  1. @Ruby White A friend of mine had a book about Atlantis that was written (if I remember correctly) in the 1800's. I need to research exactly what book that was. The author had full recollection of being there. Amazing the similarities of what he describes as Atlantis in comparison to the modern world of today. Who knows what knowledge is yet to be found that has been lost.
  2. @Ruby White Just wondering. What do you think about Edgar Cayce? I was intrigued by the man (and the subject) early on when my exploration into alternate planes of consciousness first started. I had a lot of Daja Vu (and similar type) experiences at a young age so that's what sparked my interest in the subject.
  3. I had a friend who did trip in the woods and thought he could creep up on the bears.
  4. @Mike Rivers The teaching which destroys the individual is exactly what the individual seeks. Nisargadatta Who are you working so hard for?
  5. @saint_charming7 You posted this 20 mins. ago. You could have added 20 mins. to your meditation instead. One more reply and there's your hour.
  6. Haha That was coming next. It is all you. What was it that William James said about "the filmiest of screens'?
  7. @Jamie Universe Hi. That was a type of Samadhi experience you probably had. Union. It felt as if God was looking through your eyes?
  8. @tatsumaru Have a pure- still mind and you will be it.
  9. @Faceless A guru is not someone who teaches things. That is a misconception. A guru is a doorway. The same can be with books.
  10. @egoless Where can anyone really go? Put your right arm out to the side. You reached into what is you.
  11. @tatsumaru Clear light is a pure- refined-intelligent light energy beyond the ordinary raw 'white' light that comes from the Sun. It drives everything in existence and is at the very core of it all. Don't think of as anything like the light energy you know. Think of it this way, everything in existence is made of one underlying "fabric", that would be clear light..
  12. @snowleopard I was pointing to the forum as a microcosm of the planet. IMO if we were all truly enlightened here harmony would be spontaneous/effortless not tedious. In the vastness of this entire universe there has got to worlds that live in peace somewhere. We're just not one of em'. But we try none the less. Hence this forum. "Let him who would move the world, first move himself" Where do I know that from?
  13. Even if everyone on the forum was enlightened, there would still not be peace on the forum.
  14. @Dan Arnautu This is off the subject but are you familiar with Calum Graham? He's got a bit of a different style to his playing.
  15. @Dan Arnautu I never used a link before. Not sure how to. Page 2- 4th topic from the bottom you can find it.
  16. @Dan Arnautu did you check out @Azrael's Anchor post yet?
  17. @Driven62 You gotta let go and trust. What are fears? Imaginary projections into the future, right? Illusions. Or give naked sky diving a try. Face fear and humiliation all at the same time by jumping out of a plane bare ass at 10,000 ft. That should cure you quick!
  18. @Nexeternity Wow, for whatever it's worth, I just got done listening to Across the universe and Let it be. Synchronicity?
  19. That's your job to figure out what that is and deconstruct it. But if you really want to cut to the chase. It's all of it. He who thinks he knows where he is standing- is in trouble.
  20. Allen Watts: The system as a whole appears to be a distribution of solid entities or modes of energy in the midst of emptiness or space. Human consciousness preoccupies itself with these entities, and virtually ignores their spatial background. We consider it "nothing" in the sense of that which has neither importance nor significance, forgetting that without the spatial field, none of these entities could be manifested or distinguished. There is, however, between space and entity the same polar relationship as between crest and trough, for which reason "nothingness" is not simply the contrary or absence of "being", but rather its ground and origin. We believe so firmly in the maxim "ex nihilo nihil fit" – "nothing can come out of nothing" – that it is almost impossible for us to see that emptiness is the essential prerequisite for every form of being.
  21. @egoless It folds through itself for all infinity.
  22. @egoless Sounds like you've come full circle. Let it settle in.
  23. @2000 I agree but the wording is a little misleading as only Samadhi remains. So the statement "No one knows what enlightenment is" is true in that sense. The "experience" of Samadhi (as beautiful as it is) can be transcended. At that point the know-er completely vanishes. It is no longer an experience within conscious awareness. There are no descriptions to convey as in heavenly light or sounds or experiencing union. It is a complete absorption.
