Transcendence of ego.

Why is it when most ppl hear "life is an illusion" their first thought is "Why should I do anything?" Why is it never- "I can do anything!" ?

Seen it. A perfect example of an enlightened ego. Enlightened just enough to be dangerous.

On the lotus sits Brahma, the creator. Brahma opens his eyes, and a world comes into being, - You are Brahma the creator.

That would be an accurate assessment.
