  1. I agree that raising consciousness is related to dissolving the ego. It goes hand in hand. Also self awareness. So the more self aware you are the more “conscious” you are I think.
  2. Interesting. Still somewhat vague though
  3. I heard from Eckhart Tolle this exercise of body scanning. So while you’re going to sleep you focus your attention on different body parts one by one, then you end it with your whole body at once, and you should feel the energy of your body. I also did this thing don’t know where I heard it from, where I put like ridiculous amounts of alarms throughout the day, to each time stop, close my eyes and breathe deeply while focusing on my breath as a sort of short meditation. This is not doable though if you’re at work etc. You could just skip the alarms though and just do it as many times you remember to. edit: now that I read your title again where you said “not spiritual” I thought maybe my answer was spiritual oh my fault ..😅
  4. ”raisin” lol jokes aside, I would ask that question too. Seriously. Seems nobody can answer it
  5. Agreed. That’s my idea of enlightenment too
  6. Depends on the context. If someone puts a gun to my head right now yes I will be afraid, but I think I’m just afraid of the process of dying if it would be painful. I don’t think I’m afraid of death in itself
  7. I think enlightenment is permanent no self. So in that sense it’s a thing. Maybe I could say it’s something unknown, because the self can’t know the end of itself so it’s like you want something that you don’t know what it is. Basically it’s like it’s different from all other desires for defined objects
  8. Pursuing by doing spiritual practice. As I said before it’s a bit tricky because enlightenment is not a “thing”
  9. I still wanna begin pursuing enlightenment
  10. It’s a bit tricky there because in a sense you can’t want enlightenment because it’s not a “thing”
  11. It can be slightly hard to comprehend sometimes but it’s still good writing indeed you have an interesting perspective. I can tell you’ve gone deep into this. Thank you
  12. Yea but it still seems like there’s an I looking..
  13. My mind says “right here”. That is a thought , but there’s something that is not a thought, my mind says again. It’s like this contracted sense of I’m here in the skull looking out from my eyes
  14. It can be discouraging to hear . But I still think it’s worth pursuing if one wants it
