  1. @SBB4746 For most it takes much more than a sentence uttered. So 100's of books are sometimes needed. And for a very few, 100's of books are totally unnecessary. I'll give an example: "When you finally realize there is no individual there will be no questions to ask" Are you enlightened now? Has the one who had a "deep curiosity" completely vanished? If so than you are one in a million. If not then reading is a path.
  2. @Gligorije Here's a quote to go with your new found realization. "What changes is not real. What is real does not change" You ask: "What is the world made of?" But who is asking since all is illusion? Are you not the illusion? "When you finally know that there is no individual, there will be no questions to ask"
  3. @MM1988 There are potential risks for users, especially those with underlying conditions. I'd be willing to bet if you told a doctor what you are doing they would tell you to stop immediately. Seriously, what is there to gain from doing this anyway? Is it really worth the risks? IMO you'd be better off trying something like lucid dreaming or astral travel. Oxygen starvation to the brain. That can't be a good thing.
  4. @phoenix666 It's just like in the Wizard of Oz. Dorothy had to look elsewhere to finally realize "There's no place Like Home". This is it! Right now, right here. Here you are. Nothing is spread out over time from past to future as it appears to be. Not at all. You are a singularity and totally complete now.
  5. @Tistepiste It seems your doing fine with the breath work but the focusing on the body turns into a mental activity/over thinking=distraction of sorts. The mind is a clever/ sneaky thing so it will try to throw all kinds of distractions in the way.
  6. @Christer Hi. I don't know if this will be of any help to you but I experienced something that seemed similar to what may be called access concentration. What I experienced was a sudden shift of awareness. I mean it was distinct. It was as if the mind became hyper focused like a laser beam. I can't say exactly what it was that happened. Maybe the brain came into perfect firing order as in both hemispheres were firing in tandem? Was it a shift in brain waves to pure thea or alpha waves? I think a big part if may have been due to the mind becoming perfectly still than perfectly focused. Until that experiance happened I never knew it could even be possible for that to happen. For me it was like discovering a hidden ability. I remember thinking to myself after it happened "Wow i never knew that was possible". Just to add, it seemed to be a hit or miss kind of thing. Like you just have to stumble upon it. As if it's hidden and the brain normally doesn't recognize it. If that makes any sense. Like finding a hidden door. But I believe the key that unlocks that "door" is a perfectly still but focused mind.
  7. @Big Guru Balls Make sure to listen to the rest of it. It's not all about Castaneda. It gets deeper than that.
  8. @Stoica Doru @robdl @Faceless @Big Guru Balls Yea, check this out. It's not just all about what it appears to be. It gets better as it progresses into the audience questioning in the 2nd half. Well worth watching!
  9. @Big Guru Balls That some dope shit there! You know what they say "When you can't dazzle em' with facts- baffle em' with bull shit".
  10. @Faceless Yes It can most easily be identified because it exists in the past or the future. A tell tale sign.
  11. The mental center ego/mind is a formatory apparatus. Identification with the formatory apparatus, also known as "talking in the head" or "staying in the head' is staying centered in the ego. When the mind becomes silent and attuned to the now the formatory apparatus naturally dissipates. @Faceless sometimes refers to this as "Headlessness".
  12. B-c otherwise you're doing it mindlessly like a mindless robot. Repeating the same old patterns unconsciously. Take someone who is addicted to nicotine for instance. They may light a cigarette and smoke it without realizing they smoked another and another just out of mindless habit. Then before they realize it the whole pack is gone. Most times they will think to themselves "Wow, did I smoke that whole pack already?" Only when one becomes consciously aware of theses patterns than can they take charge and break free of them.
  13. @Itay Spiegel Inner silence. When we stop the mind, we stop the world. Then everything becomes clearly seen.
  14. @Cortex This is all a distraction. Enough with the woo-woo paranormal stuff and things that go bump in the night.
  15. @Itay Spiegel When nothing remains, that is the absolute.
  16. @Cortex Relax, that's just the ego putting up a hissy fit. With a little scary imagination thrown in too just to make sure you stay in its clutches.
  17. @Ingit Anytime you think your in a body your using "ghost powers". My ghost powers are hitting these keys now.
  18. @Cortex@Widdle Puppy For a brief moment consciousness became liberated from the body/mind location. That is reality. Not consciousness being held captive at a body/mind location. That is illusion. Albeit a persistent one. The "ghost in the machine" that is.
  19. @Cortex Nice! Just for conversation- this should make sense to you. Someone was asking during the week about what meditation technique to use because there are so many and nothing is really working for them. My suggestion was just practice being the "empty screen of consciousness". Sounds like you've found what I was referring to. No thoughts of self, no thoughts of time passing, no sense of space. All thoughts are left behind and all that remains is empty awareness. It's like a vacation from all the mental activity that usually goes on. This is why it's sometimes said "meditation is more restful than sleep". Even during sleep there is still mental activity. Meditation goes beyond that. It is the fourth state of consciousness and unless it is directly experienced through practice most ppl would never know it exists.
  20. Your whole life is a way of discovering what you are. Keep the possibilities wide open. Let it not be limited to what the mind believes to be true.
  21. @Ingit Than your close to experiencing something your not yet ready for. Hang back and just let it slowly gel. Don't go to fast.
  22. @Ingit Or maybe your awake for the first time and all that was before was just a dream.
