  1. @Leo Gura Hi! I'd be interested to know how to overcome an obsession of any type
  2. As long as you live in the present and enjoy every second of it, you don't need to worry about what will happen when you'll die. Worry is futile.
  3. "The more I live consciously, the more I trust my mind and respect my worth; and if I trust my mind and respect my worth, it feels natural to live consciously. The more I live with integrity, the more I enjoy good self-esteem; and if I enjoy good self-esteem, it feels natural to live with integrity."
  4. Hi people! I've been reading for a while many stuff about life purpose and I came across this statement "Living consciously ".I'd like to know what that means for all of you.
  5. @Donald Thank you very much!
  6. @SoulSurferDo you know if i can't find this book online?
  7. @Cookiesliyr @Thomas Thank you for your replies and for the suggestions. Helps a lot
  8. Oh okay. I'm new on this forum so didn't know. Good to know
  9. @Leo Gura Hi! I came across this book "The Power of Now" written by Eckhart Tolle. He's telling his story about how he started his enlightment journey, but I guess you already read this book.I think this is a good lecture for our personal development. I'm curious about what's your opinion about Eckhart and about his awakening. You have some paragraphs extracted from his book below. "I couldn’t live with myself any longer. And in this a question arose without an answer: who is the ‘I’ that cannot live with the self? What is the self? I felt drawn into a void! I didn’t know at the time that what really happened was the mind-made self, with its heaviness, its problems, that lives between the unsatisfying past and the fearful future, collapsed. It dissolved. The next morning I woke up and everything was so peaceful. The peace was there because there was no self. Just a sense of presence or “beingness,” just observing and watching" The Power of now - Eckhart Tolle.
  10. @Arthur M Yeah It makes sense. I'll dig deeper in this matter
  11. @Arthur M How did you increase your self-esteem?
  12. Yeah, I'll defintely do that
  13. Really appreciate your advice
  14. Thank you Arthur. Today i watched "how to stop caring about what people think" and I will focus more on how to build self confidence. From what I understood assertiveness means persistency. So that would mean that you do what you have to do in order to achieve your task, goal, need etc.Am I right?
  15. Thank you very much for your opinion
