -
I know you thought something like that
-
It’s not always so easy to figure out why something is being said
-
You can’t just promise something like that. You don’t know that
-
Absolutely. I have countless suicidal thoughts. I don’t understand how people stay strong. I do it for one sec and then it crumbles and I’m ready to off myself again because I feel I can’t handle life

Eckhart Tolle was asked what he thinks about alcohol. And he said something along the lines of how if your state of consciousness is so fragile it’s affected by a few drinks then it’s nothing high (something like that) and I think a correlation could be drawn to sex. If you develop a solid high state of consciousness and mysticism, a little sexual desire and sex here and there shouldn’t be enough to wreck it if it’s really stable in you

Hahah it’s funny

You sound reasonable and normal. Yea I don’t really have good tips but just you’ll have to figure out what feels most worth it for you to do. You’re not alone with feeling an urge to explore others outside your relationship because the person you’re with affects your experience so it’s normal to want different types of experiences. You’re young too so it might feel too early to settle down and you might wanna explore yourself and others more. It can be tricky but it’s important to be honest with oneself full heartedly about one’s desires which it seems you are, because you don’t wanna be living in a lie, in denial of your true desires

It was nothing special 😂😂😂😂

What I’m going to say is coming from a virgin so it’s to be taken with a grain of salt😂 Maybe figure out how your attraction works for you. Are you someone that values physical appearance in attraction a lot or are you more oriented towards personality or a nice mixture of both? You specified “physical” type so I’m guessing you’re talking about appearance. If you find you tend to be really attracted to a particular appearance and it makes you extra horny it could be worth exploring. An example could be how some guys are very looks oriented, seems so more than women are, so they genuinely can have a more ecstatic experience if they sleep with a bombshell vs a more average woman. So if that’s you then maybe it’s worth going for it. You’d have to weigh in your mind what feels most important to you, exploration or your current relationship. Or communicate this to your partner and see if they’re open to have something more open LOL maybe that is not something you’d want

@Schizophonia I mean that as you say in infinity there’s probably a lot of things happening at once so in some dimension of reality there exist valentinE and me doing lesbian things

I might start exploring what my mind does when I suffer to see if there is a difference. It seems resistance is deeply unconscious so it can be very hard identify and undo, it’s like we are working against our biology because we are wired to resist pain and mental suffering. Shutting the mind is hard . We can do it by focusing directly on a sense perception for example pain, or like breathing in meditation. Then you gotta return to it over and over when you get sucked back into mind. -

Yea who knows what is true. I agree with him I’ve always since young age been very disturbed by all the suffering that exists. Recently I’ve been introduced to the idea about how resistance contributes to or even causes the suffering. Shinzen young talks about it. It’s a tough pill to swallow but it would be cool if there exists legit ways to overcome suffering. That’s everyone’s goal at the end of the day as humans in this form. -

I think physical pain can be equally as bad as mental, just depends on the degree. Yea it’s best to try to heal it. But in cases it can’t be healed the possibility of transcendence/acceptance can be explored. I recently saw a YouTube video of a guy with trigeminal neuralgia aka “suicide disease “ (one of the most painful conditions) who transcended his suffering through extreme mindfulness practice. It’s incredible but the caveat seems to be that it’s very difficult to attain. Shinzen young whom he studied talks about it -

I am member in forums where people vent about their diseases and pain. So it seems those that claim they’re not suffering are exceptions. I try to have open mind to possibility of transcending pain but it seems extremely difficult to do.
