  1. @TRzed Self inquiry 101: What remains when you remove all thoughts/memories of yourself?
  2. @TRzed nothing wrong with that. Strange loops can be fun too! Like a never ending roller coaster ride. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Self inquiry, meditation, contemplation. What is true for you in your direct experience? Find out.
  4. @TRzed We know what your going through. It's all just conceptual as of now and the mind wants proof before it continues any further.
  5. @TRzed Allow to rephrase. When was the last time you looked beyond all minds?
  6. @TRzed When was the last time you looked outside of your mind to see what is there?
  7. @Highest I like to add that when you meet the right person you'll know it without a doubt. You'll feel the truth of it. Like you've known each other forever. Look for that.
  8. @Highest Meeting someone/spending time with them and living together are two different things. Just keep that in mind. More then once I've gone out with someone and we got along really great but when we started living together it became a total disaster.
  9. @Highest Was thinking the same thing here too. Found this on that very subject.
  10. @Highest Yea it feels as if God is looking throught your eyes. know exactly what your talking about. Call it "God's Eyes". All separation between the "outside" and "inside" worlds collapse into one and the entire universe becomes your home. It would happen once in a while around age 4 - 5. Then it became lost for years but I never forgot about it. Years later it started happening again and it was like "hello old friend".
  11. @Jed Vassallo What seems questionable is that it's a publication based soley on digging up dirt on guru's. Without a news story it wouldn't be much of a publication.
  12. @moon777light Just for an example the other day I was pealing potatos (boring job) and the question just comes "who is pealing what potatos?" Then the inquiry starts working it's magic.
  13. Sounds good man. When you do a day of meditation try this practice at some point along the way. You may find it highly effective. Just the fact that you are watching your thoughts is a huge step in the right direction. It's surprising how many ppl go through an entire life never questioning what are thoughts or where do thoughts come from. Try taking that one step further. Not only observe thoughts as they arise but follow them back to their very source. This is where you will discover the ground state of being. The infinite nothingness. Have fun!
  14. If your serious about enlightenment by all means seek all the help you need. That's what the forum's for. Btw Leo is doing a grueling 30 day intensive. Show some respect for that.
  15. @28 cm unbuffed Seems your creating topics just to amuse yourself. By the way your topic reads says your not very serious about this so for you yes enlightenment will forever be just a fairy tale. I'd suggest you leave now and don't waist any more of your time here or that of others.
  16. @Godheals Enlightenment is a lot like Where's Waldo. You search all over the place for Waldo until you finally come to the realization that Waldo is the whole picture.
  17. @Godheals The fastest short cut on the path to enlightenment is the realization that there is no destination other then the one you create.
  18. @Conceptually-made I'd just like to say good you for seeing this crossroads in life and seriously contemplating which direction to take. It's all about what is right in the long run and you've got a great start on it! Just for your consideration. The neurofeedback/biofeedback field.
  19. Lots of times self inquiry comes when I least expect it so it can be anywhere doing anything.
  20. Maybe you take it too literally? Besides, if your part of the dream who is there to be "punished"? The only exception would be when the dream starts to believe it's real and takes on a life of it's own. Then it often punishes itself (suffers) because it is detached from God. But maybe that's just me being one of Gods infinite dreams.
  21. Existance is God dreaming an infinite dream and you are in it.
  22. @Aaron p Was just listening to Nisargadatta and heard some interesting quotes. "Being is temporary. Non being is a bottomless ocean of bliss" "When there is deep sleep there is no beingness. When you are awake try to catch hold of that same state "
  23. @Mikael89 @Joseph Maynor Cut it out both of you. Your going to turn this thread into a "Hot Topic" again with your bickering.
  24. This thread and it's antics has no value to it what-so-ever. Locking it.
