Can you live without your laptop, internet, or tv for a few hours, days, weeks?

I'll admit that I have been distracted by over thinking. Such a subtle thing to notice when one is distracted. I mean even as I type it's such a simple thing. I am working towards improving this and making things simpler. Figured this is something to bring attention to because it's so easy to get distracted these days with technology. I was mainly curious about those that use the forum and how others feel about their level of self-awareness and self-discipline towards being mindful.

For the past couple of years, I've gotten little to no results.
It's simple, you're not taking enough action.
Health conditions can be very debilitating if they get bad enough, so you can't always just act your way out of them, unlike other kinds of problems. All success assumes a foundation of good health.

    That's how slavery works.
You think slaves were not creative and didn't have dreams? But they had to work the cotton fields all day until they had no more day left to do anything else.
See, the real solution was to plan your life from age 5 to 20 in such a way that you when you left your house you never had to enter wage slavery. Why isn't this something you foresaw and forestalled when you were 10 years old? A good life requires planning. You can't just wing it and expect to have nice things.
What you're not appreciating is that just to materialize your creative skill is a huge luxury and privilege. You will have to work your ass off for years just to reach the point where you can begin to work your ass off to do something creatively meaningful. Creativity is no small thing.
You gotta learn to appreciate how serious this thing called life is. The majority of mankind slave away HARD for 50 years, and then they die. That's life for something like 80% of the people on this planet. Brutal, grinding, endless labor with very little pay, freedom, nor respect. If you want something more than that, you'll have to be extra clever and resourceful to get it.
Life is just a lot harder than people assume.

  4. Having fun without alcohol
    Having fun without alcohol
    There is no secret.
Talk to people and enjoy yourself.
Dance on the dance floor a bit to build up your state.
Cultivate some fun friends/wings, and talk shit with them.
Smile a lot, laugh a lot, amuse yourself, tell funny jokes.

Is cold approach really the best strategy in college?
Of course I know exactly what you mean.
My point is simply that pickup just boils down to forcing yourself to approach and talk to girls. The rest is petty details.
It is a mistake to hold pickup as some secret scheme that you execute between the hours of 2pm and 4pm every Thursday in order to manipulate a few unsuspecting targets into sleeping with you.
You can approach pickup that way, but my suggestion is that you shouldn't.

  7. Questions for getting the most out of lp course
Questions for getting the most out of lp course
The sales page says it contains 25+ hours of video. Then you've got to figure probably at least 30 minutes x 10 value passes. At least another 10 hours for the strength assessment and life purpose exercises. Making a vision board should take you at least a couple hours, making your list of goals.
First time through I'd say probably 50 - 60 hours without rushing it.
I've done it every December since 2017, so this will be my 5th year. Actually I just found an email with my LP exercises I sent myself in November 2016 so it might be 6.
I don't see much value in re-doing it more than once a year. The first time through it'll take several months just to integrate everything and make it a part of your life. Even doing it once a year, I find that not much has changed. My values re-organize slightly every year, and after covid, freedom jumped way up to top 3 for me. But otherwise I haven't been able to come up with a new life purpose, despite kind of wanting a change haha. So it's more just re-calibrating and confirming that you're on the right track. I've tried changing mediums a bit, but my LP has stayed the same.
Mostly it's a good jumping-off point to re-evaluate my current set of goals and see if I want to change or reprioritize some for the next year.
The second time onward, I listen to the Intro and Core Concepts section at 2x speed, so I shave at least 6 hours off.
You need to give the exercises your full attention every time though.

  8. Do feminists and leftists hate pickup and cold approach?
Do feminists and leftists hate pickup and cold approach?
Stay calm, never fight back, apologize if you must, don't get your ego involved, back off, and treat them with respect and kindness.
It's not guaranteed to work, but it's your best shot to avoid getting stabbed.
    Pretty much yeah.
But if things get real serious you just back away and leave.
Don't forget the power of a sincrene apology.

  9. Do feminists and leftists hate pickup and cold approach?
Do feminists and leftists hate pickup and cold approach?
Dude, there will always be girls who simply hate you for no good reason. Stop focusing on that.
If you approach enough girls, eventually one of them will tell her boyfriend to stab you with a knife.
And yet, you go out and approach. Stop being a pussy.

  10. RSD julien
    RSD julien
Of course eventually you must let it all go and just socialize and have fun with girls.
That's all game EVER was: go out, approach, have fun with girls.
Stop making it complicated. You don't need to watch endless PUA theory videos.
The way to deal with state is by approaching regardless every time. You won't ever be perfect at it, just do your best. YES! You will have some shitty nights. Not all your nights will you be on fire in club.
As you got out a lot you will learn su tle tricks that you can do to put yourself into state, like dancing for 10 mins on the dance floor or thinking only positive thoughts.

  11. Suicide is starting to be attractive to me from time to time
Suicide is starting to be attractive to me from time to time
Obviously just because you like consuming a thing does not mean you will like working on it.
Liking pizza does not mean you should become a pizza maker.
The real question, in which way do you enjoy being creative? What do you love to create, not consume?
    1) Keep doing creative stuff and look for what resonates.
    2) Being creative is challenging. It will not be as easy or effortless as eating pizza, so don't expect that.
Pick based on passion, not effort, because you might just have a bad work ethic.
    Yes, very poor foundation.
In a sense you are way too entitled. Life is not a Disney Land ride. Life is challenging and all work is repetitive to a degree. You have to acquire a taste for the mastery process. You CAN learn to enjoy some craft, but it takes building up skill and momentum. It's not gonna be like playing video games. It's time to grow into an adult. It sounds like you're still a child.
You need to sort out and optimize your diet and health, so that your brain chemistry is healthy and stable. Get some blood work done to see if you have any imbalances in vitamins or hormones. You could have a deficiency in vitamin D, B12, thyroid T4/T3, testosterone, etc. Such things cannot just be overlooked. You gotta investigate this things seriously and rule them out.
Check for heavy metal toxicity and other conditions.
If you have a medical condition you need to find it and fix it, otherwise nothing else will work properly. Get your foundation fixed.
Stuff like that can directly cause depression too.
This sounds like a medical condition which you need to identify.
Heavy metal toxicity causes stuff like brain fog, memory loss, depression, chronic fatigue, difficulty with language, etc.

  12. How Do Highschool "exam Results" Matter?
How Do Highschool "exam Results" Matter?
They matter in the sense that if you can't discipline yourself to ace a government exam, how you gonna ace the much more emotionally challenging aspects of life?
How you show up in life tend to be consistent. I find that people who slack off in school tend to have the exact same attitude towards life. And their lives are shit.
That said, of course there is no direct causal link. You could technically flunk school and become a rockstar human being, but I wouldn't bet money on that.
And none of this is to say there aren't serious problems with our education system. There are! Which is why I recommend taking your education into your own hands. Going WAY beyond the basic curriculum, but also including it.
As far as grades themselves, and even entire diplomas, the truth is they virtually don't matter in real adult life. Nobody cares about your grades, diploma, or what school you went to. They care about what results you can generate. And if they DO care, then those are the kind of people and places I would avoid, because it's just a silly status game. Focus on mastering life and business, not on jumping through somebody's hoops like a well-trained poodle.

  13. Why do the rich get richer?
Why do the rich get richer?
    Inertia, critical mass.
How do the top Youtubers gain hundreds of thousands of new subscribers a month? When someone with 100 or 1,000 subscribers struggles to double their subscribers in a year, while putting in more effort?
Once you hit a certain size, your fans and customers start doing your advertising for you for free, via word-of-mouth. People start writing news articles about you and giving you free publicity. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Earning your first $1 -- Finding anything that works and doing it
Earning your first $100 -- Replicating what you did to earn your first $1 a hundred more times
Earning your first $1,000 -- Finding a way to increase the price that you charge, or the amount of work that you do
Earning your first $10,000 -- Developing a repeatable system that provides consistent results
Earning your first $100,000 -- Optimizing your system and making the most out of your time/effort
Earning your first $500,000 -- Automating your system and taking yourself out of the equation. Breaking free of the constraints of time and the 24-hour day. Hiring people to do your work for you.
Earning your first $1,000,000 - Making your money start to work for you and earn its own money.
IMO the hardest step is automating. Going from being 1 guy with a food truck who works 12 hours a day, to opening a restaurant. Or going from being a solo painter or landscaper, to having a team of painters or landscapers working in a company below you and moving to a management / admin / lead gen role. There's 10x more stuff to learn than any other step... mostly around how to manage your staff and maintain your same level of quality without having to do the work yourself.
Once you can make one successful business, then you can essentially just franchise it, expand and open more locations across the country. At some point then you can outsource even the leadership and hire a CEO, and just become a faceless shareholder, where most of the employees in the company don't even know your name. If your CEO is good then you're totally hands-off and just have a call once a quarter for him to tell you how much more money you're making than last quarter, give him his $1M bonus while you take $100M. Then while your first successful business is making money on autopilot, you have all your time back to go and build another entirely different business up, and another, and another. And a lot of the business skills will transfer over, so you already know 90% of what to do.
Then when you have a whole portfolio of different companies under the umbrella of your mega holding company, you don't even have to start the new companies yourself any more. You just come up with business ideas and provide the funding, then pay people to go implement them from start to finish. Or invest in / buy up promising-looking new companies.
Business is basically just Cookie Clicker IRL lul

  14. Is 1 hour cold approach session enough?
Is 1 hour cold approach session enough?
If you're serious you'll be doing 4 hour sessions.
But you don't have to start with that.
The session should last as long as there are girls worth approaching. When you run out of girls, you go home.

  15. Are drugstore medications bad for you?
Are drugstore medications bad for you?
Best to avoid it. Only use it if you really can't cope without it.
Tylenol cold is good if you get a fever.
Pretty much all such medicines contain toxic chemicals.
You can find organic herbs, teas, and supplements for colds, soar throats, fevers, immune boosts, etc.
Never take medicine just because some gives it to you, not even a doctor. All of it needs to be researched and double-checked whether its truly needed. People will give you all sorts of bad and useless drugs as part of medical group-think.

  16. How to not get friendzoned?
    How to not get friendzoned?
Every new girl you meet, it's a ticking timebomb counting down before you end up irreversibly in the friendzone.
If you can tell her how you feel in the first 1 - 3 times you hang out with her it's best. The longer it goes on, the more likely you are to enter the friendzone.
You don't need to crack some puzzle of touching her some certain way in a certain order or anything complicated. Just tell her how you feel.
Tell her that you like her and want to date, in a non-creepy way, and sooner rather than later.  That gives you the optimal chance of starting to date her or getting laid.
You'd think that if you draw it out and let her get to know you for weeks or months, her chance of saying yes would go up when you finally do say something. But paradoxically it only makes things worse.

  17. How to not get friendzoned?

  18. I have accomplished EVERYTHING by 30. What should I live for anymore?
I have accomplished EVERYTHING by 30. What should I live for anymore?
Art and your life's work (LP) is a never-ending source of shit to do.
Life is very empty & easy when you're not creating anything.
It's not about making more money, it's about creating beautiful things for the world.
Go try to launch a company that does something innovative for mankind. That'll keep ya busy.

  19. Thoughts on Anime? Are they a distraction? My results.
Thoughts on Anime? Are they a distraction? My results.
Anime copers are going to get mad about this statement, but I've never met someone who was super into anime that was a healthy and well-balanced person. They all have uhhhh extremely quirky personalities, to put it lightly.
I guess you could say the same about people who watch western cartoons like Family Guy or Rick and Morty too. Or even just people who binge Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, etc in general. People who play too many video games. People who collect Funko Pops.
But there's something particular about the weeb that's distinctly broken within them, that attracts them to anime, I think. To seek out anime and become engrossed in it, it's a different level of escapism than someone who watches western shows.
Are the characters and storyline better and way more developed than western shows? Idk, I haven't watched an anime since I was like 13. I got into DBZ, Cardcaptors, Gundam Wing, etc for a time. But at the end of the day, even if they're superior, you're still watching cartoons as an adult.
If it's a guilty pleasure that you engage in for a few hours a week, fine.
If you start talking about anime to normal non-weeb people, proselytizing to them in an evangelical way about how great anime is, then you've gone way over the edge. If you watch so much anime that you start to throw Japanese phrases into your everyday conversations, or take on the mannerisms and style of anime characters, it's definitely time to take a break.

  20. Building VR worlds as a newbie
Building VR worlds as a newbie
Virtual worlds are gonna be a HUGE thing in the future. Perhaps bigger than the internet is today.
Zuckerberg is right about that. Just the way he's going about it is all weird and creepy.

  21. There has to be a hack...
There has to be a hack...
The ability to effortlessly socialize with, have fun with, and attract cool people into your life.
Imagine having a rich, abundant social life where more people want to be your friend than you have time for. Where you have to turn people down. You can create that, if you want it. And if you create that, sex will be easy.

  22. I rejected myself when I approached her. I want to know why this happens?
I rejected myself when I approached her. I want to know why this happens?
Because you have not trained yourself for months to be a closer.
After feeling the pain of losing 100 more girls even better than her, you will learn to close.

  23. Girl Aggresively Pushed My Arm During Pickup
Girl Aggresively Pushed My Arm During Pickup
Just let it go and move on. Do not enter into confrontations with upset girls. Just talk to new ones. Some girls will be in bad moods and arguing with them never leads to anything good.
I've had girls punch me or claw me. It happens.

  24. How to actually find out if a girl has a boyfriend ?
How to actually find out if a girl has a boyfriend ?
    "Are you single?"

  25. How to deal with early success In cold approaching?
How to deal with early success In cold approaching?
Obviously if you develop deep emotional connection then more will be expected.
I mean situations where you meet a new girl and don't spend much time with her.
Yeah, if you spend a month buttering her up, and then you sleep with her, she will be very attached to you and she will expect something exclusive. Cause you set that frame.
It's all about the frame you set. If you set the serious boyfriend frame and take her on many dates then she will expect exclusivity much sooner.
If you are approaching lots of girls and getting lots of phone numbers then you are not building deep connections with them, so little is expected of you. The girls are not attached to you, they barely know you exist. It takes a girl a lot more to get emotionally invested in you. Until sex, you care way more about her than she cares about you.
