  1. Zeno's paradoxes of motion were my favorite ones while I was in my teens. After doing psychedelics, it feels like I am stuck in one, lol
  2. Leo, should I prioritise my happiness or my ambition? I am finding it difficult to synthesize both these goals.
  3. Thank you. This post has given me a lot of clarity.
  4. This was a great read! Somehow found it in the middle of my trip, feels very relatable.
  5. First of all, I want to know your opinion on whether you consider Poker to be gambling, or a skill based game. Secondly, I want to know what do you think of making a career as a professional poker player. Finally, what are your thoughts on building a platform, where these professional poker players make their living? Can someone break this down for me in terms of spiral dynamics stages, and what you guys think is their viability in today's world (and comparing different parts of the world, like US vs Africa).
  6. Hi, Someone with experience developing games (I know Leo is one), can you please point me towards how to get access to a group of game engine developers who would be willing to work on a full-time/contract/freelance basis for creating a table-top game? Is there some Discord server for this?
  7. Which class of drugs? Psychedelic? Herbal? Allopathic? Homeopathic?
  8. @impulse9 there is a rule on tig: Rule #4: Avoid posting job offers if you have no gamedev experience. There have been multiple instances in the past of people posting offers for both paid and unpaid work while themselves having no experience making games. These projects generally ended in disaster and wasted colossal amounts of time for those involved. If you've never made a game before, but want to hire people to make a game for you, please do not do that. You will likely waste people's time making something that will never make it onto the market. This is not meant to be discouraging or harsh, it is fact. People who lack experience and leadership lead their teams to their eventual doom. Would you be willing to at least help me post my requirements on that forum? I can pay you hourly for consultation and creation of document. Let me know if you can help me out, as I am from software development background (Ex-Amazon Engineer), but do not have personal experience creating games.
  9. Thanks a lot man. This is really helpful. It will take me this week to actually ingest what you just said, and then probably I can create the GDD, and start hunting the perfect candidate.
  10. How much? Would you be willing to come on a voice call to discuss this?
  11. Logical sense -> Random events -> Probability distribution -> perfect alignment -> Perfect symmetry -> ArdhNareshwar -> Shiva
  12. Infinity can be as large or as small you want it to be. Infinitesimally larger or infinitesimally smaller.
  13. At a very basic level, think of all the people you love in this world. Do you think they will be better off without you?
  14. The problem with prioritizing quantity over quality is that, you might end up losing a lot of high value customers, who might just consider your content to be noise.
  15. I know a team of people who can set up solar power plants across India on commercial properties. I need 6 Million dollars investment to setup a 10 MegaWatt capacity across locations, and there will be a 12% annual return on investment, which will be paid on a monthly basis, after 8 months. How should I go about creating a financial instrument, and raising funds for executing this?
  16. Guys, can someone please explain to me if a war breaks out, how will India play a role?!
  17. Hey Leo! I come from a STEM background, and was looking into the Benford's law, and thought it would make for a great video, to have your insights about why the distribution is what it is. Here is the wikipedia page for the same - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benford's_law
  18. My father cured himself of anal fistula on his own, without any surgery. Going for surgery can unravel its own set of complications. So to answer your question, yes, it is possible to consciously get rid of painful chronic 24/7 illness, and in my case, I witnessed first hand a person use yogic practices to get him out of a tough spot.
  19. An example - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cereus_Poker_Network Current online poker platforms have a multitude of problems, which could be solved, given you know the technical and business nuances.
  20. Hi, This is my first post on this forum, I didn't know where to post this, so going with the general discussion sub-category. I came across Actualized.org in 2017, when a friend of mine tried to get me to listen to one of Leo's sermon's while we were driving back home from work (we had a good 50 km drive every day during those days, through Delhi's peak traffic). I did not pay much heed to it, till the time I decided to watch one of the videos myself. The first video I seriously watched was the "Reality is a strange loop" video, and I was quite amused by the fact that I was reading Godel, Escher, Bach at the time. Then came one of the turning points in my life. I took LSD for the first time in January 2018. And boy, did I have a bad trip. It was a full-blown psychosis, and majorly down to the fact that I did not fully understand what I was getting into, and took it as a recreational drug. The friend who had introduced me to Actualized.org was also a part of that trip, and he tried his best to help me make sense of things, especially through Leo's videos. One funny thing I remember is that just a day after taking LSD, I was watching one of Leo's videos in my apartment, and I was convinced that he is talking to me from some cave, live. Anyway, that was that, and it took me a good 6-8 months to fully make sense of what happened during that trip, and come back out on the other side. I had to battle depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts, something which I had never experienced before. I came face to face with my most primal instincts. In these 6-8 months, I took complete break from work (I could afford to do that because I had my own startup at this point), and just consumed knowledge available on the internet. I have to say, this has left me a lot wiser than before. Fast forward to 2019, and I was planning my second LSD trip in May (and it did happen). This was also not that good, but I only went into the dark depths for about a couple of days, as compared to months last time. I had watched a lot of Leo's videos, so I had the tools to handle it better this time around. I had been meditating on and off since 2016, but I don't think my meditation practice is anywhere strong enough to help me through an acid trip. On 2nd August, I had my third acid trip, and first solo acid trip. I was quite amused to see Leo's video about dangers of psychedelics posted around the same time. A skill I learned before the third trip was to source acid in my area in a safe manner on my own, as all my previous trips, I had got the acid from my friends. It was the first time I did not experience any post-trip negativity, which is a huge progress for me. I plan on doing LSD for a long time, even though Leo recommends DMT. I don't think I am ready for that right now, and LSD trips themselves are quite profound for me. So, the essence is, that I want to thank Leo for all the work he does! I can't imagine what my mental state would have been without his guidance and wisdom. I am Hindu, and have read Bhagawad Gita, and I find it really amazing that you have reached the same ideas and teachings through your own explorations, which are part of a monumental manuscript. P.S. - Leo, please add an SSL certificate to your root website. (https://letsencrypt.org/ might help)
  21. Thanks a lot for the positive vibes <3
  22. @Preety_India wow, it sucks to be in this situation. May I just know if you have someone else whom you do want to marry? Because the state our society is in, I don't think it is currently possible for you to convince your parents to not marry altogether. If you do have someone whom you want to marry, I may help you chalk out a plan to make that a reality. I have a friend, who is a Brahmin from city, and his girlfriend is from a farmer's family in Haryana. They are facing a lot of resistance from both families, but are still standing strong. I personally am not going through this, but both my friends have faced a lot of resistances. The girl's family members have even tried guilt tripping her into believing that their poor mental state is due to her relationship, and they are getting suicidal because of that. She is still standing strong through all this bullshit because of support from my friend (and somewhat me). Remember, when a gun is pointed at you, rather than being shot at, you do one of the other 147 things possible. EDIT - Reading my response again, I see I mentioned it might not be possible to not marry altogether, but who am I to say
