Next time do 5 deeper converasations with strangers. This will grow your skills more than 100 hellos. Gradually you will get better and better at conversation and they will become easier, more natural, and more enjoyable.
The key is to start enjoying it. Otherwise you won't be able to sustain it. If you enjoy it there won't be any anxiety either.

Vegas metroplex is ~2 million. What matters is the population of the metroplex, not the city.
But also, Vegas is very unlike other cities because of it's hardcore, 24/7 nightlife culture and 42.5 million visitors per year.
It's not just the raw population that matters. It's the culture, the age-range, male/female ratio, etc.
For example, Dallas-Fort Worth is a HUGE metroplex, but the nightlife is sucky. Austin has much smaller metroplex population but amazing nightlife. Don't be fooled by raw numbers.

As I said in my video Part 1, the problem is deeper than just getting laid. Many guys are simply horrible as socializing. Pickup is the most direct way of addressing that.
And as I said, some people get laid easily simply from the kind of job or career they have where they are constantly talk to new girls.

It shouldn't matter so much. Let him game his girl and you game yours. You two have to agree to pick targets and not cross swords. Just a bit of coordination is all it takes. Basically if you're working a 2-set you talk to each girl as if you're one-on-one with her. There is no need to entertain both girls at once. Of course, be friendly together, but also keep your convos isolated. You need to do that anyway to build intimacy and romance.

Going out to clubs will force you to switch out of logical/serious state.
Basically, learn how to let loose and party without alcohol.

The mind tends to function in different modes or states. Logical state is one thing, spiritual state is another thing, and emotional party state is very different from that.
You have to learn to set aside the logical state and the spiritual state and just go into a sort of animalistic dumb party state, where you party and dance like a drunk fool (minus the drinking). That can be tricky to do if you spend 95% of your time in the logical and spiritual states.

In practice advanced people are not so flexible. There are tradeoffs for being advanced.
Personally it takes me a lot of work to act stupid. I can do it, but it's not my forte.

@StarStruck You should not try to mirror Brand. You need to find your own authentic natural style, which will probably be much more chill and laid-back.
Chill style can be very effective. You don't have to be zany and high-energy.

All girls are attracted to the same thing. The hotter ones are just harder to be fun and chill and detached with. It's because you feel she is hot that you start acting weird, needy, and try-hard.
Hotter girls also simply have way more guys competing against you to get her, so your opportunities are much more limited. And since hot girls are rare, you simply don't bump into them often enough to have a good chance of attracting them. It's easier to attract an average girl simply because they are 20x more common and available.

You can build your skills and get paid for it at the same time. Don't be afraid or feel like you aren't good enough. Everyone has to start somewhere and fake it a bit. Everybody has a first client where they've never worked with someone before, everyone has invoice #1. If you have to start by working for less than minimum wage just to get some experience and confidence then do that. 
1. I don't. Websites like Upwork or Fiverr are a great place to get started and get some freelancing experience. But eventually you have to break out of them or it's not much better than being a wage slave. Upwork takes 20% for the first $500 you bill to a client... that's f***ng absurd and you'll never get rich that way.
To be a successful freelancer you have to be a business owner and learn to do your own client acquisition and marketing. 
To start off you can look at job boards related to your freelancing topic if they exist. The pay rates aren't that high, but it's better than paying 20% to the platform like Upwork. Eventually you want to start cold pitching companies and asking if they want to work with you. The way to get work is to just go out and ask people to pay you to do stuff. 
Counter-intuitively, the really low-paying clients on sites like Upwork and Fiverr are also the biggest dicks and the most petty and picky when it comes to your work. Good paying clients tend to be a lot more chill and easy to work with.
2. Writer but it doesn't matter, do what you love. I love writing. If I decided I want to be a freelance photographer or video editor or voice actor or logo designer, I could get all the knowledge and start earning $1,000/month in any of those areas in 2 months. I've actually been debating getting into voice acting just to see what it's like.
3. No formal education or training related to my freelancing. I went to school for something totally unrelated. I have 3-4 years experience now, but when I started I had 0 days in writing aside from maybe being a little above-average at English in school.
Here is all you need to get started as a freelancer...
Watch like 5 hours of Youtube videos related to your freelancing skill to get a feel for what it's like and if it's a good fit for you, then find the best online course related to it that you can for $200 or less (probably it will be offered by one of the Youtubers you already watched), then make a website with a couple example pieces of your work and start applying for jobs. You don't know how to make a basic website? I didn't either. There's Youtube tutorials for that. A big part of having your own business is being able to Google stuff and figure it out for yourself. Don't let not knowing how to do something stop you from getting started or making progress. Don't let yourself say "I don't have experience" or "I don't know how" any more. You don't need a university professor for validation to tell you that you're right, you can just go learn it yourself and do it without getting permission from anyone.

1) Then maybe raise your standards.
2) If you can find the girls outside the club, then why do you need the club? What is the problem?
3) Or you can just wait till you're inside the club to start approaching. Talking to girls on the street is often not logistically sound, which is why it's better to do it inside the club where the girls are actually standing around and not running off somewhere else.
4) When you approach you must take into account logistical soundness. It is pointless to approach a girl who is running off somewhere. You gotta approach in a way where you have a reasonable chance of hooking her and getting her to stop and talk to you. Don't just be a mindless approach machine. You must consider which logistical situations lead to success and which ones do not.
5) Although of course you can pick girls up off the street, so don't let that stop you. Usually the best thing is to wait till you're in the club to hit on girls, then once the night is dying down, you can hit on girls outside the club as they go home. It tends to be a waste of time hitting on girls outside the club as they walk into the club -- you are better off hitting on them in the club.

Massive practice approaching with built up state, and listening to lots of in-field verbals. Study good in-field to have example of good verbals for you to emulate.

It's odd that girls are going on dates with you but not sleeping with you or seeing you again. This is not an attraction problem because if the girl was not attracted she would never agree to a first date. Sounds like you just need to work on your date game. You should be closing like 50%-75% of your dates.
On dates you gotta be building deep rapport / romantic connection and escalating physically.
Don't give up yet. It sounds like you are close to decent success.

Setting your standards too high is a big newbie trap. And I say this as someone who has very high standards. I learned my lesson the hard way.

If you want to get good at pickup -- for a hard case newbie like yourself -- you're looking a 5,000-10,000 approaches.
Move to a BIG city and start approaching for real. Get some good wing men who will keep you company and keep you motivated.
If you're talking about terminal cancer, then you should be prepared to work your butt off to cure it. The good news is, you can make massive progressive with massive action. The problem is, so far, your action-taking hasn't been massive enough.

When I was serious about it, I was doing 20 approaches per night.
The most I did was 700 approaches in one month.
It took me 450 approaches to get my first girl.
Of course it's not just about quantity. Quality of approach matters A LOT. But for newbies, sheer quantity is needed to build up the quality, cause a newbie doesn't know what quality means yet.
The whoke key to pickup is you gotta find a place where you can quickly make 20 approaches per night/day. And you can only do that in very specific areas, like a big nightclub, or downtown area, or giant shopping mall, or busy beach.
Best places are:
NYC LA Venice Beach Santa Monica Miami Austin Vegas London Etc.

Just think what it does to your self esteem when you believe you need to stealth-weasel your way into a girl's vagina.
